You know how you go about your day minding your own business and all of a sudden you find yourself regretting something that seemed like a good idea at the time? And by suddenly, I mean a split second decision and not when life throws you a curveball. I’m talking about when you throw yourself a curveball as you jump over a hurdle that’s on fire. With the kind of heat that comes from a 6 foot tall Greek god that has a jawline that could cut you. With eyes so blue that you wouldn’t mind getting lost in that sea. Now I’m rambling and I blame my discombobulated brain for this. As I was saying, you know that strong craving you get when your monthly visitor is around? Not that “oh that looks good” kind of craving. I’m talking about the “itch you can’t scratch, need it NOW or I’ll starve” kind of craving. But you don’t eat it because it’s 2 am and where are you going to find a bakery open that late anyway? So then you put off getting it until you feel like you want to claw someone’s eyes out. That’s the curveball I threw at myself with the Greek god I mentioned so protect your eyes. Also, please. Send help.
Scarlett Chase is a book dragon who takes breaks from reading to write new stories and eat all the food she can get her hands on. She writes Erotic Romance and Fanfiction that vary in degrees of spice and naughtiness. Don’t let the number of titles under her belt fool you, she is ready to unleash more books to the world and invite readers to read new stories and characters. You know, just as soon as they let themselves be written.
When she isn’t busy devouring her next book or typing in a frenzy, she loves to watch tv shows and movies, explore the world around her one restaurant or new experience at a time, and dance whenever the mood strikes. She also takes a book and notebook with her everywhere she goes because you never know when the inspiration will hit.
Adorable Erotica—two words I never thought I could put together!
Most erotica’s are smutty, dirty, and a little dark, but not this one! This was a funny, slow-burn, sexy book that draws you in from the fun interactions between the characters. Honestly, the banter made me huff-laugh through my nose. You know, the one where you look like a lunatic to anyone who’s in the room with you.
The triumphs, the sexual tension, and the vulnerabilities are realistic and endears you to Leo and Sofia. 5⭐️
This refreshing love story is so unlike anything I’ve read in a long time. I feel like it was a honest look at starting a relationship from the ground up. The banter is adorable and hot all at once. Watching these characters slowly fall for each other was sweet. And Sofia’s inner monologue is so spot on and hilarious.
An adorable meet-cute, slow burn romance with perfect amount spice and banter. This was a refreshing look at the beginnings of a relationship between two people who have been burnt by previous relationships. The chemistry between the main characters Sofia and Leo is undeniable throughout the story. The internal monologue of Sophia is realistic and hilarious. It's written in third person, but it doesn't take anything away from the narrative of the story.

I found this book to be entertaining and a lighter side to reading. There’s definitely some spice. Some awkward moments. Some sweet moments. Some downright hilarious moments. This fits the bill for a romcom.
I received this book as a free giveaway from the author and went into it 100% blind! I had no idea what to expect. But I found myself giggling along with the characters as they stumbled through this book second guessing and airing out their inner monologue on the pages.
I’m definitely following the author to watch her books grow and progress! Looking forward to the next one 😆

I loved the characters and the inner monologue that we were able to hear, but I didn't think that this type of feel really fit well with the 3rd person POV. My favorite part and I will assume it is also the author's because it was the most well-written section of the book is the bet between the two MCs. I won't go into detail here so as to not spoil it but from this point in the book forward it is definitely a great book. There were times when I just looked at the page I was reading and said to myself "is this necessary for the plot/character development/ambiance?" And a significant portion of the time it was not. I cannot tell you how many times a character "goes to the bathroom" but none of those times were necessary to read. There were other instances where we are given details about the space we entered and I know that we all want to know what the feel of the space is but I feel that more left to the imagination would have been preferred here. In reading before I've never felt reading "right" and "left", but in this book, it is used ad nauseam. I don't know if it is truly necessary to tell the reader if it was his right or left hand, because they will see it in their minds without specifications. Contrasting all of these extraneous details with other times when we were not given enough details, makes the writing feel choppy and inconsistent. Another big part of the story that just made me cringe was every time they ate, there were always details about how much Sofia was eating, and how she and her friend Myra ate more than the guys, but miraculously they were still a size 6 (specifically). It felt like we were living in an alternate universe where nothing goes wrong, no one gets upset, no one gets fat, and no one has any conflict. There was one minor conflict in this book when she runs off because she gets scared of the fact that she really likes the guy, but not really such a big deal in the grand scheme of things. Now for some things I did like. I like the banter between the MCs, and how well they get along. I like the boundaries that Sofia lays down and I love how Leo sticks to those boundaries. He is a total gentleman and we don't have enough of those in the world anymore. This is definitely a sweet story, I would have liked more erotic scenes, but that is just my personal preference. I also loved the friendship representation between Sofia and Myra, this is one of the things in the book that I totally resonated with. Having something happen in your life and calling your girlfriend, then trying to seduce a man and getting advice from your girlfriend, is a very realistic part of this book. All in all, I did like this book. And I totally tell the author great job because this is her first book and I am so proud that she took a huge leap and published her work!
From board games to bets to breaking I just had to keep reading and I was not disappointed.
Leo was clearly built by the gods as a gift for woman kind. Not only is he hot but he's completely adorable to boot. Without giving anything away I'd like to say that him reading is just glorious.
A sweet spicy read that will definitely warm your night.
The amount of time that it took for me to write, edit, and promote this first book is insane. If you would've told me that writing is the easiest part when I first started, I would have laughed so hard before crying in fear. There were times in the editing process that sheer stubborn will kept me going. I am so glad I stuck with it and got this book published. The hardest step is over, I have begun my author journey and it's going to be a long one so I hope you're ready for more stories.

