Have they conspired to fool the press only to fool themselves?
With rumors he has a mistress in every major city, rookie NASCAR driver Roberto Castillo is the quintessential playboy. That is, until Cargill Motorsports orders him to clean up his act. Fortunately, he's found just the girl to put a shine on his tarnished public image.
There's not a girl in America who could out-wholesome pretty actress Mallory Dalton. When Roberto suggests they date--for appearances only--Mallory knows that Roberto's bad-boy reputation could ruin her good-girl image. But maybe that just what she wants...
Unfortunately, even the best laid plans can...backfire.

From The Outside by Helen Brenna Harlequin NASCAR Library NASCAR: Hidden Legacies Book 4 Dark hair, dark eyed actress Mallory Dalton never felt like she fit in with her blond haired, blue eyed family. She also is tired of being the goody-two-shoes in all the shows and movies she’s in. When asked to help clean up a bad boys image she decides that maybe she can get some of that bad boy to rub off on her image instead. In the midst of everything else a secret that should have been told years ago comes to light and shatters her world.
Roberto Castillo has succeeded at open wheel driving and now he’s joined the Cargill-Grosso team in NASCAR. His image of a bad boy playboy is alive and well whether it’s true or not. His agent wants him to have America’s Sweetheart as his pretend girlfriend to clean up his act. All he wants is someone to see who he really is inside.
The Grosso’s are busy with leads on a past mystery while trying to run their business and keep their new driver out of the tabloids. On the track there’s plenty of action as well trying to teach Roberto that Kent is a teammate not an enemy. Nothing new on the murder from book one, yet. Book five continues with Nathan Cargill as he has plenty of troubles dogging him these days in Over The Wall. http://justjudysjumbles.blogspot.com/...
This is tough, probably a high 2 but there were some things that were annoying to me and tbh I read Black Flag, White Lies the next day and really preferred that. I think the descriptions of Mallory's acting career were interesting but ultimately I can only take so many of the ladies man driver gets the girl stories without some deeper element being added in. does that make sense? Probably not, I mean I am reading these. Anyway, not bad but could've been better (maybe).
