Enemies To Love Triangles, Book 4 in Cocker Brothers, Jason Cocker:
Jason's family title of "The Good Twin" is put to the test as he produces the music album for possibly the most talented singer our future has yet to hear. He's also dating her. But the snarky bada$$ be-aatch who's managing his current flame, has a knack for making Jason's life miserable. She's stubborn, rude and insults him every chance she gets. Trouble is, what if he likes it?
An author, actress, and filmmaker, Faleena Hopkins writes primarily love stories with heat and humor. Sometimes with supernatural tendencies since fantasy and magic are a passion.
She lives in Los Angeles, CA, with her dog, Sophia, where she spends too much time behind a computer (but secretly loves every second).

Cocky Romantic (Cocker Brothers of Atlanta #4) By Faleena Hopkins
This series is amazing & funny! I love love how there are 6 brothers, all from different lines of work. And all pretty much have their own unique attitude with that hot ass hell alpha male touch Jason is the music producer. Simone she the artist that Jason has been working with for the last 4 months- And the Cocky Romantic thinks he in love with her… Until day one he realized he had eyes for wrong women… I think it’s funny as heck how his twin (Jason} seem to help guide him into the right direction I am not fan of people jumping from one relationship to other, but Faleena Hopkins made it work in this book.. Also my big fear was when I found out this was Jason book ,- is that Jason was going hook up with Bernadette … imagine my relief when it wasn’t Bernadette I can’t wait to read Justin next, I can only imagine that’s going to turn out funny as heck to see the Mighty Justin fall in love I recommend this book & this series
**ARC** ** I voluntarily did this review}. Without reservations, in exchange for an honest review.**
Stupid, superficial, and exceedingly redundant. Every silly man-whore/virgin trope is enlisted and the grammar needs serious work.
Most aggravating, Sarah is supposed to be thick and it is never ever mentioned when Jason is with her, or looking at her, or touching her. It seems like complete erasure, which connotes discomfort with a curvy body type.
And enough with the family BBQs. She's dragged this idea into the ground.
Painful. Cheating meanwhile who loves to call the weak heroine a cunt
Loved book 1. This one was horrid. At 50% hero is licking tongues and pinching nipples of the heroine's BFF. I hated both characters. He was an ass who only saw outer beauty and never put forth any effort to win the girl. The heroine watched her BFFs boyfriend for months but still jumped in bed with him. Zero self respect was hard to relate to.
At 60% of the book the H has spent the entire book, either chasing after and F'ing the h's best friend and his soon to be ex or fighting w/both said ex or the h... Jason has spent most the beginning of the book either calling Sarah a c word or a bitch, none of there verbal sparing was fun, funny or entertaining,Sarah comes off as a spineless doormat and Jason a clueless jerk.... Except for a quick accidental kiss and a similar accidental hand holding there has been NOTHING physical between them, except wanting to be treated like crap, there's nothing to explain Sarah's feelings for Jason .....aaaaaaaa, this is awful ,Sarah is such a spineless dud I can't keep reading,at 60% other than needing a spine donor I can't see why Sarah doesn't just walk away from them both... Soo not worth my time.. Abuse, verbal or otherwise is not sexy, neither are doormats of either gender... Grateful it was KU ;(
update: wanted to give the writer another try w/another book, but after reading w/she's doing w/the word "cocky", I'm too disgusted to even want to spare her a thought....
This book was riddled with shallow, superficial characters that lacked any depth. I hated the fact that there was basically cheating that lead to this romance. The characters were one-dimensional and you didn't really get to know any of them all that well.
This romantic tale is about letting go of insecurities, standing up for yourself when it counts most, believing in yourself, and finding the forever lasting love that soothes your soul. Witty-dialogue, action, true friendship, family love, helping a friend, emotional moments, jealousy, drama, powerful vivid scene descriptions, and sensuous romance capture and hold your interest until the end. There is a happy ending, but there a few hurdles that have to be dealt with until it is reached.
