This was a really really good love suspense. I enjoyed every aspect of Kira and Cooper's relationship.

The perfect thing for me in the story was that in the beginning they were already in some kind of relationship. Still, that didn't stopped them to keep fighting for their love by getting over their fears.

This is the second book that I am reading from Riley Edwards and I loved it 😍😍😍.

Wow, this is the first book I’ve read from this author and I totally loved it! It was a very emotional read with so many team members having regrets for past trauma. While it had some action, emotions played a big part. It was extremely well written and the story kept moving. The steam between Coop and Kira was perfect and rounded the story off well in my opinion. I’d certainly rate this higher than five stars if I could! I received an advanced reader copy and I’m leaving this review voluntarily.

Wow! Just when I think her books couldn’t get any better, they do. I don’t know how she does it, but each book is so different and fresh than the last ones. I think Cooper is my new favorite, well until the next book comes out. I loved Cooper and Kira together. I love how he fought for them. This book will keep you guessing. And as always, Zane shines and is still hilarious! Dare I say, I can’t wait for the next book!!!!

It is no secret that I love Riley Edwards' books.

This is the 5th book in the Blue Team series. It can notionally be read as a standalone but you will have much better context if you have read other books in the Blue team series.

The book starts with Cooper and Kira already in a relationship. However, Cooper does not believe this will last. And when a dangerous situation slides sideways, Kira is the one to pull back.

Riley does an excellent job in writing characters that are flawed. The book contextualises emotional responses and gives us a deep dive into the feelings and insecurities of both Cooper and Kira (but also some of our secondary characters). As a reader, I am not only engaged in the story but also rooting for the characters to overcome their emotional baggage to live a full life.

Add in an Alpha hero, a strong, sassy heroine and a good dose of action (this book less so than others, given the stalker vibe), and you have an entertaining read by an author that matches technical competent writing with an emotional wallop and a good dose of laugh out loud humor. The perfect combination!

I received an ARC from ValentinePR, but this is my honest review.

I love Riley Edwards books. They are well written and edited. The characters are fully developed. They are all growly alpha males who love hard and not afraid to express that love and strong women who are able to tame them. All the books are stand alone but you get all your old favorites along with new ones. Of all the men I love Zane the most. He is vicious when needed, funny, sweet , demanding and does not give two f__ks who he offends.
I guess you could say that Cooper and Kira are a friends to lovers story even though they both wanted each other from first meeting. They both carry baggage that needs to be worked out so they can move their relationship forwards, especially Kira.
Kira is a great addition to the team. She is smart and witty and a wicked tongue that rivals Zane.
It is a definite must read! It will not disappoint.

Cooper and Kira work together and now play together. They both have emotional baggage to unpack. Cooper is head over heels for her and wants to protect her at all cost. Kira is independent and wants to be part of the action. She now has a stalker and it’s game on! There is tons of cyber talk and back and forth computer talk. This is a great fast paced read with a lot going on. I enjoyed All the characters getting involved and having each other’s backs. This has been a intense series that I have truly enjoyed. I’m already looking forward to seeing what happens next!

I don't hide my obsession with Zane. Since he was introduced, I've devoured every book, even when he was a side character. This book just proved why he is my favorite. The bond he and Kira share is to die for. I laughed, got teary eyed, and fell in love all over again. His rant about throw pillows had me dying.

I loved watching Kira grow and heal. I don't think that would have been possible without Cooper and the team. Cooper was swoon worthy. I can't wait to see what happens next with this band of brothers.

Love Cooper, Riley does not disappoint, the story had little bit of everything, suspense, romance and angst. But what's not to love hot sexy guy, strong woman and hot sex. With lots of laughs and some tears. You just got to love Zane he is just to funny.

