I loved this book, and not only the spice and the characters, but the way the author brought everything and everyone to life. It flowed nicely, and everything constantly matched perfectly! Could not put it down!
Needless to say this was a book that was impossible not to devour. I loved how it starts and you get a good feel for the characters, and then the story takes off from there. Forbidden love especially in the work place and guy who gets everything he wants. But what if something he wants, and he got a taste of it, but realized this is something he wants more than anything? The book had great spice, and not just a one time thing, was literally all the way through. Thank you to the author for that! The character development was spot on, and realistic. I was deep into this novel and its characters. Seriously Devlin and Eve were making my kindle melt, and they weren't even ripping their clothes off, just talking being near, you could not deny their chemistry! Again, amazing writing by a talented author and I could not put this one down! Loved it!
I highly recommend this book and author! That goes without saying! A great ride of a roller coaster all the way through. The book and author is a must read! Definitely a great read to fill those sleepless nights!

If you’re looking for a new office romance to read, this book is it! Devlin is a story that will keep you engaged and flipping the pages to read.
Eve is Devlin’s coworker and is trying to make her mark at the office. She works hard and tries hard not to let Devlin make her work life unbearable. Their banter and wit are engaging throughout the story.
Devlin takes a chance on Eve and finally has what he wants: her. There is only one big problem, and as it’s revealed, the pieces of the story fit together like a well-orchestrated puzzle.
Devlin and Eve are on fire together, and this office romance will burn up your kindle.
The character development was great. You could see all the different personalities you’d find in an office and relate to this story. The plot flowed beautifully. As always, Angela makes me want everyone to have a story. I think that shows her gift of writing to fully pull you into a book, so much so that you want to know all about all of the characters.

Devlin is a frenemies-to-lovers new adult romance tale. This is not your typical office romance. Angela has written a delightful tale where there is lots of tension, angst, distaste, secrets and lies, omissions, and jobs on the line.
This is the corporate world where the next promotion is the main goal. However, playing with fire is oh so sweet. What happens when what is between the sheets is so much more? Is it worth breaking the rules? Is it worth the risk?
The chemistry between our MC’s is smoking hot when it gets going. I loved the wit and banter and found it easy to like them. There were times when I wanted to shake them but as they say the road to happiness is not paved in gold.

This was a good book to spend an afternoon with. I enjoyed reading this and getting to know Devlin and Evelyn.
They had a spark you could feel and just want to root for them.
Had a couple surprises thrown in I wasn't expecting but this was a really good read.

Devlin: A Forbidden Office Romance was a great enemy to lovers read. Eve and Devlin are coworkers at a toy company. Eve is an independent, hard-working woman who will not let herself be wooed by Devlin’s charm. Devlin has always been attracted to Eve but understood not to mess business with pleasure. That was until he heard she broke up with her long-term boyfriend and saw his chance. Eve is not having that since Devlin is known as the bachelor with no hopes for anything but a physical relationship. What the two of them don’t realize is that the sexual chemistry just couldn’t be denied. Devlin starts to realize he can no longer deny his feelings and can’t believe that Eve made her way into his heart. There is a problem however, Devlin has kept a pretty big secret that could destroy everything, along with the fact that he is going to also be her boss. Can they keep their relationship a “dirty little secret” to save their jobs and their hearts?
I always enjoy a good enemy-to-lovers story. Both characters were very enjoyable and engaged in a no-bullshit type of way. The banter and progression of their story were romantic, realistic, and sexy. I thought Eve portrayed a character that was relatable and confident. She didn’t let Devlin in without him knowing what she wanted and didn’t. Devlin also had a way of “handling” her, he was portrayed as a confident, but not narcissistic man which came across the page as very sexy. The ending left me feeling meh. I love that it progressed to where it did, however, I feel we went from one feeling to something way beyond that. I liked that there was an epilogue but I almost wished I found out a little more about where they go.