Jason comes highly recommended as a record producer and is now producing the album for on the rise recording star Simone Ross-Taylor who he is seeing romantically. With Jason’s good looks and charismatic demeanor he can have any woman he wants. Simone breaks hearts in every city she has been in and her assistant Sarah usually has to console the guys after the breakup. Besides being Simone’s assistant she is also her best friend but sometimes feels like a shadow in the distance. Jason and Sarah have been at each other’s throat since their initial meeting, the tension between them grows daily. Jason’s twin Justin is always ribbing him about his relationships never liking the women he romances as he believes his choices are not good enough for him. Justin hopes that Jason realizes what is in his reach before he loses it forever.
The story is fast paced, wonderfully written and the author immediately grabs you with praiseworthy characters, delightful humor and flirtatious scenes. The fusion of reality and fantasy make this story more intriguing. I adored Sarah’s sass and her sensitive persona. Jason definitely has a romantic side to go along with his protective instincts. The tension between Jason and Sarah gave substance to the growing romance; they truly fit well together given the fact that Jason can be a bit arrogant. Their romance is filled with devotion and sizzling passion. So loved the ending of this story. I found this to be extremely entertaining and I loved it. If you enjoy fantasy romance, this is a terrific book for your library. In the world of fantasy romance, the magic begins with the first thought to paper. {I received an advanced copy of this book; I voluntarily did this review}. Without reservations, I recommend this book.
Sigh, if only I was a few decades younger I'd want me a Cocker brother before they were all taken. I was given a copy of this book by the author for an honest review. That said Faleena has a really talent for using her knowledge of human nature, personality types, insecurities, background forces to bring the characters alive on her pages. She mixes emotional drama, verbal battles, love and humor in a story that is entertaining and heart warming. I truly enjoyed this book and well all her books, I'm a fan. It's like Christmas when she releases a new one. I drop everything to read her latest knowing it's going to be good, entertaining and original. JIR
I've loved the Cocker Brothers for a while. I was honestly dying to read Jason's story since he was always portrayed as the most loving and caring brother. For three novels, I built an imagine of him based on what I read.
I was honestly let down. This story line wasn't at all what I was expecting. It took 80% of the book to even get to a place of enjoyable reading. His story didn't go as I assumed it would.
I'm just glad he finally gets his happiness though. That is, after all, what I've been waiting on.
It was well written though which is the only reason I'm giving it 3.5 Stars. I was given an advance copy of the book in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.....
Once again Faleena has hit, a home run with this book. She has give Jason his nemesis and the love of his life. Sarah is like every girl who does put herself in the spot light but is always there for her friends. Sarah is Jason's match in every way. I can't wait to see who Faleena has in store for his twin Justin. Can't wait for the next one....
As Always Faleena, an amazing job.. It made me laugh and cry.
Faleena Hopkins never disappoints. I started to read this book in the early afternoon and couldn't stop until I finished it. This story is about looking past the outside and getting to see the true people behind the public masks. Just because a person is talented and beautiful doesn't mean they aren't selfish and cruel. While this is a stand alone story, once you read it, you will want to continue reading about the rest of the family.
I had the opportunity to receive this lovely book as an ARC and can say without a doubt it blew me away. I can usually guess how books are going to go within the first few chapters but this one had me guessing. I loved it!
I'm loving this series of the Cocker brothers! My face aches from grinning so much from Jason's and Sarah's story. Suck spitfires the pair of them and of course it never hurts to hear about the other brothers.
When: your brand is cocks, and males with Cocky attitudes... then you trade mark "Cocky" and develop a bad attitude yourself; you KNOW you just fucked your career... I hope you got a pen name and a backup idea, because Cocky just fucked you royally.
Oh my gosh this book 📖 is freaking amazing. Wow if you love potty mouth you’re going to love this series. This book is fast paced, wonderfully written and the author immediately grabs you with praiseworthy characters delightful humor and flirtatious scenes. The characters has traits that we see everyday in family and friends. Also the have flaws, even the seemly the perfect people, but we still loved them. Ms Hopkins stories, including this book, has enough twists and turns so that even if you can anticipate the ending; you don’t see the path it will take to get there.