Oh. My. Cooper!
In the latest of Riley Edwards’s Blue Team series, “Cooper,” we get a chance to watch the title character - Jaxon’s baby brother and a former LAPD SWAT officer - fall hard for his best gal pal. Cooper is protective, sexy, and he cannot fathom not having the beautiful and brainy Kira. These two have as much baggage as they do white-hot chemistry, and reading about the twists and turns of their journey to HEA had me reading into the wee hours of the morning. One sitting. No breaks. Couldn’t put it down if I tried (which…of course, I didn’t). The heart-tugging emotional moments nearly broke me. Ugly crying was imminent at a couple of points until one of the characters would deliver an unexpected one-liner, and I’d be laughing through my misty eyes. The steamy bits were off the charts, and the danger had me on the edge of my seat. One thing I absolutely LOVE about Edwards’s work is that she fosters such a bond between her military bada$$es that you get a true sense of family, and I get so excited to see what previous couples are up to with each new title in the series. The action, suspense, and humor in the story, as well as the absolute devotion these amazing characters have for the whole Z Corp family (and in her other series too!), makes every Riley Edwards read incredibly special in my opinion. Tons and tons and tons of stars here, Ms. Edwards.

I absolutely loved this book, it’s about Cooper who we have all been waiting for and Kira. Kira holds a lot of demons and fears that she blocks due to losing her family and Cooper is just so easy going until Kira is in danger. Zane had a big part with Kira in this book and the scene just about caused a serious ugly cry at that moment. Wow! It’s rare for me to do that in a book. Riley Edwards sure knows how to make you give up that ugly cry, trust me. This is a great book You also have some one line zingers with Zane and the crew that made me laugh out loud. One of my favorites was the scene where it was said “You must’ve been taught that common core math!” Also the condom jokes and making balloons are priceless too.
On another note as I’ve read both the book and audio, I have to admit Sebastian York did a excellent job as the voice for Cooper. Very sexy! I also enjoyed listening to the audio where Zane takes with Kira, I thought it got to me reading it, nope listening to it did.

I really enjoyed this book and it hit nearly every one of my big tick triggers for a Riley Edwards romance
* Strong female
* Alpha H who gets totally with the “I’m in love” programme and does it so sweetly my teeth rot
* heart melting Zane moments
* LOL Zane moments
* fantastic interactions with the rest of the other teams in the series

Wow, well what a return to the blue team this is and whilst I can’t wait wait wait for Garrett to get his hea, I’m dying for the silver team to get started too!

So anyway, back to Cooper. Well he was just a tall glass of sweetness wasn’t he. That first chapter, the car….that scene pretty well describes this book. Hot and steamy with a good amount of romance and two characters strong in their own right who just know how to get stuff done for themselves and perfectly performed by Janine and Sebastian. the performance my both brought this book and all its deep and hard emotions to life and made it much more heart rending than just reading it had been.

I loved how cognisant Cooper was to Kira’s needs and mindful of how she had spend a good number of years. Hiding away, solitary and with a huge amount of pain she needed to process. The more I hear about Finn, the more I am so sorry he wasn’t a character we get to meet and I felt so sorry for Kira especially when she described having Finn to support her when their parents died but when he died she has no one 😭

I adored how self sufficient, baddass and intelligent she was with such super hacker skills. Watching Garrett and Zane tease those out of her was such a great part of this book and I liked how Garrett admitted she was better at some things than him (#strongwomen) I loved how loved she was by the Silver team and how they stepped up to show her when she needed them to. She was totally their honorary little sister. Similarly I loved how she stepped up and showed Garrett the way forward.

Their relationship could have gone so many ways but I think this book was actually in lots of ways as much about her relationship with him and Silver as it was with Cooper. In fact from the beginning they were pretty much together so the do we/don’t we get together angst is missing here and totally replaced by angst of another sort. That’s not to say this relationship is easy, absolutely nothing of the sort here at all but so worthwhile the heartache and pain as you read it. Loved it. Will reread it and highly recommend it

Also…..Shep 🫣 I mean you gave him a name so any chance of a book to follow 😀

This is book 5 in the Blue Team series and I would absolutely read previous books before reading this one. Although this could be read as a standalone, it would make more sense (in my opinion) reading it after the other books. In this one we get Cooper and Kira's story! Cooper quit his job that he loved and left California after a hostage situation went completely wrong. He can still see the scenes in his mind and feel the guilt from failing to help. But he has also gotten good at hiding his pain and guilt behind humor and jokes. And when he meets Kira, he knows his life has changed for good. Kira spent years hiding behind her computer screen and staying in the shadows. Now she feels like she has so much to make up for and wants to live her life to the fullest. And she has decided that Cooper is going to be something that she gets to keep for herself. But when a stalker comes out to play with her life, will she hide like he wants her to? Or will they lose what they could have had before they ever truly had it?

