I am always a big fan of Faleena Hopkins and her Cocky series! This one was no different!! However, this one was a little deeper and darker with more intense issues, and brought to light the human condition and what parents will do to protect their children. Sean, a new recruit to the Ciphers MC has so much to prove not only to the group, but to himself as well. Everything is riding on his success with this group. He has had some hard times, that have changed the course of his life and it is time for healing and for positive change. Celia, born and raised in the Cipher household is a strong and trained young woman. She is fierce and brave, and understands the importance of helping others. When Sean arrives, she is part of the team that trains him in combat and weaponry. She has known love and freedom and toughness her whole life and has been fortunately raised in this house of deep family roots. She is set on helping Sean become a part of this family.

Sean and Celia have a connection that cannot be denied, but it is brought about through their ability to have empathy and compassion for each other. Their story is so beautifully written because it demonstrates how not only two people, but a family, can come together to heal another hurting member. The story demonstrates the strength of its members and how even the most unexpected of people can be the one who sets healing in motion. Sean and Celia both victims of circumstance find a way to heal not only themselves, but each other with an amazing love that blooms and spreads beautifully. The way the story unfolds is empowering and allows us to realize the importance of life and family and how easily life changing situations can be addressed positively with the needed strength and support from the family. This story, through the coming together of Sean and Celia, is beautiful and full of love. It is a page turner that has you wanting to know how it is going to turn out, not only for Sean and Celia, but for others as well. This is a must read for anyone who wants to read about empowerment and family love. Faleena, Kuddos to you!! I love how you bring serious issues to light in your books! Thanks. I read this voluntarily as an ARC for an honest review.

I have to say that I have not read one book in this series that was not a great story.  With that being said, this book is no different.  It is an amazing story with amazing characters.  Faleena Hopkins has created a family with the Cocker Series.  Not only with her books but with her fans as well.

In this story Celia thinks she is in love with Atlas.  That is until Atlas snitches on his on brother Luke.  When  Luke is sent away, everyone is tense in the household.  Celia wants to be there for Atlas, but she still finds it hard to be ok with what he did.  When a new guy named Sean is introduced into the house, Celia's feelings start to change.

Sean is misunderstood.  He is always in trouble because he fights for those who can't fight for themselves.  Not understood by normies, he feels misplaced like an outsider.  That is until he meets the Ciphers.  When he is given the chance to try out for the MC, he jumps on it.  He will do what he must to become a Cipher, even if it means not acting on his feelings for the beautiful Celia.  But when secrets come out of the dark hiding spaces, his time with the MC may just be reaching an expiration date.  Can he prove he is worthy?

This book was a pretty emotional book compared to some of the others.  I always like reading about Jett and his MC family.  They are brave and strong.  They live by their own code and help those who can't help themselves.  The characters may be tough on the outside, but deep down they are soft and kind.  They love deeply.  Wonder if we will get Atlas's story one day.

FATE SETS A COURSE TO TRUE-LOVE

Fate sometimes has a way of setting your life in the right direction and such is the case with Sean; abused as a youngster and instead of becoming belligerent he chose the route of sticking up for the ones that cannot do this on their own. His lifestyle earns him points to have a trial period with the Ciphers' Club. This is his chance for a better life and being able to do what he knows best; a protector. Celia is a beauty and notices Sean upon his arrival as does Sean notice her. Celia becomes one of his trainers and he has many moments when he wants to pull her aside for the whirlpool of desires he holds for her but keeping his head in the training game is pivotal; he must be voted into the Ciphers.

Soul-Stirring fabulous well-written read that keeps you intrigued until the conclusion. I absolutely loved Sean's honesty, loyalty, and protectiveness; Sean is twice the hero and Celia is definitely a force to be reckoned with. A few twists and moments that tug your heart, action, witty-banter makes you smile and laugh and the romance is fiery passionate. I do so love the camaraderie and family atmosphere among the Ciphers and wish I could join them on their adventures. I found this to be impressive and entertaining; loved it and I await the next book. A fantastic choice for your library if you enjoy fast-paced adventurous romance. Without reservations, I recommend this read.