Jason Crocker cone highly recommended as a music 🎶 producer. He’s currently producing a record album for Simone Ross-Taylor a rising star ⭐️ and he’s also seeing her romantically. Simone leaves broken hearts 💕 in every city she in performing. I love Sarah sass and sensitive persona. Sarah is Simone’s personal assistant and BFF. Jason comes up with Simone to sing 🎤 with choir boys for new single. Which turns out to be EPIC.
Sarah is always cleaning up after Simone, after all she’s here personal assistant. With the knowledge of Jason and Simone dating, Jason accidentally kissed Sarah. Go figure; I can’t forget hire that one out but they really did accidentally kissed each other. Sarah may not be the beautiful model that Simone is but she makes up for that with her dedication, hard working and she’s awful cute. Sarah and Jason bump heads constantly. But soon Jason realizes that he feel in love with the wrong girl. I was so hoping for that to happen.
Jason and Sarah were totally made for each other. They are definitely match in every way. The tension between Jason and Sarah gave substance to the growing romance; the fit well together given the fact that Jason can be so arrogant. Their romance is filled with devotion and sizzling passion. My fav part of the book is the interaction between the Cocker Twins. I can’t wait for a book with Justin, Jason’s brother. They are definitely the complete package. They’re complete opposite when it comes to relationships and love but they always have each other’s back. Pleas give the s book a try, totally hilarious and so much fun. I highly recommend this series.
1. Cocky Roomie 🚪 - Jake & Drew 2. Cocky Biker 🏍- Jett & Luna 3. Cocky Cowboy 🤠 - Jaxson & Rachel 4. Cocky Romantic 💑- Jason & Sarah
After Jason breaks up with Simone and she just can’t believe someone broke up with her. So she want Jason back so she can break up with him. She’s so full of herself.
Holy shit, I’m nervous. Outside my warehouse loft I find Simone in the parking lot in front of me, standing centered between somewhere near twenty boys. The corners of my eyes tighten in surprise as I try to understand what is happening. Then they start to sing. I grab onto the doorframe as the choir perfectly supports Simone’s angelic voice, all of them singing Brenda Lee’s famous I’m Sorry. When they break into harmonies, the twinkling voices hitting every note to its highest potential, it is so beautiful goosebumps light up my chest and arms. As the voices slowly fade, Simone holds her arms out and walks to me. “Jason,” she smiles, looking the most beautiful I’ve ever seen her. “I’m sorry. I was a fool.” Blinking, I let her wrap her arms around me. We have an audience and they’re all staring at us with smiling faces. Blown away by the romantic gesture, I hug her back and over her shoulder lock eyes with Sarah. Our gaze lingers. She raises her hand and waves with an awkward smile. Simone releases me and my arms hang to the side I’m so stunned. “Jason, let me introduce you to the boys.” Each one shakes my hand and I call Justin over to meet them. Two of the boys are twins and they get a kick out of seeing me and my brother together and all grown up. “You’re not wearing matching clothes,” one says. Justin says, loudly enough so their mom can hear, “No, we were taught to be our own men.”