I absolutely loved this story!! I wanted Cooper's story ever since we saw him in his brother's book. I am sooo glad that his story didn't disappoint in any way! Cooper is a man that feels responsibility, even for the things that he cannot control. And when the worst thing happened-it could have completely broken him if he had been a different man. It did change him though and give him nightmares that he has to work past. But it also showed him that he has this strength of character and just so much heart to him. I loved his character. Kira. Kira has been through so much in her life. And it has shaped her as an adult in ways that even she didn't fully realize. I loved her, she is usually such a happy, sunshiny, and fun loving person. But she also has so much pain that you don't fully understand until certain things bring it back to the surface. And if you have ever lost someone who you were exceptionally close to, you will understand just what kind of pain that is. And you will completely understand a certain paragraph that hit me hard but it's so absolutely true. I cried through parts of this book. Just because it really hit home in a lot of ways, but also because the way these characters are written-you can't help but feel heartbroken for them. I think this book has been pushed up higher than a lot of books that I love. It's pretty close to the top for me!

What a way to start, Sebastian York and steam with a sassy, amazing, live wire h and humour. Simply wow. This gal's wit went to to toe for Zane.
Riley and the blue team are superb. The hilarity with kids mixed in with Zane and his alphas had me belly laughing.
We get steam, serious military missions, jocularity, and zane wit, all bandied about in the best juxtaposition ever.
Each book just makes Zane bigger and better than before.
I so enjoyed that the H and h had the same train of thought for eachother although it was packed with obstacles.
And so the tango started, with emotions pulling me in every direction, all churned in with the mystery and mission critical

Emotionally I was pulled in and felt for not only an alpha I haven't got history on, but the heartsore h's history. And the way that these feelings tie into the h was fantastically clever.
But as I settled in for some fun, i got slapped, and in turn I wanted TO slap. How can someone be kickass smart and terrified at the same time?
Listen on..... was my only answer.
I bled and teared up with her sadness and I thought the H was gonna have to step up for sure. I got a nice suprise with Cooper, he's portrayed differently in the other books, so getting to know him on a personal level was intriguing and eye opening. And the way Riley wrote his past, lashed out and drowned me in a devastating way.
Creepy, scary comes out to play on a more personal level and it was hold my breath time.
So much soul searching and brutal in your face dialogue, kept my mind pinging and I felt for Theo in one chapter.
The underlying tone of Riley's words portraying the outcome of tragedy within each individual was profound and warmly expressed. An amazing piece of writing.
But more than that this novel was about closure for a lot of character's. There was spirit, strength, nobility, loyalty, guilt, all tangled within each person and by the end of the plotline everything was magnificently untangled.
I am secretly happy to say I narrowed down and then guessed the bad guy.
I Really enjoyed Cooper and although not as action packed as other books, it still had some angst.
Loved Sebastian York as he breathed life into Cooper and Janine creating Kira's sassy personality.

There is something about a romantic suspense book that I can’t turn away. This series hits me every and then some. Kira and Cooper are working through their relationship. Cooper left his old job at the LAPD because a case when bad. When he did that, Zane made him an offer he couldn’t’ refuse. And the chance to work with his brother was a chance that he couldn’t pass up. Kira has worked in the gray for a while because she was recruited after her brother was killed. (You learn about her and his story originally in Kevin, but you DO NOT need to read that book to enjoy this story.) Kira and Cooper start seeing each other, and both have strong feelings. Cooper sees Kira as this young woman who needs to explore herself and things that they have and end, but he is all in until that happens. Kira is all in and is ready for everything with Cooper. That is until something happens, and she panics.
Kira is a little bit broken because of her past, and you completely get it. She is a little bit broken, and still reeling. But she has found the best people to help her through this. Cooper and Kira there aren’t words for the way in which their relationship moves.

