Rachel and Drake’s story is a sweet and rather tangled romance. It also is a story of redemption and healing. Rachel and Drake are working together to save his business, but both want their relationship to be much more personal. When Rachel gets caught up in the crazy get rich scheme after being threatened by a thug, she is forced to lie to Drake and her friends in order to get the information her tormentor wants. She tries desperately to protect her friends and the man she already knows she wants in her future. Her lie weighs heavily on her conscience and she becomes determined to foil the thug’s plans, even if she has to shoot him herself.

Meanwhile, Drake is dealing with a family secret and the long-held hostilities of his brothers. He left town years ago to escape all the discord and the undeserved blemish on his reputation. Now that he is back, he is ready for the secret to come out and the discord to end. This becomes more important as he realizes he wants to be in Rachel’s life as more than a friend. Will they get a chance to resolve the conflicts, reveal their secrets and find redemption? Will they get a chance to move beyond friendship?

I loved the small town setting, the group of friends that support each other, and the deep connection between Drake and Rachel. Both are willing to do anything to support and protect the other, which bodes well for a future together. I enjoyed reading this book. This is book twelve in A Town Without Pity Series and it is Rachel and Drake’s story and it is definitely a must read. When Rachel is threatened she will need to some how deal with the problem without anyone finding out and also keep everyone who is important to her alive but now things are getting even more complicated as she will have to lie to her best friend Kiley and then she realised that she had fallen in love with Drake the more time that they have spent together and will need to resolve the situation and take out the person that is threatening everything in her life regardless of what happens to her. Drake has fallen in love with Rachel and wants a future with her but he feels like she is hiding something and is in trouble but unless she trusts him and lets him help all he can do is be there for her even though he feels like she has got herself in a dangerous situation with no way out. When all the secrets are revealed will it give Rachel and Drake the happy ending that they both deserve, well you will have to read this book to find out but remember that each book in this series ends with a cliff hanger. I definitely recommend you read this book and series and you will not be disappointed.

This is the 12th book in this series, and this is Rachel and Drake’s story. Drake has been running from a lie since childhood, and now with a failed business behind him, and heartbroken, he returns to his hometown, where he meets Rachel, who is a business consultant. This is a well written action packed story, with deception, lies, twists, secrets, family, friendships, drama, trust, romance, and love, which leads to an entertaining small town romance,

Rachel is being forced to lie to protect her friends and the man she is beginning to care about. Drake has been running from a lie since childhood. When it all comes to light will they be able to weather the storm together and still keep their friends or will it all come tumbling down and separate them from everyone including themselves? A good read and excellent addition to this series. I received this ARC and voluntarily give my review.

The series continues with this great addition. The story will keep you engaged from page one and you find it hard to put it down. The characters are fantastic and you love watching them get to know each other and build a relationship and future together.
