Storm is the 5th book in the Dragon Bride series by Kate Rudolph. This one focuses on Storm, a Dragon Lord and River, a human. They are each sent as part of a diplomatic delegation to broker trade.
Shortly before leaving his home planet, Storm was instructed by his mother to find a mate in the next year or lose his inheritance. Even at risk of losing his inheritance, Storm is resistant to finding a mate. That is, until he meets River. They are both drawn to each other from the moment they first see each other, and it's not long until Storm suspects that River might be his mate.
I liked this one. It's a fast paced read that kept my attention. It has danger, action, romance and a touch of mystery. I liked both River and Storm and I enjoyed seeing them come together. It's a quick read but I feel that all the elements combined to make balanced story.
I would recommend this to fans of the series and fans of sci-fi romance.

This is a wonderful read I am sure that you will enjoy the characters and the plot
Storm is a Dragon Shifter that is happy until he receives an ultimatum, find a bride!
He is told that his bride can be found by a matchmaker which he was to say somewhat doubtful over but if he failed to find his bride, he would cease to get his inheritance paid to him. This is simply not acceptable but, on this occasion, he decides that as the instructions have come directly from his Royal Majesty, The King he had better make an effort.
Whilst he is at the unexpected, he sees his mate whilst she is working at part of the Diplomatic Delegation, he is determined that he is going to win his mate “River” over even though she has no idea at first that he even exists as she is a mere human and they do not have the instant recognition like the dragon shifters.
Then as they start to get things together, they find themselves under attack and having to fight their way together if they are going to make it, she is fanatic and feisty and he cannot help being drawn to her, she is simply amazing.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

Dragon Lord Storm needs to find a mate if he wants to keep his inheritance. Not just any mate will do, it has to be a mate his mother will approve of. Storm ends up meeting the royal matchmaker and is advised where to find his mate. Storm is determined to ignore what the matchmaker said but when the king orders him on a mission he has no choice. River is a human female on the diplomatic delegation. As soon as Storm meets her he knows she is his fated mate but before he can get to know her the delegation is attacked. Storm and River escaped but now they have to relay on each other to stay safe. River is reluctant to relay on Storm, she doesn't even know him and to make matters worse her superior has essentially ordered her to seduce Storm so the negotiates go the way her superior wants them to. Will Storm and River get together, will they survive being hunted by the enemy? I loved this book. The characters are amazing and the story is original. This book and the whole series is a must read.

Just so happens to his surprise it comes true the next day. Despite his mother’s pronouncement he will loose his inheritance if he doesn’t find a mate he’s dead set against doing so.
But his king has made a request and so he sets off on a diplomatic mission to secure a trade route deal with the human settlement of Mayt.
Arriving at the meetings neutral location his first glimpse of diplomat River leaves him attracted to the tenth degree.
River who has dreamed of her current diplomatic position has been rudely disappointed by her boss letting her know before the mission she is only there to seduce Storm.
Thankfully fate intervenes and the ensuing adventure of love and fated mates becomes a well written, fast-paced, perfectly delightful Sci-Fi Romance read.

Another little gem of a read.
Storm is next up on the matchmaking block! He's determined not to meet his mate but he does have to obey the King, even if he is his uncle! A Diplomatic mission is not his forte but when he meets the Human delegation...his mate is with them!
River was hand-picked for the diplomatic mission but she is a teacher. What on Earth can she bring to a diplomatic meeting? it seems the leader would like her to use her...attributes to help smooth the way!
Storm is actually cool, calm and collected - outwardly at least. He doesn't want to scare of overwhelming River and he kind of drip-feeds her information. They worked really well together to try and save the mission and put the mercs out of action. I admit I picked the wrong baddie this time around but BLEEP was a bit of a ar%e in my defence!

Lord Storm is a dragon shifter who has been told that his inheritance is in jeopardy by his mother if he doesn’t find a mate and the King said he must make an effort and that the royal match maker will help. The match maker tells him to go to the Diplomatic Delegation and he will find her there and he is shocked to find his mate and that she is a human walks into the room and it takes all his strength not to claim her there and then. River is a human and is at the Diplomatic Delegation representing earth and when she arrives she sees a sexy male who she is drawn to but she knows straight away that he is a high born Lord and she is a nobody. When there is trouble it’s up to Storm to keep River and two delegates safe and while working together the burning hot chemistry pushes them together and if they are going to make it they must work as one. Loved this book and it’s a must read.

River is filled with nervous excitement about her first mission as a diplomat... and she isn't going to let the lead diplomat ruin the mission for her. She's going to prove she belongs there... though she had no idea going in just how crazy a diplomatic mission could go.
This done in one book is part of a rich universe. River and Storm are each, in their own way, looking at their future, and seeing whether or not it is time to embrace changes.
I was gifted with a copy of Storm and chose to share my thoughts.