Haven't met a Cocker Brothers story I didn't like. Quick read. Well edited.

Sean first appeared in Sofia Sol's story and I am so very glad that he got his own tale. He was such a great guy - always willing to stand up for the little guy and always thinking about how others felt. Faleena does a great job with the timeline - reminding us of what is going on with Sofia Sol & Luke, as well as Celia and Atlas.

I look forward to every new story. With all the tidbits on Ben, I sure hope his story is coming soon. So want him to finally be happy. So many cousins, so many Ciphers, so many stories and possibilities. Maybe Tonk Jr will end up in Atlanta with the blood Cockers while he gets his degree... Hmmmm....

Sean was the perfect recruit. I liked the way Faleena paralleled Sofia Sol and Sean's stories. In Sean's and Celia's story we see the other side of what was going on at the plantation while Sofia Sol and Luke were away. The difficulties between the two families was real and sad to everyone, most especially Atlas. Atlas was his own worst enemy but I don't feel that he redeemed himself in this book, perhaps in future books.

The family can't be to careful when it comes to letting someone new into their world so they put Sean through the wringer when it came to his training and discipline amongst the group. Sean, later Diesel, had to acclimate to their lifestyle, proving himself not only to Jett, the President of the Ciphers but to the entire group. Most difficult to please was Celia's mother who kept her secrets about Celia's real father a secret from everyone except the elders of the group that were there when she arrived to the plantation with Tonk. Tonk is still so in love with Carmen and wants her to be o.k. with letting Celia grow up, but at 31, Carmen still can't let go. Tonk Jr., sweetheart that he is, finally tells his mother what the problem is and offers great advise on how to move on. Beautiful because that is when Tonk Jr. realizes what he wants to do with his life. Seemingly out of place at the plantation, Tonk Jr. decides to try academia and we will all have to wait and see how that turns out but it sounds like a good story coming up.

One of the epilogues touched me personally. My first language was Spanish. My family has lived in the U.S. (legally) for many generations but since we live on the border of Mexico my parent's didn't speak very good English. I side with Luna in her comments about living in the U.S. and making the English language the first language everyone in this wonderful country of ours should speak. My mother understood English but refused to speak it - why? Because it was/is made very easy for them not to have to speak English. Therefore, like Sofia Sol, our children speak very little Spanish. My husband and I speak Spanish around the house but the dominant language in our home has always been English. Faleena, I don't know where you got the insight you wrote of as Luna''s but it is spot on in my humble opinion - good job!

I would have loved Sean's take on the Cocker family at the wedding but other than that I totally enjoyed this read.

Sean has always felt something of a misfit, and his good deeds have always been misconstrued as troublemaking. When his mother helps him find a way to channel his energies, he discovers a whole other world opening up to him - somewhere where he can fit in, do some good, and just be himself, without the pressures of conforming to society's idea of normal.

Celia has been born and bred into the Ciphers MC family. She knows no other life. Hung up on a guy who's forbidden to her, when Sean comes into their lives, he shakes up some of her ideals and desires, and has her questioning what she really wants.

I really enjoyed Sean & Celia's story. Celia has always been seen as weaker and more sensitive than her club sister, Sofia Sol, but she's really quite tough. It's takes one mission for other people to look differently at her, although it throws her mother into a panic, as it dredges up some past history that's better left hidden.

Sean is such a great guy! I was rooting for him all the way! He has such a big heart, is full of integrity and confidence, and is pretty darn sexy, too! I loved his stoicism and his intelligence, and his grit and determination. He's certainly a young man to be wholly admired, and I was so happy for him to find a place where he finally belonged.

This was a great addition to this series.

Cocky by association (no spoilers)

Like Phoenix from the ashes - fall in love with this swoon worthy couple!

This was the best surprise! I love this series and this book was no exception. It felt a bit different, but still so in tune to the rest of the series and so so perfect for their story.

The chemistry from the get go is so strong. I felt their attraction, their confusion, their restraint (or attempts to…). Then there are all the usual twists and turns that make up a Faleena Hopkins story. I love that there are always surprises around the bend.

