Diya Steele, born of violence and condemned to the prejudice of heaven and hell alike, wanders the earth consumed by fear. Fear of the realms determined to kill her, and fear she will hurt innocents if she ever loses control.
The Dzhavo, a fearsome team of elite demons, are ordered to capture Diya and bring her in to face the Legion. Instead, they keep her for themselves, determined to get answers from her by any means necessary. Fighting through their lust with brutality, they discover nothing is as it seems.
With Earth caught in the crosshairs of a war between realms, Diya and the Dzhavo must find a way to work together to save the world.
How far will Diya go to save the worlds that branded her as an abomination? Will the Dzhavo be able to overcome the lies they've been told and trust the one person that might save them all?
Is a relationship built on fear and desire strong enough to keep them fighting for each other, or will their prejudices keep them from stopping the evil that threatens the world as they know it?

Diya Steele is a succubus - an undesirable creature, much maligned and despised by her peers. She’s been trained to use her supernatural ‘curse’ of sexual allure as a weapon of assassination. She believes she is doing good work in service of Earth to balance out the continuing power struggles between the realms of what man perceives to be Heaven and Hell.
Hot on her trail are an elite demon team of assassins. Adram, the serious leader, can bend other Demons to his will. Eli, the sarcastic sadist, has the ability to project himself inside the mind, and body, of his victims. Tobi, the quiet snake shifter, can paralyze with his lethal venom and words. Rett, the giant shifting monster, can and has crushed a man’s skull like a walnut. All are willing to stop at nothing to capture, interrogate, and neutralize their prey - Diya.
When the inevitable altercation occurs, sparks and weapons fly. Secrets are uncovered and revealed. Long believed truths and lies are exposed. The very foundations they stand upon are rocked. Can five mortal enemies work together to bring peace to the realms? Will they discover who is responsible? Will they be in time?
The hell fire 🔥 and heat in this paranormal romance are scorching. The pages crackle with $exual tension and epic hate-f€ck vibes. This is a dark novel with many trigger warnings. It is not a fade to black situation in any aspect. If these concern you, please heed the warning.
I loved the characters. Diya is a thick, beautiful woman. She is worshipped for her size. She is confident and gorgeous. A true, bada$$, FMC. I loved the guys. They had some major groveling to do, as one does in an E2L book, and it was worth it. The payoff is a big one. The massive world building is amazing. Excellent writing and plot. I also loved Diya’s Bestie, Amber. She’s her ride or die. Even up against demons and shifters, she still had her back.
Revelations rocked my world and knocked my socks off for good measure !
This book has a hold on me. The world is high stakes and well built, woven throughout the story. Definitely listen to trigger warnings, but if you don't have triggers dive right in because it's a ride.
A couple dark moments in this book gave me pause and made me question my feelings, which in my opinion, is how you know you found an impactful book. If you like 'em dark, you will revel in this deliciously twisted story.
Diya Steele is a Succubus who has been feared and dispised her whole life because of her powers.
Four powerful Demons known as the Dzhavo consider her enemy #1.
When the four demons are sent to capture and torture her, Diya and the Dzhavo discover the enemy is just as powerful a match as they thought.
This twisted, dark story kept me on the edge of my seat and I absolutely devoured it.
The tension between the enemies is so strong that it's truly hard to tell if they are going to kill eachother or... well you know 😏
These characters are dark and twisted, maybe even monstrous at times, but they are all now my babies, okay! They called to my darkness and I said, 'Hello my demonic dearies' !
I liked the first half of this book, but then it went downhill, in my opinion. This book is very dark with heavy triggers, and I was OK with it because the story made sense at first. In the second half of the book, I literally had no idea what was happening. Significant things would happen so quickly, and I had a hard time figuring out how we got from point A to point B. The writing was very rushed during important plot points, and then the smut chapters would be extremely long and repetitive. The sex scenes also sounded mostly just painful and awful. I couldn't really get into it.
This was one of those books that has so many triggers, if you’re easily triggered, have Karen or Chad tendencies or just are easily butthurt, skip this one and just leave the rightful 5 stars.
This book grabs you by the throat and makes you finish her. From the prologue you know that there is sometimes special about it. The fmc is a beautiful soul who was given a bad hand. And the male demons all four of them are intoxicating.
Every twist and turn, I wasn’t ready. I’d gladly read book two if this wasn’t a standalone.
I just was not ready for the ending sentence. Like, I’m such a greedy wh0r3 that I needed all of it.
Way to go, Becca! You exceeded all of my expectations and more.
Okay yeah, *objectively* I think this just barely hits a 3.5, mostly because of plot holes galore, pacing, and insufficient world building. That being said, 5 stars for enjoyment—the smut was deliciously filthy and with the exception of Eli, I loved the men (I truly loved Rett and Adram).
So yeah, the men are demons and def a bit monsterly (two are shifters and there are spicy scenes while they’re shifted). Has MM although it flirts the line of f3 ti sh izing it since the men didn’t really feel like they had romantic feelings toward another.
