Very practical information

This is a great book on explaining impulsive behaviors and how to control them. As the author states, impulsive behaviors are not always accompanied by a diagnosis. Impulsivity can include binge eating, even if you don’t meet the clinical criteria for a diagnosis. Yuliya Richard PsyD also reminds us that all impulsiveness is not bad, it’s only when it becomes dysfunctional that it can be a problem. The book includes three practical ways to overcome dysfunctional impulsiveness and live better. Mindfulness has been a huge help for me. There are even online courses offered to help with specific behaviors. I found those helpful as well. The one I checked out was called Impulsive Anger and Rage Management. I definitely recommend this book.

Unlike other books which are filled with exercises, I loved how the author defined the issue, which will be easy to relate with the readers. The illustrations are really brilliant. I also had a chance to check out the website and ended up taking a course. Readers should definitely check that one as well.