Truly one of my favorite parts of this book is the relationship between Kira and Zane. Zane Lewis is such a HUGE part of this series and rightfully so, and you always get the moments of wisdom and wit from him. But there are moments in this book that bring out a side of Zane you don’t always see but always want. And let me say, Riley Edwards sets up the next team series, as well as the next Blue Team book with enough information to make you want to throw your kindle. Mainly because we have to wait to get more!!!

“She was ready to live her life again. She was ready to drink it in and drown in as many experiences as she could. She’d use me until she was full, then she’d move on. And I was going to let her.”

Cooper is the fifth book in the Blue Team series by Riley Edwards. I was immediately taken with Kira’s feisty, adventurous, alluring character. Still grieving the loss of her family, Kira lives every day to the fullest but guards her heart from meaningful connections. Cooper Cain has settled in as the newest member of the Blue Team. He may have been caught off guard by the outrageous, fabulous, enthralling Kira, but he wouldn’t let her slip away. Kira helps him find light and clarity beyond the grief and blame that haunt him from a failed operation. After spending a decade protecting their six from behind her screen, Kira finds herself surrounded by her teammates, new coworkers, their loved ones, and friends she never expected. Cooper’s cautious grump and Kira’s effervescent feisty complement each other perfectly. She draws him out of his shell and he shows her it’s okay to open her heart and embrace their community. Zane Lewis is in top form in this book! I always love his snarky, gruff, smartassy behavior, but his relationship with Kira in this book is next level! I love the way the Z Corps family rallies and I can’t wait to see what’s next.

Sebastian York and Janine Granda have been incredible throughout the Blue Team series. Cooper is an emotionally charged, action-packed, military suspense. Riley’s dialogue between Cooper and Kira about love, loss, and grief was compassionate, thought-provoking, and beautiful. Sebastian and Janine’s portrayals of Cooper and Kira were compelling, relatable, and swoon-worthy! Janine’s performance of Kira was raw, powerful, and delightful. Sebastian was perfectly cast as the broody, domineering, lone wolf, Cooper. This fast-paced, hilarious, heartfelt romantic suspense is a fun and wild listen!

I love big interconnected series, suspenseful romance books and basically anything written by Riley Edwards so this book was definitely a win for me!

I love Kira! She is hilarious and can hold her own working with Z corps and all the Alpha male personalities there. She has endured a lot of trauma and loss which also gives her a vulnerability that breaks your heart. Kira tragically lost her parents as well as her brother and learned to do everything on her own. When she begins work at Z corp and also ends up being stalked she has to learn to trust others and work as a team. She will need them to not only protect her but to learn that it is ok to not always do everything alone.

Cooper is the definition of Alpha. He is strong and protective and refuses to give up on Kira when she gets scared. She is afraid of anyone who loves her dying but instead of allowing her to run he just holds on tighter. Serious swoon!!! He is so committed to helping Kira and I love how tender he is with her when she needs it. Cooper is definitely dream book boyfriend material.

This book has everything you want in a suspenseful romance book. It starts out intense from the first chapter and keeps you on your toes throughout the entire thing. I loved the suspense story in this but even more so I just loved the relationship of Kira and Cooper. Their connection and steamy scenes are so intense and Hot pretty much from the first chapter.

You can read this book as a stand-a-lone but I think it would be enjoyed best if you read the other books in the series first. I enjoyed revisiting characters or mentions of past missions from the previous books especially the hilarious banter between Zane and Kira.

Cooper is the fifth audiobook in Riley Edwards’ fantastic Blue Team series, which means we’re getting toward the end of this series now. That’s a horrible thing for me, but a great thing for the prophylactic fund Zane set up for his Blue team members. I think I’ve said with each successive audiobook in this series that they just get better and better. And as unbelievable as it is, that’s still true. We’ve only known the basic facts about Cooper’s history before now, but as we find out in this book, there’s so much more to him than meets the eye. His past has had a profound impact on him, much like his love interest, Kira. They both live lives that have been greatly informed by their pasts, which means they’ve been holding back their hearts… even if they weren’t aware they were doing it. Ultimately, they help each other come to grips with past events to live a fuller life together. It’s certainly not an easy road by any means—emotionally or physically—but their journey to love is nothing short of enthralling.