This strong and unique couple made me fall in love, cry, laugh and sigh happily. It was everything I hoped for and more. I wished for this story and I’m so happy we got it.

A great escape into another world. Engaging from page one and it never lets up. Another excellent book!

“Family sticks together and family forgives.’
Not all families are bond by blood, that bond making them all the stronger. In a family that lives, works and plays together there are bond to be secrets and secrets can tear a family apart. Are the Ciphers strong enough to reveal their secrets and still be a cohesive unit in love and pain?
What is it about this family that makes Sean want to belong so badly? He is just trying to figure out where he belongs in the world but it’s not easy being the outsider in a family this strong.
Celia is afraid she is too soft in this strong family, but maybe an outsider can make her see that her softness is her strength. And she will need that strength more than she knows.
There are rules that make this non-blood related family work but times are changing. Is it time for the rules to change?
Faleena Hopkins writes stories that have a way of touching you. She seems to be able to draw on experiences that you can easily relate to, bringing strong emotions to the surface. Her writing draws you into the story and before you know it you can imagine being part of the story, part of the Cocker or Cipher family.
My only complaint is the end, it always comes too soon. I want more! You will not be sorry you chose this book or for that matter any of Faleena Hopkins books.

Cocky by Association
Loved the continuation of the Cipher’s story! Celia has had a crush on Atlas, Luke’s younger brother for years. Because of strict “no sexual involvement” house rules, she has been reluctant to let it be known. After all, look what happened with Luke and Sophia Sol! When a new probationary member arrives at the house, things start to change. Sean aka Diesel, wants nothing more than to join the Ciphers. He was abused as a child and felt like he never fit in with others. The group puts him through rigorous training and testing to see what he is made of. Sean is tough, fearless, loyal and resilient, but his biggest problem is Celia. One look and he is hooked. Can he have both, or must he choose between a chance to be a Cipher or getting the girl of his dreams. This book delves more into the MC club life style and way of thinking. Each member has his/her own strengths and weaknesses’. Again, more secrets come to light and whoa, what’s happening to Ben? And don’t forget the bonus content!

She did it again ladies and gentlemen!

Faleena Hopkins is a damn word wizard. Every time I read another book in this series I get sucked in only to come out completely sated and equally disappointed that I've reached THE END. I truly didn't know what a book hangover was until I read this series. Complete with withdrawals, the next book is always highly anticipated and never ceases to amaze me way beyond expectation. Cocky By Association (amazing title) I think is my favorite book in this series (And yea, I know I've said it before but I can't help they get better every time). At the end of Cocky Rebel I knew that Sean and Celia would come together and they would call to Faleena to have their story told. I'm so so glad they did, because DAMN! (LANGUAGE) Amazing book, amazing series. Keep 'em coming!

This is Cocky By Association written by Faleena Hopkins. In this book we are back in Vacherie Louisiana with the Cipher crew. They are a badass group of bikers that provide undercover protection and justice for people that have been abused or taken advantage of. Sean is given the chance of a lifetime. He gets the opportunity to join the motorcycle club after meeting a few of the members while they were out on a job. Sean comes in as an outsider and Ciphers are slow to trust. Will Sean be able to convince them that he belongs there? What secrets will an outsider uncover as he lives side by side with the motorcycle club? What about Celia? Do you think they will risk everything so that they can be together? Once you start on Faleena’s Cocky Series you will definitely go back to read every one of them!! Come take a ride with us at the Louisiana House!!

In Cocky By Association, Sean who was introduced in Cocky Rebel. Now he is at the Cipher’s house in Louisiana trying to become a cipher. Jett Cocker the president of the Cipher’s agree to gives Sean a trial. At the end of the probation period the Cipher’s will vote on whether to make him a member or send him packing. His first test is fighting Jett, Celia and Atlas. Sean is bruised and cut, but he refuses to complain and earns the respect of the Ciphers. As the probation continues Sean goes on a mission where he struggles after saving a man that abused him. As time goes he starts having feelings for Celia something that is forbidden. Since he wants to become a Cipher, Sean avoids being alone with her. I don’t want to give to much a way, but Sean finds love and home with the Ciphers. I loved this book, the bantering and fun between the different Ciphers kept me entertained.