I climb on top of Sarah, straddling her, my jeans and sneakers still on. Gently turning her face to make her look into my eyes I tell her, “Sarah, I don’t want Simone. I want you. I’m falling in love with you.” Tears spring to her eyes and she blinks at me. “Don’t say that if you don’t mean it, Jason.” “You’re going to find out how much I mean it,” I whisper, bending to kiss her. She ropes her arms around my neck and rises up, returning my kisses while tears fall down her cheeks. I can feel them and they’re killing me. If I could go back in time I would have picked her. And I’m going to do everything in my power from this day forward to make that right. She reaches for my zipper and I start laughing. “Well now, who’s eager?” Grinning she says, “I want to see the reason you’re so full of yourself.” “Oh yeah? You think you’re ready for this?” “Totally,” she shoots back. “Can’t wait.” Jumping off the couch and hard as ever, I kick off my sneakers and yank my socks off. “Jeez,” she says with a roll of her eyes. “Why is this taking so fucking long? Stalling?” Forcing myself to stop laughing, I cock an eyebrow. “My socks aren’t sexy. I want you to have the full impact when you see me naked for the first time. I want it to really hit you like you’re seeing the Grand Canyon or Stonehenge.” “Oh my God,” she groans. “You’re too much. I mean, really. This has been fun but I think I’ve changed my mind.” I unzip my pants, push them down and step out of them. I was going commando. ruth? I have no idea what to expect. Jason has told me about his family. And of course I’ve met Justin, but that’s all. Since I was enmeshed in Jason’s professional life while working with Simone, I have little to go on. I’ve never met this Jake he keeps talking about, or his new wife, Drew. I don’t know Jaxson or the woman he proposed to a couple months ago. Jason talks about Jett like he’s a superhero and has already warned me he’ll be absent, traveling the states with his motorcycle club, The Ciphers. And Jeremy, well, Jeremy’s in the Marines and everyone wishes the youngest of the Cocker Brothers was home safe — that’s all I know. And that he looks like Jake, apparently. But to me, that means (less)

Ay mi Cocky, nunca defrauda. Cuando vi este libro en la sección de "Romance picante", supe que me esperaba una aventura. Y no me equivoqué. Este libro es como un viaje en el tiempo a cuando mis tías se prestaban la revista "Pronto" para leer el horóscopo y los "consejos sexuales".
I love this story. Part of the appeal is that even with HEA books Cocky Romantic draws the characters as people who could be real. Even if we don't live in their world, we can relate. So many HEA romantic books are so predictable and unreal that I feel they should be labeled "fantasy'. I find Ms. Hopkins romantic books to be appealing because they are relatable. The characters have traits that we see in family and friends, they have flaws, even the seemly perfect people, living the perfect life, but we still love them. I got pulled in from the start and Faleena Hopkins made me care about the characters. Her stories, this one included, have enough twists and turns so that even if you can anticipate what the ending will be you don’t see the path it takes to get there. I wasn’t quite sure how Jason was going to end up with Sarah, I just knew they would end up together, but how? Ms. Hopkins brought in just the right twist to really add to the story and give Jason and Sarah a strong layer to their foundation of trust and love. Also, I loved to see the progression of Sarah and Simone's relationship. It wasn't the main focus of the story but it was paramount to the events and to understanding why Sarah behaved the way she did. We all have had those times or friends/people who have effected the way we behave, good or bad, and sometimes we don't even realize it. Ms. Hopkins stories are refreshing and not all sugar coated and straight laced. They have some grit to them and show that sometimes you have to get a little dirty to get what you want. And sometimes doing the right thing can be dirty work. Thanks for a wonderful story and as always I eagerly anticipate your next story. I received this as an ARC and am so thankful for the opportunity to read such a wonderful story.
Where do I sign up for a Cocker family BBQ? :) Meet Jason, the 'nice' twin. :)
The Cocker brothers haven't disappointed me so far and Jason's book is no exception.
Jason is a true romantic at heart, but keeps falling for the wrong girls. One of those girls is Simone, an up and coming pop star who goes through men like she goes through underwear. She stays detached and tosses them to the curb when she's through.
Sarah is Simone's long-time best friend and assistant. She basically keeps Simone's world running smoothly and without Sarah's brains, quick wit and steel backbone, Simone's world would fall apart. Sarah is a petite, cute girl who feels like she needs to lose a few extra pounds. She feels completely invisible next to her bombshell best friend. She is inexperienced with men and has basically sworn men off to avoid having her heart broken.
Sarah and Jason do not see eye to eye. On. Anything. They butt heads, hurl insults and battle for supremacy over Simone's world constantly. The snarky, nasty dialogue between Sarah and Jason is quick, witty and full of hate (and often hilarious). This builds the sexual tension between them until it reaches a critical level!
