Wow! A veritable weave of a rollercoaster of twists turns and loops in this gripping story. All Alex Bailey wants is to disentangle her life from Spruce street to New York to settling in Madras with her Hawk . But getting there is one disaster after another . With a few shocks and surprises ,a kidnapping and a realisation or three…..This latest book in the series promises to tie up loose ends but then there’s threads left teasingly and although no cliffhanger,it leaves you hungry for the next instalment already. Very well written with great characters , plots ,subplots and sub characters. A compelling , can’t put down read that is immersive in it’s excellent descriptions and fluency of the story’s flow. I read an arc of this book and my review is voluntary and in my own words

Ms. Mykel has done it again with Stitching Concerns. This is an exciting chapter in the ongoing story of Alex and Hawk with surprises and unexpected complications at every turn. The story moves swiftly and I enjoyed it thoroughly from beginning to end. I'm looking forward to reading more about these likable characters and discover more of the mysteries that surround them and their past.

Bridgette, at the Art and Soul Gallery, NYC has invited Alex Bailey to a Photo Shoot with her Charming Chevron Quilt made for the Art Gallery years ago. Then Alex plans to spend time with Hawk for a Romantic Rendezvous on Madras Island. Unfortunately, the Comare, Kaiatlyn Romano, the Godmother of the NYC Mafia is trying to take Alex out while she is in NYC. So, Alex's Trip from Spruce Street to NYC to Madras Island is filled with Intrigue, a Kidnapping, Danger, Lots of Surprising Twists and Turns.

This is an Excellent Book and I really enjoyed it. I can’t wait for the next book to learn more about the history of Alex's family. This is the fifth book in the Quilting Cozy Mystery Series and each one is an Awesome part of the series! I highly recommend this Book and the Entire Series to anyone who enjoys Cozy Mysteries.

I received an ARC Book from the Author, and this is my Voluntary and Honest Review.

Wow 🤩

This book is the fifth addition to the Quilting Cozy Mystery series. The story follows Alex Bailey as she tries to find her lost balance in life. Still living with unanswered questions, Alex decides to give her social life another try only to be caught in the same mess again. With no way out she decides to face them head on with help from unique characters along the way.

The author's brilliant writing skills keep you hooked up till the very end. With major plot twists along the way, it would keep you fully immersed in the story line. The book is fast paced, with adorable characters and brilliant plotline. The book feels like a perfect combination of a thriller and a mystery all in one.

With gorgeous supporting characters like kibbles and Hawk and jaw dropping plot twists. It is a lovely book to read, I loved every part of it. I can't wait to see how the story unfolds in the next book.

I received an advance review copy, and I am leaving this honest review voluntarily.

While reading her deceased adoptive grandmother’s journal, Alex reads an entry from 2002 talking about SOS, the Society of Six, an organization originating in the UK, then spread to Canada and finally New York became the home base. Knowing nothing about the Society, Alex finds that she is now in charge of the organization. Because she is now in the charge of SOS, Alex is avoiding the Comare, the Godmother, and head of New York City mafia who is determined to get rid of Alex so she can gain control of the Society of Six. Trying to stay alive and avoid being caught by the Godmother may not be as easy as Alex thinks. What a terrific book! Like Alex, I felt the tension, excitement and fear she is feeling. I look forward to the next book in the series. This is my honest, voluntary review of an advanced reader copy of this book.

I really enjoy this series and have from the first book. I was a little disappointed in Stitching Concerns as the author kind of jumped around from one part of the story to another part. Also, at the end of the book Hawk and Alex didn't even talk about what happened to her in New York. I enjoyed the storyline but wished it had more details, especially at the end. Hopefully the next book will bring some of those details together. I am excited to read the next book in the series, hoping Hawk and Alex talk in detail about what happened in New York (I'm trying really hard not to give away any spoilers!). Definitely a series worth reading - mystery, cozy, family, friends, murder, romance; a little bit of everything!

Alex has been invited to an art gallery of a friend because of a quilt she made for her years ago. From there she is off the the island to spend time with Hawk. If only it was easy to go from point A to point B. Instead it's a roller coaster with Alex's life being put in danger multiple times.

I really enjoyed this book and I selfishly wished that it was a tad longer. However, we got to see Kibbles, Henrietta, Hawk, Pepper and an exciting new character. I’m hoping to see more of this new person. I can’t wait for the next book and to find out more about SOS.

OK Mystery
Stitching Concerns is the dramatic fifth book in a series of Quilting Cozy Mysteries. This book will keep you hooked until the very last stitch. If you like gripping whodunits, then you’ll love Kathryn Mykel’s whipstitched tale.
This was an okay mystery. It's just a bit different.I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This in no way affects my opinion of this book.

Oh my gosh, this read like a cozy adventure movie, like non-stop action once Alex was on the move heading for the island. A few detours, a crazy kidnapping, a rescue that shocked her socks off, but she was finally on the island with those she loved most. At the one surprise part, there might’ve been a little eyeball leakage from me because it was just so darn sweet and cool! I’m glad this isn’t the last book since there were a couple more things not addressed.

When Alex was heading for her retirement destination she stumbled upon unexpected people and also found herself in danger. This fast paced mystery is shorter than the rest of the series but has more dynamics because everything is happening really fast. I like authenticity of characters and unexpected plot.

Stitching Concerns

This book was absolutely a continuation of the last book. But surprises and twists and turns led from one page to the next. Reading at 1:00am was something else but could not be helped as I had to know what exactly was happening. Very Good Book. I Highly recommend this series. Great Author.

So many secrets from the past! One thing for certain is that Alex keeps finding herself in danger! It seems so easy—do an interview in New York then get on a plane to meet Hawk on a tropical island. Fasten your seatbelt because it’s going to be a wild ride! That’s one tough lady!

Significant resolution happened. Alex learns more about Nona. Hawk and Alex move forward. Mimi is definitely helpful. And having mafia types after you is not a good situation. Read to find what happens, and what else is going on!

Why are people always trying to kidnap her. A question that Alex doesn’t know the answer to. Hawk and her plan a retreat to her newly found island and a chance to relax. But all good travel plans go awry. What happened next?

Shortest one yet, and I must say my least favorite. I will keep reading the series, certainly, but I hope it gets back to being just a “cozy “ mystery series, with more quilting involved…..
