So that happened, and you're welcome for this warning I didn't have due to my own hubris. This is what I get for foolishly going in blind and not reading reviews or hell even the synopsis. This was not cute gay vampire romance, it was raunchy smutty smut with pictures. And a half-assed attempt of a plot. I can never unsee this and that's a star up from the 1* I was originally going to give this. The art was lovely minus the porn scenes which I'm not going down that tangent. So read at your own risk! Or kink.

A Boys-Love manga with Vampire x Priest, somewhat taboo dynamic, age-gap (~10yrs), & hot smut!
I found this via a FB video & I'm glad I tried it. This starts as a half-assed plot but as it sorta fleshed out backstory & even got a tad emotional at end, I enjoyed it. I easily read this in 1hr 30min. The artstyle is great! The characters are gorgeous.

Story discussed, so spoiler alert.

Kaname is the priest who adopts a vampire child Al. K's Al's adoptive father, but I don't really consider that incest. Plus, there didn't seem to be any grooming involved. Al ended up liking K on his own. K's caring but does get jealous regarding Al. Al's helpful & head over heels for K.

The Ch 1 starts us up when K+Al are already smut-ing together. But then we get backstories. Of K, of Al & how they got where they are. Lol, it's funny how Al just found K masterbating & that was the start. Ig, K finally saw Al, as the adult that he is, then.

There's dub-con, but consent is good mostly, & biting. No prep in ch 1 but I think it's as K's so loose by regular sex 🤣. As Al did think of Lube in later chapters. The rimming & makeout is hot. When they couldn't control their need, those fangs out, SO HOT.

The vampire turning & dhampir plot was interesting enough. Even the other Vamp guy got some development, he was very helpful. I don't understand why he drinks that kid's blood tho 🤔. Vamps' existence is known by humans here. Al's so easily accepted by church people that I'm surprised but happy!

The whole bit about "find me in my next life" hit hard. I wish there were vamp mates so they could've combined their life forces 🥹.

I enjoy taboo, vamps & short mangas so this was for me! My 200th book on Goodreads in 2026.

Something about this book just didn't work for me. The vampire being a kid in the beginning weirded me out a little too much. They're adults before they do anything, though. It was spicy, for sure, but I could not tell you the plot. It felt very thin, and I didn't really understand the chemistry between the two main characters. It just wasn't for me.

4.5/5. Simple, sweet, and gorgeous art! I love vampires, and this really hit the spot. I really liked how the religious aspect wasn't an obstacle and just part of the setting. The nuns knowing about Al's crush and teasing and encouraging him to confess to Kaname was funny and cute. The story flowed better than I expected and made for a quick and easy read. If you like vampires and fluff and are looking for something with a bit of spice, this is a really good pick!

This was very smutty yaoi manga about a priest and a vampire. Underneath the many explicit sex scenes, there was a surprisingly tender and poignant story. The ending was bittersweet but hopeful. Props to the author for not making the church the villain either. It may not be true to life, but the church in this is fully open and accepting, so it was refreshing.

Bufff complicat valorar aquesta lectura ^^' BL ben explícit, hot i smutty entre un mossèn jove i un vampir que és acollit de petit per l'orfenat d'una congregació religiosa que només és catòlica en aparença (perquè accepten sense problemes relacions homosexuals, sexe entre homes -un dels quals és mossèn- i no discriminen els vampirs, que no serien la figura més cristiana del món). Així doncs, l'element més fantàstic és l'entorn i no el fet que humans i vampirs convisquin en harmonia. El final és un pèl precipitat i es podria haver desenvolupat millor el conflicte de la immortalitat i l'essència d'un mateix, queda penjant d'un fil... una llàstima que només sigui un volum únic 💔

I was really excited to read this but ended being disappointed. I felt like there wasn’t much of a story and was just a bunch of smut. The ending was really rushed and was basically summed up as “yeah instead of being together forever why don’t you find me in a different life”

If smut interests you then this if for you. Otherwise I’d pass on reading this.

i can’t believe county tax dollars were spent so i could read toxic yaoi through the library,, this is the future liberals dream of,, and no matter how morally fucked this was it’s still more ethical than what 98% of our taxes otherwise go to