This romance is so good! It is a forbidden office romance but it definitely does not have the normal feel of an office romance book.
Devlin is a businessman and a darn good one at that. He is known for his womanizing. He is also known for his banter with his coworker Evelyn. He has his eyes on a big promotion but that promotion has strings attached. He is not allowed to fraternize with other employees. This new rule comes at the worst possible time.
Evelyn works with Devlin and loves to hate him. The banter between them is so fun to read. In a moment of weakness she gave in to her needs and spent the night with Devlin. This is a night that she can’t get out of her head. She can’t explain the jealousy that is creeping into her when he is with other women. Luckily she just received the chance to plan the winter party for the company. This is do or die for her career and she can’t let Devlin get in her way.
Their resolve to stay coworkers and leave things to just one night is challenged when they are sent out of town together and they have adjoining rooms. Are they both willing to admit that they have more feelings than they first thought? Or will they stick to the rules that have been given to them.
I LOVED this story. I had a very hard time putting it down. I really truly loved their relationship and I hope that there is more to come from these characters!

I enjoyed the premise of this book as well as the characters. I thought the spice level was *chef's kiss* and sprinkled generously throughout the book. However, the writing left much to be desired. I felt rushed and then there were extreme jumps in time and the characters were wishy-washy (more so than they needed to be). It's really hard to explain and put into words how I felt about this book. Like I said, I really liked the premise and the plot line and the characters, I just don't think it was fully flushed out. I will say that the twist at the end was a complete shocker and I thoroughly enjoyed it! There are actually 2 twists...I liked the main twist...the other twist felt forced and I didn't think it actually needed to be there. That happened too throughout the book...things happened that really didn't need to be included.
Now let's get into the story. This is a very quick read, which I always appreciate. I (mostly) loved the characters of Devlin and Eve. I feel like Parker could have maybe flushed Devlin's character out a little more. We get to see a lot of Eve's "why" and in time we do get to see Devlin's but I think his could have been flushed out more. I did really enjoy the interactions between Devlin and Eve; especially when Devlin would get Eve all flustered. Their spicy interactions were off the charts hot and well done!

I loved Devlin! Such a sweet workplace romance. Of course never without its ups and downs and tension. But isn’t that what keeps the reader intrigued. I loved what the author did. I just wish it was more. I finished this book in one sitting and was sad when it was done. I did like the small twist. I didn’t see it coming, but I wasn’t surprised either.

I don’t even know where to start except to say WOW!!! This book took me completely by surprise. I was not expecting all the twists. In so many ways this book had it all, secret love children, unexpected pregnancy, miscommunication, mistaken identity, hidden lovers, and so much more. If you need another reason to read, just know the steam level is high.
Devlin loves to tease his work partner, Eve. They throw barbs back and forth on a regular basis. Devlin has managed to keep his hands to himself for six years, for many reasons but the biggest being Eve was in a relationship. Now that is over. Eve is single. Devlin tells himself he can help her get over him, just this once. If they both know what it is going in, they can still maintain their work relationship. What Devlin doesn’t expect is falling deeper for Eve. Now he can’t imagine being with anyone with her.
There are so many hiccups, roadblocks, and power outages in their way! Will Devlin and Eve find away? Or will Devlin earn his nickname of Devil?
Find time in your week for this book. It is worth it!!

This is a really hot and steamy enemies to lover romance set in an office setting. The author does an amazing job with the characters. From the beginning you feel the chemistry between Evelyn and Devlin. Both of them are very career driven but they also can't deny their attraction.
Evelyn sees Devlin as a playboy. All he does is sleeps with different women and has no plans to settle down so when she gives into temptation after splitting with her boyfriend she knows its a one night thing. It has to be. She can't stand him and she won't allow him to ruin her career.
Devlin on the other hand gets a kick out of pushing Evelyn's buttons and he knows exactly which ones to press. Devlin is deeper than Evelyn thinks and deep down his feelings for her are strong than he would care to admit. Are they strong enough for him to give up his ways and possibly risk moving up in his career? Can he ever convince Evelyn that he is serious and not just after the next notch on his bedpost? And what happens when both their career progressions are at risk if they follow their hearts? Is love worth risking everything for?