Not gonna lie, this one brought tears to my eyes, due in no small part to the impactful performances of Sebastian York and Janine Granda. These two powerhouses of the audio industry went ALL the way there in bringing the already powerful words of Riley Edwards to life. Sebastian York’s sultry baritone and passionate portrayal of Cooper flawlessly bring this strong yet vulnerable character to life. And Janine Granda’s ardent and affecting performance was absolutely perfect for the courageous and fiercely emotional character of Kira. A riveting story combined with enthralling narration makes this a title not to be missed by any romance audio lover.

Kira is one of the newest members of teams that we met in Kevin when everyone was looking for Theo. She is Lana's computer person. We see her snark and wit in how she always has comebacks like Zane sometimes even better. Cooper is one the last men on the Blue team to fall in love. Cooper is drawn to her. She's smart, funny and always smiling. They have developed a great friendship that has slowly grown into something more. Kira is afraid to love because everyone she has loved in the past has died. She is used to being on her own and not using those around here to bounce ideas or theories off of because for the last 10 years she has managed her group of mens intel for Lana all on her own. Zane and Garrett want her to learn to use her team to help think things through. This is a new concept for her.
Cooper sees this and is willing and ready to fight for what they have and could have. Plus show her it takes a team and how a team can help you work smarter not harder.
Along the way we see the great Zane open up more, I blame it on becoming a daddy… but to see him have a softie side that we know he hides is awesome. Of course there are the Zaneisms that we love so much with new nicknames for LIncs boys thrown in there too.
I don't know where Mrs Edwards comes up with some of them but they all rock and make you laugh out loud.
Cooper and Kira is a great read. You are drawn into the story as usual. Love this group and how we always get to touch base with some of the older team members.

As always with a Riley Edwards book I struggle to put into words how I feel. I mean I know I can gush about the greatness that is Riley [admit it...we all think she's an AMAZING author]. I can talk about the ins and outs of the book [it's sooo much more than just girl meets boy, they fall in love, and live happily ever after - although that does happen]. I can talk about the life lessons Riley intersperses in her books [and they're profound]. But all of that doesn't even come close to describing how Riley's books make me FEEL. But I'll come back to that because this is supposed to be a review of Cooper...

Cooper & Kira may be my favorite couple to date. And that's saying something. Neither of them is perfect [but that's a RE trait with all her characters], they both have baggage, but the dialogue and banter between the two of them is EPIC. As always, you get the trifecta of fab characters, an engaging storyline/plot, and everything that is a RE book [if you've read her other books, you know what I am saying here]. Cooper & Kira story is heart-wrenching, steamy, and humorous but it's more. Just that. MORE. A pleasure to read [and re-read]. This is a story you want to get. And devour.

To finish this slightly odd "review", I'll just say this: I LOVE all the books written by Riley Edwards. They are my escape. They are my refuge. They are my peace. Thank you Ms. Edwards and I look forward to any and all of your upcoming releases.

Cooper and Kira

Unlike the rest of this series, Kira and Cooper had an established friendship at the beginning of this book. While they felt that same instant attraction, they started out as friends. The suspense ran throughout the book and even though it was constant, it somehow felt less dire.

There was an emphasis on healing in this book. Kira had experienced two huge traumas in her life leaving her without a traditional family, then she spent ten years on a mission with a team she never saw. She had to learn to accept the family she’d been graced with and that loving them wouldn’t hurt her. Cooper had an uphill battle against her insecurities and he fought them valiantly. Even though in the beginning he was convinced Kira would leave him heartbroken, he refused to give up when she tried to push him away.

There was a lot going on in this book. There were new relationships forming with the members of Kira’s team and Zane and Kira had a very different relationship than he’s had with the women in the past books. Zane really took Kira in and I loved the banter between the two of them. Garret also had a lot going on and his interactions with Kira and Cooper were pretty volatile. He blamed himself for Kira’s brother’s death and their conversations about that were extreme.

