This is the second book in the “Suvorov Brata” series & I really enjoyed reading it but I would recommend starting with “Dark Promise #1” before reading this one as to fully understand the underlying storyline. I found the plot quite suspenseful with a darkish undertone & it has good world building with well-described scene descriptions. The two main characters (a domineering man, Pavel Sergeyevich) & (his somewhat unwilling wife, Liya) are very complex individuals who portray realistic emotional feelings as they struggling to come to terms with the adversity between them. The secondary characters offer good support.
There is: various kinds of bratva/mafia crime syndicates, family issues, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, secrets, manipulations, resentment, emotional turmoil, distrust, memories, complications, heartache, warnings, disagreements, deceit, betrayal, danger, devious intentions, threats, violence, confrontations, conflict, murder & destruction. Sadly this mafia romance ends in a cliffhanger & I look forward to the next book in great anticipation.

I definitely thought this was a duology and not a trilogy so I really was confused by the end. There were so many twists in this one I felt like I had whiplash. A little disappointed in the heroine's arc. She was becoming so interesting and coming into her own and then I feel like the author didn't like who she wrote so she tried to rewrite her. I'm a little bored of the whole "man can't admit his feelings without being weak" trope and there was SO much of it in this one. I'll read the final book just to see where it goes but I'm not really excited for it.

No dogs.

Annoyingly Repetitive

Seriously, Liya is freaking schizophrenic. They have the same fights over and over. Then a switch is flipped and she’s different and calls him “my love.” They apparently keep making mistakes but there never seems to be any closure. I just can’t recommend this book.

Ugh!!! Liya really annoyed me had me wanting to just throw my kindle throughout book 2. In book 1 I liked watching Liya go from being quiet and having no voice, to finding her footing beside Pavel. But in book 2, everything just went straight to her head, we see a drastic change in her- and not for the good. I’m honestly not sure who had the balls in their marriage, Pavel definitely didn’t come across as a man born, raised and trained for the Bratva.
Book 2 picks up right where book 1 left off. Liya is dealing with results of her decision regarding her brother. She gets mad at Pavel when she thinks he’s hiding stuff from her, even thought that’s what she’s done- twice. And Pavel is still denying his feelings about Liya. He’s still claiming she’s just a pawn and their marriage is a means to a end. Liya really made me angry when she never put her safety first and her babies. It was all about her want for medical school and she didn’t want anything to stop her from going. She makes rash decisions and tells Pavel what to do, and then blames Pavel when things don’t go to plan. And when he starts to take back control and not consult with her, she gets mad at that.
Book 2 ends on another cliffhanger. And with more bodies piling up, and no one safe, I can’t wait to see how this war ends!!

Pavel really was the highlight of this story. He was so understanding and tried to be supportive of Liya. Liya, though, drove me crazy. She did a complete 180 in personality. She went from shy, traumatized, quiet Liya to loud, commanding, and rather obnoxious. I did like that she was trying to find her position in Pavel's world but she refused to take any consequences for her actions. She also seemed to always be surprised by how violent the Bratva life was, which was odd considering she grew up around the life herself. I liked getting the chapters in the other points of view, even though I don't trust Zoya. It was still interesting to see her and Willows take on things. I enjoyed this installment of the Suvorov Bratva. It was exciting and gripping. It had my attention the whole way through. I'm excited to see how this is all going to unfold for everyone. I would definitely recommend Wicked Vows if you like exciting Bratva romances!

Enjoying this series so far.

This is book two of the Suvorov Bratva series please be sure to read book one before reading this book. I am very much invested in Pavel and Liya's story however I am a little upset by how selfish Liya tends to be throughout this series so far. She tends to makes decisions and then blames Pavel when things don't go the way she expected or wanted them to go. I am looking forward to reading the third and final book in the series, Corrupted Oath. I am hoping that Liya can take responsibility for her own actions and stop blaming all the bad things going on around them on Pavel.

Intense, Powerful, Dangerous, Deadly

Book 2 of this Suvorov Bratva is just as heart stopping as Book 1. Liya is trying to embrace her independence and being the Queen of the Bratva but it’s a whirlwind of anger, angst, fighting, and heartbreak throughout her and Pavel’s relationship. They are still in danger and the threat to everything hold near is being threatened. There is a lot of animosity in this book and at times it’s hard to see if they are going to make it or not. The final book in this trilogy will let us see how it all plays out. Happy Reading!!

Son of A Biscuit

This book 2 in the series is super hottt🔥
The twists and turns had my emotions all over the place. I just couldn't put it down.
There can't be two Alpha's in the Btratva, so just think about it.. who will be the main Alpha? You have to read this series. Brook Wilder doesn't disappoint.

WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK?!

How can you end a book like that?!! My word I’m on my toes! I hope Lyia and Pavel can make it work, they are seriously end game. And I hope that they end up buying Willow from the auction!

Can’t wait for book 3!….4.5 Stars!

The story is getting really intriguing and thrilling. The suspense is killing me. Will Liya survive this world of Bratva with her Pakhan? There’s a conflict of love and power. Who will win?

Hard to read

Disappointing. Story started off well but it got messy and nonsensical down the line. Most of the scenarios in the book are not realistic at all.

This book picks up right from the end of book 1, continuing Pavel and Liya's story. There are some heartbreaking moments in this book, along with some hot and steamy scenes.

Wicked Legacy by Brook Wilder is another exciting, thrilling installment of the Rough Jesters MC Series. This story will pull you in with all of the action, drama, violence, betrayals and passion. Halftrack is sent on a mission to find Siren and Voodoo to end this fight with the Cartel. Along the way Halftrack meets and spends the night with feisty, mouthy Cora who is being used by Siren to get info on the Cartel. The passion and chemistry between these two is explosive from the start and when Halftrack leaves Mexico he left Cora with a child. Now these two are back together and the battle continues, who will come out of this alive? Will Halftrack be able to save Cora and his family from the enemy? With all of the problems the Rough Jesters have going on, what is going to happen to Chains and Widowmaker's relationship that has been on rocky grounds and how will this effect the future of the Rough Jesters MC? Can't wait for the next book. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

I wanted to like it but ended up annoyed with the main female character. She made me cringe so much.