Pouty resentful dragon prince gets a mate...
...and a personality makeover. When his micro-managing mama gets sent on a mission for the king, she leaves her grown-up princelings with their marching orders: get yourselves mated to suitable mates, or kiss your inheritance goodbye. Storm isn't bold enough to rebel outright, but when the Intergalactic Dating Agency's psychic matchmaker advises travel and open-mindedness, he sees an opportunity to duck mama's meddling and the dreary dragon ladies he'd sooner die than mate. Off-world he goes. So, prince meets human female (totally unsuitable, per mama) and the rest is history in the making, as only Kate Rudolph could write it. It's great read, and I'm dying for the next one (in which mama meets the mates?) Meanwhile, grab this one and enjoy.

I loved it! I am short on time. Storm is ticked because mom says find a wife or lose his inheritance. His younger brother gets him to go see the matchmaker, what can it hurt? He doesn't have to listen to what this person has to say does he? But, finding a wife gets put to the side when he is asked to go on a mission for the King. When they get there to meet with humans to make a deal, everyone is attacked. He & River, the human he had noticed earlier, escaped. Things keep happening that make him believe she is his mate. When they are finally able to get back to where both their parties are being held & free them, they find out it was one of the humans who betrayed them all. He is caught & subdued. Storm tells River about being his mate & asks her to come home with him. She agrees.

another great story in this series with entertaining plot, great well described characters and an interesting plot. storm and river (great names) face a lot of danger yet manage to find out that river can control his dragon flame. they tackle everything they need to do to survive and keep each other safe while rescuing their ppl too outsmarting the bad guys. its fun seeing how these brothers tell themselves they don't want a mate until they find her despite her being human.

Storm (H), a dragon shifter lord, needs to wed if he hopes to be named his mother's heir and follows a matchmaker's advice to follow the king’s next order and he’ll find his mate. River is excited to be picked for the mission to open up Mayt for the dragons until her boss told to prostitute herself out to help them. What no one knows is that someone doesn't want this deal to go through and everyone is in danger. Great story.

loved it !! love this series !! love River and Storm.. this is their story.. a fast paced action packed drama... Storm is the second son...he must mate a suitable female or lose his inheritance.. he has one year...the royal matchmaker... do as the king says... River is a teacher turned diplomat.. well...she is told to make nice with the dragon lord or else... nothing goes as planned... betrayal... terrorists..mercs.. and a love like no other... so good !!!.

Dragon Lord Storm is ordered by his king to lead the diplomatic delegation for his people to meet with the human delegation. River is part of the human delegation and Storm is immediately smitten when he sees her. River was ordered to flirt with the dragon lord which is not a problem once she sees him. When mercenaries come into the picture, River and Storm end up spending some time alone with each other in a cabin located near where the delegation is being held by those mercenaries. There's adventure, fated mates, love and steamy romance all in one with a happy ending.

This story focusses on Storm, the next brother to be sent to the matchmaker and he is not on board, at all...at least until he meets River ;) River was a teacher and really couldn't figure out how she could help with the delegations. Well, mercenaries later, she's been beyond helpful and a fab partner to Storm. Expect an adventure filled with action, intrigue, banter and a steamy HEA. Good fun!

Diplomacy Gone Awry
Storm wants nothing to do with finding his mate, but when he first sees he sees River, the attraction is immediate. River just wants to prove herself as a diplomat, so while she’s attracted to Storm, she avoids him. But when danger strikes, this pair find refuge in each other, as well as the strength to fight back. These two take their sweet time progressing to intimacy, but I loved the build up, accentuated by the intense action. A great exciting read.

I always thought that Storm was a sexy name for a male so I was hyped to read this book. I’m happy to say that Kate did not disdain in the slightest. Storm was a sexy male and when he saw River it was magical. I loved the action and how they worked together to achieve the outcome they wanted. A quick, sexy escape read!

This is the 5th book in this sci-fi series but it can be read as a standalone. Storm is in need of a wife to save his inheritance. The matchmaker is read to help and tells him just where to look but when a diplomatic delegation arrives, he can’t believe his mate river is with them. Fast-paced read with loads of drama and sizzling scenes. I liked it.

Another reluctant dragon lord had found his mate. I though the royal matchmaker's word was a riddle but it turned out that it meant what it said literally. I enjoyed reading this book and it got me to look at the story of the other dragon lords. There is adventure here, action, and lots of love and a brave FMC for our mighty dragon lords.

Wow The Action!
This book appeared to have more action in it with mercenaries attacking. The matchmaker may only give a hint to each of the dragon males as to where to head to find their fated mates. She has been spot on so far. Plenty of fight scenes, danger and some sex scenes.

A breezy, tremendously captivating science fiction novel set in whit lots of twists and unexpected turns, this was much more interesting than I expected, and generally just a really entertaining read.

You’re in for non stop action, danger, betrayal and possibly the fastest bonding ever. The two main characters were meant for each despite the doubts they had. You won’t want to put this book down.

Was die Zwei gemeinsam erleben und sie damit noch mehr verbündet könnt ihr hier lesen.
Spannend und unterhaltsam geschrieben hat mich die Geschichte gefesselt.
Jeder Band der Reihe kann unabhängig gelesen werden.
