When you look at guide books you expect to see photos of each location but this book doesn't have any. Because, of this I don't actually see it as a useful guide if picking places to visit.
Then you have the title telling you these are 100 offbeat locations for the adventurer to explore. That's not true though because these places are well known and popular and can be found in any guide. Those other guides are not just better but usually have updated and accurate information for each location. In this book there is some outdated information and some information that isn't correct. Which means that when you go looking for photos of these places you should also check to see which information is correct.
These problems makes a book that had potential to be a massive flop.