Another amazing addition to the series!

This is a little different from most of the Cocker Brothers, but I actually enjoy the vast differences that started taking place in each book.

In this one, we continue a story revolving around Ciphers, but this one is involving Celia and Sean. With Celia trying to prove herself and Sean, well, lost in life, will they both find their way in life & love?!?? The ups and downs with twists and turns definitely kept me reading, literally, straight through!

Ms. Hopkins does an amazing job bringing the characters to life. Her writing easily flows and literally pulls you in, until the end. Another perfected writing by an amazing author!

Book 14 in this ever growing series

We met Cecila in Sofia sols book ( well actually in Jetta book but you know what I mean ) she is the best friend and mild manner side kick of Sofia sol. Tonk and the rest of the ciphers rescued her mother at 18 from a human trafficking ring and fell in love. The only problem is Celia doesn’t know this... none of the cipher ‘kids’ know this.

Running alongside Sofia and Luke’s book this book shares aspects of the same time line and we see seans’s recruitment and training to join the ciphers. Sean’s believing unrequited love of Celia.

I loved their chemistry together and the slow burn up of their relationship. Fantastic.

This series is like an addiction!! I can't get enough, and they just keep getting better. Sean and Celia were amazing. I didn't even care that neither of their last names were Cocker. They fit right into the series, and I loved them just the same. I felt the yearning they felt, I cried with Celia and Carmen, I was elated when the story concluded. Sean was perfect for the Ciphers and he was perfect for Celia. I have to say I was very happy that she didn't end up with Atlas. I'm still holding a grudge against him.

Holy crap, Faleena, you need a disclaimer on your books – tissues must be handy at all times. One reviewer used the term “ugly crying”. Yep, that is what will happen when you read this book. But what a good ugly cry it is. I state this in pretty much every one of these reviews that I love the sense of family. The story is so much more than a story of love. All kinds of emotions creep up on you. Anger, compassion, hurt, love and more love. Sean and Celia are great characters that I could have kept reading about long after the story was over. I hope there are more stories of the Ciphers.

Celia and Sean prove that fate is a funny thing and that it will give you just what you need! Celia has been trying to prove herself to the Ciphers for years and finally it seems that she has broken through to them that she is not a delicate flower and can handle herself. Now she will just have to figure out a way for the feelings she has been harboring for Atlas to not ruin anything. The family has already been thrown into upheaval over Luke and Sofia Sol, so she will need to tread softly. For now she is going to throw herself into training the Sean, the possible new prospect. His amazing skill and devotion to justice will make him a great Cipher, but he needs to be voted in and she wants to help him get there. Sean knows what it’s like to be the one who needs protection and now uses his strength and drive to being a protector. This has gotten him into hot vigilante water in the real world. When he gets tapped to potentially join up with the Ciphers, it could be life altering for him and he is going to do anything to make this come about. They stand for everything he does but for one thing - all single Ciphers are forbidden from relationships. From the moment he laid eyes on the strong and beautiful Celia he was affected and the more time he spends with her he falls even harder for the woman. If wasn’t bad enough she is off limits per house rules, she is also all about Atlas. Sean wants to be a Cipher more than he wants Melodies’ next delicious meal, but he wants Celia more than his next breath…. Which path is he destined to ride?

Never thought it possible to just keep getting better when he series is already so great. Cocky by Association brings you to a new level of emotion within the Cipher family as they test out the first new blood in 30 years. Sean, an outcast in the 'normal' world is set to prove his worth to the Ciphers. Celia, having just proved to the others that she can handle herself on missions is part of the training crew for Sean. Fate is an amazing thing when it happens, Sean feels he has to stay away to make the Ciphers, and Celia just figured out her true feelings. Can they risk it all for their love, and what happens when the horrors of the past come to light? Such an amazing book with emotions and feelings that keep you so involved with this amazing family.