Special thanks to my alpha reader and best friend. I wouldn't be able to do any of this without your awesomeness, support, love, and insight. Thank you for listening to the random scenes and ideas, for telling me to go write, and for the emotional and mental support. You are the real MVP woman.

This is definitely a slow burn romance. My favorite part of the book is the bet between Leo & Sophia. I won't go into details because I don't want to ruin anything.
I loved the relationship between Myra and Sophia being best friends. They were more than best friends, they were sisters. The way they called each other for any advice and just to talk and encourage each other was awesome.
I did not like how much the rooms where described with all the different pieces of furniture everywhere. I assume it was to help you "feel" the space but I felt it was totally unnecessary.
I'm sure I will be the odd one out for this as well but I though Leo was trying too hard to be a gentleman. I get the chivalry and opening doors but it just seemed too far fetched that he was so good looking, had perfect "equipment", gave Sophia the perfect dates, and ways said and did the right thing. It just felt too forced for him to be perfect.
I did enjoy the spicy parts of the story and thought the banter between Leo and Sophia was cute.
There was ALOT of emphasis on how much Sophia ate as well as Myra. While I like the idea that the characters were not ashamed to eat and out eat the guys I think it was talked about too much.
Overall, it was a quick read and a slow burn HEA. I would read another book about the characters or from the author.

I loved this story. It was so believable and realistic. I’m this is a funny but sexy slow burn that leaves you flipping the pages so fast to see what’s going to happen next. The banter between Sophia and Leo was absolutely amazing and written so well it will leave you laughing so much.
Sophia was not looking for love after getting her heart broken until she meets Leo the gorgeous Greek god lookalike that leaves your mouth watering!!!! But he is such a gentleman and sticks to the boundaries that Sophia has set.
I love the friendship between Sophia and Myra. Something that was so realistic and happens in everyday life. That friendship is amazing!!
I loves the board games and bets that just leave you laughing once again. There’s not a lot of erotic scenes but it does get spicy!!! At times it did seem to get overly detailed about certain things but you overlook that to read this amazing story!
Oh my GOODNESS!!!!!!! This book is absolutely amazing! So well written! Sofia finally finds love again after getting her heart broken, there is a sex bet that will not only make you laugh but its intriguing! Sofia LOVES books and so does her lovely boyfriend!
Hoping their is a next book to this one!!!!

An insta attraction that surprises both of them after a chance meeting in a bookstore. There is a lot of anticipation and build up to this story but the end felt a little too quick for me. I'm hoping Myra gets her book next.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A slow burn that pays off with some seriously sexy scenes. Sofia's inner monologue gives me life and made me laugh so many times. And who doesn't love a hot man who writes books for a living? I mean come on. (It's not a spoiler because you learn about it almost immediately.)
This book is a tale of overcoming a heartbreak. Love the story between the two MC and also the friendship of the two girls in this story. Would love to see her bestie's story next.
This was my first time reading Scarlett Chase and I'm so glad that I opened it up and started reading. I don't need to describe much of this for you to know what you're getting into when you read. It's simple. It's an honest to god, no extra drama required, romance. These two characters have a cute first time meet, and then he does his best to charm the pants off of her.
When you think classic romance moves, you think: candlelight dinners, dancing, horse-drawn carriages, flowers.... this is here... add in a castle along with some steamy times, hilarious internal dialogue, great friends, and it's the perfect recipe for a yummy feel good romance. Low angst, low drama, hilarious banter, and lots of kisses and romantic gestures.
I loved Sophia's best friend and enjoyed that she got a little romance of her own. Wouldn't mind seeing a side story with the her and our hero's brother!! And these men in here... the relationship these two brothers have was so heartwarming. I loved it!!
