Hardwired for Happiness: 9 Proven Practices to Overcome Stress and Live Your Best Life

Rate this book
We live in a world of abundance and prosperity. Technology brings us closer and keeps us more connected than ever before. Advances in medicine protect and heal us. And yet, so many of us trudge through life feeling heavy, empty, alone, and stressed out.

The answer to this paradox can be found in the evolutionary biology of our brains, which are wired to look for danger to keep our bodies safe and ensure our survival. Unfortunately, our brains are maladapted to our highly volatile, uncertain times. In the face of accelerating change, we find ourselves chronically anxious, triggered by even the smallest stresses.

Hardwired for Happiness distills cutting-edge research from the fields of psychology, neuroscience, and ancient wisdom traditions into nine proven practices that can rewire your brain to seek happiness instead of fear.

Begin your own Hardwired for Happiness transformation today by learning to master your inner world and live with more joy, well-being, meaning, and love.

Sorry dawg I just thought this was kind of boring but maybe that's due to the stage of my life or the values I hold, I'm not sure

Got to meet Kothari though and he's a cool guy!

This book is all about “rewiring” our brains away from fear and toward resilience.

The Author repeats a lot of the things you’ve heard from Atomic Habits and The Power of Habit.

Not bad, just also nothing new. I certainly needed the reminder!