I really like these Cocker novels. She could write stories about the 3rd generation and it still wouldn't get old to me. This was another great read. Two people struggling to define where they belong. I cannot stand Atlas. That a..hole lol. When/if the truth finally comes out about Sofia, I think it will be explosive. I felt like he should have at least told Celia the truth after her confession of feelings, but delayed gratification and all that jazz makes the storytelling much better. I'm hoping the next book will be about Ben or Tonk Jr. Tonk Jr. is kinda treated like he he's worthless because he's different but I really like how Faleena gave us an insight into his brilliance. I'm really hoping he goes to college and also falls in love with one of the Cocker daughters lol.

I love the Cipher spin-off stories! This book takes place in part alongside the timing of Sofia Sol's book Cocky Rebel. It's another great story about finding your way and place in the world (for both main characters) and being true to yourself while you figure everything out. This story is a bit of a slower burn than most of the other Cocker stories, but it really worked well for these two characters and how things work at the Cipher house. And yes - we do get the hot sexy scenes we have come to love, even if it takes a little longer to get there! Faleena also gives us a few more hints about other Cocker stories to come, but only enough to tease! Overall, another great story and pretty quick read. I hope we get more Cipher books in the future!

I Wanna Be A Cipher!!!

I am voluntarily reviewing Cocky By Association by the incredibly talented Faleena Hopkins.

After reading this book, I feel emotionally wrung out! I laughed, I wept, I got angry, I got sad, I cheered and I treasure every moment of it!

I met Sean in Sofia Sol’s book, Cocky Rebel and found myself quite intrigued by him and sort of “met” Celia as a baby in Jett and Luna’s book, Cocky Biker so I was very excited to read their story.
What a breathtaking story it was!
After reading Cocky Rebel, I was thinking how awesome it would be if Faleena wrote books for the Cipher offspring and she didn’t disappoint in the least.

I absolutely love this book this whole series has been just wonderful and filled with true life moments Sean and Celia's story was wonderful and I can't wait to see where the other characters go I really hope Sean's mother and Tonk Jr may have a future coming that seems like that might be something very interesting to read but if you can read the whole series read the whole series but these are great as standalones to this was just a remarkable story and my favorite part was when Sean thought he was being expelled from the group when he was actually being accepted into the group can't wait for the next great read. I read this voluntarily as an ARC for an honest review

Cocky by Association indeed!!

This book follows Sean (who we first met in the cocky rebel) trying to prove himself to the gang that he is an well enough fit to be apart of their group! Whilst also focusing on the romance between him and Celina as the story progresses. I loved their relationship and this book. The missions and the badassness of all these characters made me enjoy this more then the original.

We learn more about the gang as a whole instead of getting a small glimpse of them in the cocky rebel. And (of course) awesome and passionate sex scenes you don't wanna miss! Lol it was brilliant.

Cocky By Association is an amazing and incredible book. I enjoyed getting to visit the Ciphers again. Celia is the daughter of Tonk Sr and Carmen, best friend to Sophia Sol. Sean is an outcast that Sophia Sol and Luke found in Sedona. Luke and Celia have a special chemistry together and I loved watching it grow.
There are a lot of surprises in this book and they are not all happy ones, but everything turns out to be amazing. I can’t wait for more of the Cocker books. Faleena Hopkins writes incredible stories that just make you feel as though you could meet all the characters on the streets.

I make it no secret that I love this series because it is just flat out AMAZING! This book is just a bonus. I love the Ciphers and their whole dynamic, getting the opportunity to get to know them even further is something to fall in love with. Celia and Sean are to die for! Their chemistry is off the charts as is their struggles.

You will never go wrong reading one of Faleena’s amazing books, how she keeps them coming to us with her creative and intriguing story lines, I will never know but I will never complain either! They are just AWESOME! 5 Stars plus!

Oh wow, I loved Celia and Sean!!! I couldn't put the book down!

The Ciphers are such an interesting family, their dynamics complex and so familial, it was wonderful to have a look at them from an outsider's perspective (Sean). I sure hope Faleena plans on continuing with their stories alongside the rest of the Cocker Family!

A perfect combo of romance, self-discovery, humor and so.many.feels.

Hello ugly cry? yeah. But the good kind of ugly cry where the author breaks your heart and puts it back together again.