This book brought in the new Silver team and I can’t wait for their books next year. And of course, we were left with a tease of Garret’s long awaited book.

This was an enjoyable read. I really liked the relationship between Cooper and Kira. There were some times throughout the book where I didn't appreciate Cooper's outbursts when went crazy protector man over Kira (who was a strong willed, intelligent woman, and could clearly make her own level-headed choices) and decided to tell her what to do rather than ask her what she wanted to do, and she called him on his shit thankfully. But, overall, this book had a lot of great suspense, romance, and passion between Cooper and Kira.

Cooper was a great alpha hero, who really loved Kira and wanted to prove to her his love for her, but also was afraid of getting his heart broken, as he thought Kira would want a fling with him and this thing between them wouldn't last. But he truly loved and cared for Kira and didn't want to let a good thing go. Kira was a goofy, fun loving, strong and intelligent woman. I loved her character. She wasn't use to someone being so kind, caring and loving towards her and I think that scared her after losing her parents and brother, not wanting to get attached to someone and lose them too, but she grew a lot in this book, and finally took the chance on Cooper which I loved to see. Together, they were HOT and had so much passion and worked great as a team. This was a great read!

Cooper is the fifth book in the Blue Team series by Riley Edwards. This was a new author for me, and I have been looking forward to reading one of her books. I didn’t have too much trouble reading it as a standalone. But after reading it, I am curious about the previous books and now want to read them.
Kira Winters spent years in solitude working by herself, but she has now joined the Blue Team. She loves her job but holds herself back to protect her heart after tragically losing all her family.
Cooper joined the Blue Team after a tragic hostage situation as a police officer. He still feels a lot of guilt, but Kira has brightened his life. Discovering she has a stalker brings back all the painful memories. He will stop at nothing to save her.
This was a great book, and I loved all the intrigue and action. My attention was grabbed right away, and I couldn’t put the book down. I loved meeting all the side characters and seeing the dynamics of the team. Their bond was truly strong, and they had formed their own family. I loved seeing Kira’s character grow and begin to understand her team was there for her and that they had made her one of their family members. I recommend this book and look forward to future books from the author.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was one of the better books in Zane's world in a while. I think the Gold Team series was the best of all of them. But the blue team has been better than the previous series, IMO.

One thing I really appreciated about this book was Kira realized it was responsible to stay in a safe house. She wasn't TSTL and didn't further endanger others by going out all of the time.

I felt like the mystery was reasonably good even if Kira was just a little slow figuring it out. I thought, at one point, the plot might go one way and it didn't, which was a pleasant surprise.

The steamy scenes were pretty hot. Some of her best in a while. They are not just vanilla. They were vanilla with toppings, as I like to say. It didn't venture into rich, decadent chocolate, which is too much for a lot of readers.

I'm looking forward to Silver Team. I think we'll see Kira taking on some of Zane's responsibilities, too. He's serious stressed in this book. He seems overwhelmed and like he is drowning. There are some great Zane lines, as usual. He and Kira start a special relationship he hasn't had with many of the wives since early on. I'm not sure he's ever connected as much to the other wives, aside from his own, as much as he does her. That was a good addition.

What a great addition to the Blue team series! First, I have read them all, Red, Gold and now all of the Blue team books. I really enjoy this series and even though each book stands alone they are so good that I recommend reading them all so if you haven't after you finish reading Cooper go back and check out the rest of his teammates stories. Now on to why I enjoyed Cooper Cain's story so much. We first met Kira Winters in Kevin's story. She is the "Kid Genius" computer wiz from that book. That team has now come under Zane Lewis' umbrella of operatives and Kira set her sights on Cooper from the moment that they met and try as he might he has been a goner. Cooper didn't feel that Kira would ever stay settled with him but he just couldn't stay away from her. Kira knows that Cooper has some issues but feels that they are perfect for each other so she was determined to make a relationship work. What neither of them counted on was someone trying to destroy them and who is this unknown someone? Riley Edwards did a great job of weaving a tale of two people that have unaddressed past baggage and an unknown stalker standing in the way of their future. Lots of twists, turns, drama and plenty of heat for this Blue team book! Told from dual POV and is the perfect way to escape the real world.