Throughout the course of the story, Jason's eyes are opened not only to Simone's flaws, but to Sarah's beauty and gifts. He can picture a future with Sarah, if only he can convince her to risk angering her best friend, for a chance at forever love.
Hot, enemies to lovers romance. Standalone novel within the Cocker brother series (with no cliffhanger and a HEA), but I highly recommend reading the other Cocker brothers books first. It gives you a better understanding of the relationships between the brothers within this close knit family.
Now...how can I get myself an invite to one of the famous Cocker family BBQs?
Can't wait for Justin's book (the 'not so nice' twin). :)
I loved Jason's story!! Jason has always had a big heart when it comes to women. It almost destroyed him at one point. He dated a string of beautiful women, but never really connected with any of them at a deeper level. Though he frequently thinks he is in love and now his latest flame is an up and coming pop star and has an assistant who is snarky, the bane of his existence and he can't get her out of his head, especially after their kiss.Sarah has been behind Simone for years, now she is lusting after the man Simone is sleeping with. She knows Simone isn't truly interested in Jason, but what kind of friend is she? As Jason and Sarah fight their attraction, it becomes to hard to resist. However, when Simone wants Jason after he dumps her, Sarah is in a bad place. With the help of Justin, Jason finally figures out who he really wants, now he has to convince her that his interest is genuine. This is a great love story and I really enjoyed it. The Cocker brothers are awesome. I love reading their stories! I can't wait to read Justin's story!! I definitely recommend the whole series as it is a great romance and a hilarious tale that will have you laughing out loud!! I voluntarily read this ARC and this is my honest review
Cocky Romantic: (Cocker Brothers of Atlanta Book 4) by Faleena Hopkins 5 stars Awesome hot contemporary romantic comedy that is a stand alone. Another enjoyable Cocker brother story. This entire series has are been awesome. Jason and or Justin are identical twins but are polar opposites. Jason falls hard whereas Justin loves them and leaves them. Jason is a music producer, one of the best in the business. Justin is interested in politics. Jason has been seeing Simone for months gets he sees her friend/organizer Sarah as a pain in his butt. Simone is also a user. Suddenly Jason realizes he was someone to make a life with and realizes Sarah is who he thinks of. Sarah and Simone are best friends and have been for years. Sarah realizes her feelings for Jake and feels bad. Jason rrealizes when he dreams of a future he sees Sarah. There are life lone friendships, family and business to consider. I love the way Ms. Hopkins builds her characters and their personalities. This story has angst, humor, tears, real life situations, dreams and unique families. I look forward to reading more of this author's books in the future. I received a complimentary free copy of this book
I voluntarily read this book as an ARC. Oh my! This series is amazing! There are 6 brothers, all from different lines of work. All hot as hell and all big bad ass alpha males. One biker, one construction worker, one Marine, one rancher, one politician and then there is Jason. Jason is the music producer. I love this book. Jason and his twin Justin have a connection that other don't understand. Justin has Jason's back no matter what, although all these brothers have each others backs no matter the situation. Jason is dating an up and coming singer Simone. Simone is a spoiled bitch! But her personal assistant/best friend is sassy and head strong. When Jason and Sarah have an accidental kiss, literally, they were shoved together while arguing toe to toe and their mouths toughed, sparks fly and neither understands the attraction. They both say they hate each other. But Justin sees right through that and helps Jason to see the way it should be. This series should be read in order because you will be disappointed that you missed out on the other brothers.
“There’s something going on between me and Simone’s assistant/friend that I can’t define. She’s growing harder to ignore.”
Jason Cocker and Sarah Daly can’t stand each other. They are vicious to one another. Unfortunately, they can’t avoid each other, as Jason is the new music producer and latest squeeze of her best friend and boss, Simone.
“That crazy kiss comes back to me, too. How I pressed my mouth harder against hers when I should have pulled away. And holding her hand backstage…It felt right to be beside her.”
However, an accidental shove results in an unexpected meeting of lips between the Jason and Sarah, which ignites a surprising flame between them that they can’t seem to ignore. There is certainly a fine line between love and hate!