Devlin is a really great forbidden office romance. I had never read any of this author’s work so was very unsure what to expect. What I got was a well written story with characters that I really connected with.
Devlin and Evelyn are co-workers who work very well together but away from the office desk, the hatred and the barbs constantly fly between the pair. So why is it Devlin that Evelyn turns to when her long term relationship breaks down? And why is he being so nice to her? (well, most of the time). Not that it matters as their work has a no fraternisation policy.
I really enjoyed reading Devlin and Evelyn’s story. We get to see a totally different side to Devlin that the one painted by Evelyn at the beginning. Although, I’m sure she had never previously seen the real Devlin up until now,

What happens when one alcohol and lust-filled night changes the dynamic between the dynamic work duo? Can one night indeed be enough when you see someone every day? This isn't the first book I've read by the author. Devlin is a great read. Office romances have always held a place in my heart, but this book makes the top of my list.

Now that he's had her in his bed he wants nothing but to make her his. The quote I chose for Devlin is: “But you could borrow them for thirty minutes to an hour. I’m sure Sawyer wouldn’t mind. I do enjoy the feel of satin caressing my skin.”
Evelyn just got out of a relationship and doesn't want another one. Or does she? She hates that she wants him. That one night isn't going to be enough for her. Will they make it? This is the first book that I have read from this author and I fell in love with immediately. This is a stand-alone book also. This is an amazing book and I highly recommend this book for anyone who loves , frenemies-to-lovers office romance.

This book is a standalone story involving the characters of Devlin and Eve, the chemistry between these two-character jumps off the page at you and feeling of forbidden love is always on the cusp of their banter. I thoroughly enjoyed Angela K Parker’s new release, Devlin: A Forbidden Office Romance. This story contains some recognizable tropes, such as enemies to lovers, Business rivals and forbidden relationship. Devlin Hughes and Evelyn Parrish have been working closely together for five years. Their relationship is tense, mainly due to untapped chemistry, but still respectful. Evelyn has been involved in a long-term relationship that was recently splintered while Delvin is considered a ladies’ man. After a one-night stand, Delvin and Evelyn develop real feelings for each other. To comply with office policies, the couple works hard to stay under the radar. Ms. Parker does not give us a typical office romance story; she ups the ante by including several twists that I did not see coming! Delvin and Evelyn make an engaging couple and their story is entertaining.

This book had me on the edge the entire time, it was a bit of a slow build up. But that doesn’t mean it wasn’t amazing! We follow Devlin and Evelyn who are coworkers, Devlin is a massive flirt and womanizer and Eve refuses to see him as anything more than her annoyingly flirtatious partner at their job. But Eve can’t help but appreciate his looks even though his personality annoys the ever-living crap out of her, but when the tension between them becomes too much and Eve’s newly single status has her in a slump. Devlin comes to the rescue by being annoyingly handsome and surprisingly caring and attentive, after one taste neither of them can get the other out of their minds and they want nothing more than to be with each other. But when their wants become a risk to their job, are they willing to take the risk? Or would they rather revert back to their safety bubbles of quietly pining for one another? Can they survive the surprises and twists coming their way?

Assumptions and omissions...
Practically the entirety of Devlin and Eve's "relationship" was about assumptions and omissions surrounding communications to each other. Even when they were supposedly being honest and straightforward, there were still omissions of honesty and motivations here and there. They frustrated me with it all. I just wanted to shake them both and make them really TALK to each other!
However, Devlin's family issues really shaped him and how he viewed life and love; all the while Eve's utter disdain for him - at first - turned him on. Add to the mix a very cheeky sister for Devlin and other outside pressure, and it just piled on.
It took a minute, an unexpected reveal, with some REAL honest talk, and we arrive at an ending our couple worked for.

Honestly, this is exactly the kind of novel my subconscious needed to get me through my slump. Not only does Devlin and Evelyn have the kind of attraction that really sizzles off the page, but it encourages you to root for them during the duration of the novel. There, of course, are the ups and downs that come with a 'forbidden office romance,' but knowing we had a guaranteed happily ever after had me hunkering down and absorbing everything this author had to offer within these pages today. Yes. One day. Read. That is all that you need to know.
I would highly suggest reading this if you're looking for something far better than wasting your day binge watching a show, even though I happily admit that I am guilty of this habit as well. Reading their story was probably one of the better choices I have made this month. Truly. You won't regret picking this up. Do it! Highly recommend.

This is the first book I have read from this author and she has a new fan. I love a good slow burn story but this one exceeded all my expectations. I was hooked on this story right from the beginning. You can’t help but to fall for these characters. I could not stop reading this book until it was the end. I can’t wait to see what this author writes about next.