Cooper came to work for Blue Team after a hostage situation went bad. That night still haunts him, it’s something he doesn’t talk about and thinks he’ll never get over. Kira started working after her time with Patheon came to and end and her whole team went to work for Zane Lewis. She instantly knew that Cooper was the man for her. But when bullets fly, even though Cooper has started returning her feelings, she can’t get past the fear that everyone she loves dies. She tries to pull away from him but Cooper won’t allow it. When they discover the shooter was actually a stalker, Kira realizes that she has to go back into hiding no matter how much she doesn’t want to. Being secluded for 10 years with Patheon has made her want to be free and live life to the fullest. In the midst of the danger, she and Cooper have to get past their fears and try to find a way to just love each other. The stalker situation is a little too close to the past Cooper wants to forget. It’s a wild ride but absolutely one of the best stories in this series! So much emotion along with the suspense and danger, you will not want to put this one down!

"One is none."
Blue Team, Cooper. The only non-military member of Z corps and he's been seeing Kira, "Kid Genius", she's a firecracker, living life to the fullest as she has lost so, so much. Grief is a sensitive topic and everyone, everyone deals with it differently. There is no winning strategy and you have to take a leap of faith sometimes to move forward as you are only losing your future. I loved this description of past and future, it was quite poignant. These alpha males love hard and they have family, not only by blood, but no blood as well to back them up whenever they need it. You just have to ask, sometimes you don't have to ask. "Brace, baby." Zane is in fine form, and even goes above and beyond including Finn's discussion, gambling, sitting on the floor and picking favorites. His knowledge is being transferred, kittens, puppies and baseball. Always a fantastic, intense, and fabulous read. Each book gets better and better.

I voluntarily reviewed this book.

It actually felt like I started a book midway when I started reading this and that I had missed something. But that feeling quickly faded, and I got seriously invested in the story of Cooper and Kira. I had certain expectations on how this story would go but they were blown out of the water pretty much straight away. What a wonderful and unexpected story this was!
It was filled with action, suspense, and the hotness and alpha-males Riley Edwards is known for, but it was also unexpectedly emotional. This story went deep pretty fast, and dealing with loss and guilt is never easy. While I really enjoyed Cooper and Kiras love story, what really made this book for me was how much better we got to know Zane and his teams, both new and old. This book made me both shed a tear and laugh out loud, a perfect blend of everything that makes a book great and I could not put it down once I started reading it - I'm so excited to see what's next!

After months of flirting and getting to know each other, Cooper and Kira finally take the leap and give in to the attraction. Both have fallen, but both think the other is only wanting a fling and are scared their time together will end. Until an incident leaves them reeling and both confess that they have fallen and now they have to find a stalker who has focused on Kira and stop him.
Another great addition to the Blue Team series…or should I say Zane’s series or better…the dimple series as these two navigate their feelings, pasts, insecurities and other team members who have their own guilt to deal with. The story flowed beautifully with steam…ahem…steam…suspense, humour, dimples, emotions, grief, and of course AMAZING characters all around. Grab some tissues and strap on for a ride that I didn’t want to get off of…wanting more more more!!!

Kira and Cooper's story is by far one of my favorites of the Blue team series. Kira is strong and an alpha in her own right. She has carried a lot on her shoulders from the deaths of her parents to the death of her brother and the devastation for some would be uncontrollable. Kira was on a mission and leaned on those who were family.

Cooper was an alpha man who knew what he wanted but never pushed. He gave his family and friends everything he had and loved them hard. He loved Kira before he even knew he loved her. The chemistry between them is sizzling but they also play around. Cooper knew some of what he was getting into when he finally had Kira where he wanted her. He knew the battle would be hard but was he ready?

Kira has been targeted for not being the person she once was. He needed her to be smarter and worthy but she failed. He wanted her world to crumble like she finally made his.

Can Cooper keep her safe from him? Can Cooper keep Kira safe from herself?