This was a great story – I do love the enemies-to-lovers theme! Both characters are brash, fiery and outspoken. I loved how certain Jason was about his feelings once he acknowledged that he had them for Sarah. Fab, sexy tale!
Cocky Romantic is number 4 in Feleena Hopkins Crocker Brother Series. I could not put this book down.
Jason is the sexy music producer and doesn't even notice Sarah. Well not in the way she wishes he would. He is too busy sleeping with his newest star Simone, who just happens to be Sarah's best friend. Sarah and Jason are constantly fighting over what they each think is best for Simone. Until one hot kiss at Simone's release party turns there world upside down. Sarah finds herself feeling guilty over that kiss, even though she knows Simone has no feelings for Jason at all. Jason is equally as confused by his growing feeling for Sarah.
Can they continue to fight the feelings that they are starting to have? Or will they give in to these crazy feeling that are developing?
The Cocker brothers have one thing in common: arrogance. Everyone calls him a romantic, but Jason’s trouble is he falls for princesses. The selfish kind, not the fairytale. His twin Justin is willing to do whatever it takes to open Jason’s eyes. The only question is... even if the right woman came along, would Jason be able to even see her? Sarah has been Simone's best friend since high school and follows her on her quest for success. Only Simone is spoiled beyond belief and treats everyone horribly, including Sarah. Sarah stands by and works incredibly hard for Simone's dreams and allows her to mistreat her. When Jason falls, he falls hard. Sarah is unwilling to hurt her friend despite being mistreated herself.
I thought when it was one of the twins books it would be fabulous!!! Sadly it was just mhhhh, just ok. There were some smile big moments, some WTF moments and some what I just read was stupid sh'! Moments. All the fam make appearances but other that Jaxson no one has any part in this story. Soo what the heck?!? The big secret from the last book just overlooked, not one mention of it?? What why?!! It's huge , I mean huge and it's just swept under the rug like the dirty secret it is?!? Disappointed!! This was not my fav book so I am going to take a break from this series and maybe come back at a later date. 2.5 mhhhh stars!!
Jason's hate-to-love story is fantastic. As one of the country’s hottest music producers, Jason has loads of talent, but choosing decent women does not happen to be one of them. While working on an album for an up-and-coming singer, Simone, Jason hooks up with her. Four months down the line, the pair are nearly done with the album and are still having rampant sex. The only thorn in his side is Simone’s best friend and assistant, Sarah, who is the polar opposite of the willowy sex-pot, Simone. Short, sarcastic and blunt, Sarah and Jason trade some pretty awful insults each time they meet, the worst of which is reminding Jason that soon, too soon, the album will be finished, and Simone will be going back home. So what happens when Jason can’t seem to keep his thoughts off of Sarah? How did that sneak up on him? Fantastic dialogue, and loved the character development, especially handling how Sarah manages her loyalty to her spoiled, demanding best friend.
To be honest, this was my least favorite so far of all of Faleena's Cocky series - yes I have read them all - and have the next one on pre-order.... but I can't seem to come up with just the perfect explanation as to why.... It was an enjoyable read but was a bit too "gritty" in subject matter and personality interests for me to fall in love with the characters as I did in the others. These characters just didn't seem to have the depth of the others, to ME.
THAT said, this is only MY opinion - and you need to buy the book and form your OWN opinion. I'm not going to regurgitate storylines or ruin any thing. I dont know why people do that. (...and Faleena, don't worry, I love you to death.)
I've read all the Cocker brothers books so far and like the rest of them I'm hooked!! I absolutely love each one and this one didn't fail! Jason and Sarah fit well togrther. Their love/hate relationship that they have makes it fun and interesting. Jason's story gives you everything, sweet, funny, loving, rudness, tears, and of course an HEA!! My biggest problem that I have and its the same for all the books this author has written is the spelling errors. This one had quit a few which made some passages hard to understand what was being said. Need someone to edit the story better. But over a good read. ☺
