When his past comes knocking at the Bruno house, the family’s second son is forced to face his mistakes - and to learn there’s no hiding explosive secrets forever.
Vincent was never going to be head of the Bruno family, and he liked it that way. Less responsibility. More time to play.
I was one of his playthings. His little Mirabella, a dirty secret his family would never approve of. It was only a game to him. For me? It meant everything.
When he disappeared without bothering to tell me he was leaving, he left me brokenhearted and unable to reach him.
With a tiny little secret that soon got a lot bigger.
Now he’s back, and he thinks the past can be easily forgotten. It’s not always that simple. Whether he likes it or not, I’m going to make him face his responsibilities - not because I want to punish him, but because my ruthless uncle demands it as a means of infiltrating and destroying the Bruno family.
If I fail, I’ll never see my baby again.
If I succeed, I’ll lose the only man I’ve ever loved - and this time, it’s forever.
A great Mafia story with a twist. I really enjoyed Mira and Vincent's story that was well executed with a unique storyline and characters that were entertaining and noteworthy. Vincent was never meant to lead but circumstances (Books 1 and 2) put him in the spotlight. There is plenty of intrigue, secrets and suspense that are woven into the pages of this novel keeping the reader invested and wanting more.
Mira and Vincent's story is initially a "set-up" that Mira is forced into by her Uncle and father who want to overthrow and destroy Vincent's family business. It begins somewhat innocently, but quickly transforms into a tiered plot that could go in any direction. Mira and Vincent once reunited begin to experience the attraction and love they once had for one another but is marred with Marco and Dante's mission to destroy Vincent's family and business. Characters from the others two books have cameo appearances in this book. You should read book 1&2 to get the full back story of Vincent's family and his changing role that brings the reader to "real time" in book 3. Fast paced and exciting and heartfelt as Mira and Vincent are put through some difficult situations in order to save their son Robby.
The writing is well done and the story is very entertaining. The entire series is done really well.
After reading books 1 and 2 of this series, I could not get through this book quick enough. Because I loved it.
After the first two books focused on Delilah and Luca, I was hesitant to invest myself in different characters. But they… did not disappoint.
I am mostly impressed with the character development in these books. I was not a fan of either character at the start of the book, and by the end I was cheering for them. Once again, the FMC impressed me with her strength and determination, and I love watching a man who seemingly has a cold heart melt for a woman he loves.
The continuation of the underlying mafia plot is so well done, and the insight into established characters was so fun. I loved catching glimpses of Delilah and Luca from an outside perspective. And, again, introduction of new characters was seamless.
I love this series, and it has convinced me that I am a true mafia romance lover.
This is the 3rd book in this series, and this is Vincent and Mira’s story. Vincent is the second son in his crime family and is happy with his life the way it is, and when he returns from Italy, he is opening a bar which he wants to be a clean and legit business. Mira is being extorted and is forced to confront Vincent at reveal her little secret, or she will lose everything dear to her. This is a well written story which is dark, raw, gritty, and intriguing, with undeniable chemistry, family, twists, emotions, and love, which leads to an entertaining and delicious page turner. I was sent an ARC of this book for an honest review.
This book was a great story! I love Mira and Vincent. Well, maybe not so much Vincent in the beginning. This story has me going back to catch up on the other stories. It was that good!
Don’t be like me and be late to the Bruno Family Party! You’ll definitely fall in love!
Mira was Vincent's little secret, but when he left without a word a broken hearted Mira had a secret of her own, one her uncle uses to his advantage, in getting into the bruno family. just where will it leave the pair? well written engaging, a great addition to the series.

The plot unfolding was fantastic. I feel as though it can't be read as a standalone. I need the back story. Other than that, everything else was on par. All my boxes were checked off with this book. I do need more and will re-read this.
Great series with all the grit, sex, blood, and betrayal we expect in the Mafia genre. The female characters find their strength and the men fall deeply in love.
There's mention of a fourth book "Insatiable" which might branch out into another family, but this trilogy is complete, with no cliffhanger.