Devlin is the lovem and leave em type. He is one of the brand managers at a Toy company. Evelyn is his co brand manager and just out of a five year relationship. Devlin decides that now is the time to make his move on Eve. Just a one night fling to get her out of his mind and back to work and life as usual. When Eve first met Devlin she had ideas about the two of them. Then he opened his mouth and out came the womanizer that he was. All thoughts of them flew out her head and he aggravated her tremendously. They made a good work team but that was it! Some people are open books others are hard nuts to Crack. This is like a cat and mouse game, but, which is cat and which is mouse. Lots of twists and turns, misconceptions and surprises.

This book had me intrigued immediately just from the synopsis. When it comes to romance books, I can be quite picky to be honest but was thoroughly pleased with it. The characters had a strong chemistry that you could feel radiate through the book as you dive right in. This is a new author to me and she done an excellent job of building the storyline while creating characters you can literally picture in your head. The story was easy to read and didn’t create any moments of where one might find themself losing interest. It grabs you and takes you for an unbelievable ride! I enjoyed it as soon as I start! I do believe I have found a new author to love.

Devlin is Eve’s partner at work. They work on toy ideas together and they make a great team. Their witty quips and flirtatious comments have always just been how they function together, but now that they are both available at the same time, Devlin makes his move. Eve sees Devlin for what he is, a flirt and a ladies man. She’s not looking to start another relationship after hers just ended. However, Devlin has different ideas for Eve, plans to say the least. Can he change for her? And how can he convince her that he can? Loved this book! Amazing! So fun to read! This book is hot, witty, and extremely entertaining! You will be smiling and fawning over Devlin and Eve the entire time! This book is worth it. I can’t wait to re-read it again!

From the very beginning I was a little apprehensive about this book. Due to having read so many other quote, unquote “Forbidden” type office romances.
But I was genuinely intrigued to find out more with each passing page.
The chemistry between Evelyn and Devlin was truly believable and tangible. Let’s not forget the twist or should I say twists.
Bottom line, this book was totally worth the time it took to read it. And seeing that this is the first time I’ve ever read anything from this author, I am SO looking forward to seeing more.

Devlin is aiming for a promotion and he’s only got one to follow. No fraternizing. Seems easy enough- at first. Evelyn wants to move up so she’s going to take the steps she needs to, starting with this party. Going through a breakup makes things a bit challenging but she’s determined. She doesn’t count on Devlin and the last thing she needs is for them to get caught. Their connection is real but is it worth the risk?
I really enjoyed this book. The chemistry between Devlin and Evelyn was so believable and extended beyond the wanting want you can’t have. Definitely recommend giving it a read!

This is a very enjoyable story. Office Romances are one of my fav tropes and this one surprised me. While I thought this was a cookie cutter office romance story it really isn’t. It has secrets and the characters have to work to find trust in each other. I really liked the characters. They are relatable and fun. I really liked watching Devlin. He liked Evelyn but thought it was a one time thing then strangely he started becoming addicted to her. He became invested in her even though she was extremely leery of a relationship with him.
Overall I read this quickly and had a nice time learning about the characters and their tics. It is a good office romance story. This is a first time author for me. She surprised me by not writing a run of the mill office romance.

What happens when the coworker you’ve secretly been pining over for years, is suddenly giving you attention after your recent breakup? This is exactly what happens to Eve. She is focused on her career and knows that she shouldn’t get involved with Devlin. Devlin is the office eye candy and he knows it. But the women in the office just don’t cut it for him, there’s only one and it’s Eve. Now that she finally got rid of her boyfriend, he can finally make his move. After spending a night together, Eve just wants things to go back to normal. Devlin on the other hand, cannot keep her off his mind. Will the be able to continue working together as if nothing happened or will their office romance turn into something even heavier?

I enjoyed reading this forbidden romance story. This is a newer author for me which I enjoyed her writing style and her attention to details that made the story realistic. This is a well written story that has characters that pulled me into the story from the start. They are connectable, strong and keep the story engaging. A past faced romance story that is hard to put down. I enjoyed the chemistry and the growth of the characters. What will happen when a one night stand becomes more than either one ever thought? This is an easy and entertaining story to read and fill my afternoon with steam. I highly recommend this book.
