They brought her in to examine the alien animals. Being mated to the Ka’atari Warrior Chief wasn’t in her contract.
Xenobiologist Juniper Baldwin is facing a career studying bacteria from Mars, but she dreams of complex animals from different planets. When government officials arrive and whisk her away to a secret bunker to study the pets survivors of the space station Shangris brought back from the far reaches of the universe, she happily signs on the dotted line. She knows the beasts are dangerous, but it’s not the creatures who make her want to cower in a corner—it’s the fearsome lot of alien warriors. When the leader tells her they are mates, her legs tell her to run, but her body wants to melt at his touch. Previous boyfriends used her to further their careers, and this warrior wants her to give him a baby. She refuses to be used again. No matter what her traitorous body insists is right.
Sucaen has spent his life searching for his rhun . The one woman who can give him the family he craves. He’s elated to find her on Earth, and terrified something or someone will take her from him before she fulfills his dreams. He never thought he’d be the one to push her away, but his need for a family does more damage than he could ever imagine. He’ll have to use all his Okan strategy and planning to rectify a dreadful error—or lose his rhun forever.
As if the looming Scozid threat weren’t enough, a tomcat with opinions and a misguided human resistance group add to their troubles. Action packed, steamy sci-fi romance fun!
This novella is the fifth in the Ka'atari Warriors series. It has a guaranteed happily ever after and no cliff hangers but the story progresses from book to book and the series is best read in order.
Juniper is a brilliant species scientist who also has a snake-cat type pet and pet sits for her friends. She is pet sitting when a huge alien male barges in and suddenly drops to his knees in front of her. So rhun begins.
I was so excited about Sucaen finally getting his story and it was really, really good! I also liked that sneak peak at Gabriella's secret life and hope her story is next.
I've missed this series so happy for the new story!💖
This was a solid 4 fabulous 🌟s in the Ka'atari warriors series. Sucaen is chief of the warriors and they've just made it back to Earth space . He and the rest of the Talia are in negotiations to help save earth from the Scozid and begin Ruhan match program. But alas nothing can ever to smoothly. Earth's leaders are being difficult and suspicious. They don't want to tell to many people about them the problem is once Juniper a young xenobiologist meet Sucaen all set are off. Juniper wakes up goes to her new exciting job of observing new alien animals and huge gorgeous warrior tells her that she is his fated mate and he doesn't wish to ever live without her. How do you convince someone your ment to be if they don't believe in fate? How do you protect a people that doesn't believe it needs your help! Read and find out if has just the right amount of action ,angst, passion and the best part love. I'm looking forward to reading the next in the s series. 🔥🔥💖💖💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥🔥💖🔥🔥💖🔥💖💖🔥💖🔥💖💖🔥💖🔥🔥💖🔥💖💖🔥💖💖🔥💖
This is book five and I enjoyed Sucaen and Juniper’s story until the last few chapters. I actually liked how Sucaen took to Juniper straight away. He was passionate and kissed her. Then he took a step back, and thought let me check in and asked if Juniper knew about Rhuns. Sure it’s a quick start for this couple but still enjoyable. Then all chaos breaks out and the author writes in a heartbreaking moment, for Juniper, in the midsts of a military emergency. I was just like no way! So that moment took away my sails for this book five. And then later to end the book with the bringing the couple back together and all types of orphans, this felt forced into the ending. I think surrogacy too would have been a good thing for this couple because Sucaen was so focused on a family for so long.
Exciting tale of an alien Chief in ruhn with a human xenobiologist! Kenzie Kelly has penned a delightful novel of adventure, espionage, and love. Loved Juniper’s cat Snake Pusskin. Snake adds fun, laughs, and energy to the story! Entertaining read!
Although each if the books in this series aren't very long, they are deftly written with great characters and their companion. I hope there are more to come in the future.
Contracts and hate groups. But also excitement and community. I think the background storyline of aliens landing on Earth was more interesting than the love story.