But spice aside, the pacing was incredibly rushed after the 50% mark and the lack of world building really did a disservice to what could have been a great plot. Really, the plot and the switch from enemies to lovers most definitely required that this be a duet, not a single standalone story. The plot really left me wanting but again, at least I could enjoy the spice.
Definitely read through the author’s content warnings too as this does touch some sensitive content matter.
I was not expecting this book to be what it was and I was so excited for everything it was! Make sure you pay close attention to the trigger warnings, they are there for a reason! Diya was a fantastically flawed character. She gave me so many feelings throughout the story from apprehension to admiration to pity to awe, to name a few. Her journey was lonely and full of challenges, thankfully Amber was the best friend any girl would be thankful to have! As for the guys, well they were depraved in such outrageous ways that I started irritated with them and ended up adoring them. They each had quirks that drew you in and their flaws gave you reasons to second guess your thoughts.
The story itself was original and Rebecca created an awesome new world that drew me in. The spice levels of Diya & her demons were holy hotness! The ending was mostly unexpected in all the absolute best ways!
I know Rebecca warned me that this book is a bit more darker then her Progeny duet and she wasn’t kidding about that 🥲 I love how I was already in the love with this book by the first couple chapters. And the ending, omg 🤯🤯
If you want something gritty, thought provoking and some thing that you’ll just want to binge read, then this is the book for you 🫣🥰
Holy smokes. This story was so good. Diya is the kind of FMC I truly enjoy reading about. The things this girl went through for information she didn't have was freaking crazy. It was no joke, the depravity was wild. However this chic took everything thrown her way like a champ. Trained assassin succubus… heck yes The guys, Adram, Rett, Tobi and Eli needed a good smack upside the head in the beginning. Men can be so dense sometimes, lol. It really is a good enemies to lovers RH story. There were moments I cried with and for Diya. There were moments I laughed out loud. "Discount King Kong vs Leviathan" had me cracking up. Oh and pineapple juice, lol. There are more things, but these two just really stuck out to me for whatever reason. So if you happen to read my review before reading Revelations, hopefully you'll get a good laugh at my mentioning them here. So I highly recommend reading this book so you know what I'm talking about. Also the MMMFM was so hot, and let's not forget about all the hot seggzy scenes. Yes can't forget those, lol. Was this a standalone??? I should know this but anyway I could totally go for an extended epilogue, novella with Diya and her guys or even a spinoff with her bestie Amber.
I dragged this on a few days because I didn’t want it to end! The characters were done so well…. Dark, dirty, sexy, depraved, sick, spicy cinnamon rolls! Our lovely succubus is such a beautiful person! Strong, powerful, humble, empathetic. She took her life in stride and overcame all the hate thrown her way and still came out on top. World building was done so flawlessly, I didn’t feel like anything was left out, nothing was dragged out in my opinion and I understood everything from start to finish. The smut was top notch but who doesn’t want to ask for more dirty scenes 😉
I don't know what I just read and it was excellent! This book is full of triggers, dark and flawed characters, and smut. 100% recommend to anyone that enjoys dark romance.
The FMC is a succubus and the men are all demons. Some of them shift, one was able to invade people's minds, they were all alphaholes, and they were in no way shy about being together.
A messy, jumpy standalone that had me interested enough in Rett to finish but annoyed at the others the entire novel. This one felt inconsistent to me. Rett made an effort to apologise for his actions, but the others for the most part just fell back into their old habits and continued as is. Even with the fmc being hesitant about them, it just kept going. It confused me. I really would have dnf'd it if it weren't for the sometimes-gentle giant. The world building didn't help the case either, with a lot of politics and not much else.
Finally a character I can relate to! It’s rough being so alluring to men. The fact that my meow has unholy powers to bring my men to monumental pleasure and reduce them to ash is a burden I carry wholeheartedly. Diya gets me. She understands the struggle of wanting to be a good person but not being able to resist the temptation.
In all seriousness though, Diya meets the Apocalyptic 4 Horsemen in Adrian, Tobi, Rhett and Eli. They weren’t the end of all time that she was met with, but the beginning of her self discovery. Her secrets and her destiny will come to light but only after she is emotionally and physically torn to shred by her captors.
Rebecca created not just one world but multiple worlds in this dark romance why choose novel. The characters are written and developed so well that you can clearly see their purpose and contribution to the story. Although the worlds could get a little blurry at times, by the next paragraph things were made clearer, diving you deeper into a disturbing political scandal. The story ebbed and flowed so well that I literally couldn’t put this down. And the spice was just utterly, ridiculously naughty in a completely delectable way.
I think this goes without saying that I’d definitely recommend this book.
"Your power calls to mine in a way I don't understand. I felt like to not be with you would be agony." Revelations releases on October 28th but is already available in paperback!! I just finished the ARC in 2 days flat, because it is SO GOOD. Shapeshifting demons and a curvy confident Succubus, facing end of the world? This book is dark and absolutely delicious. Triggers warnings- dubcon, violence, abuse, captivity, deprivation and more. Rating: 4.5/5
Rebecca Rathe’s newest book Revelations is in a word, Intense!
This is a dark paranormal reverse harem romance and when Rebecca gives you a trigger warning, I suggest you listen. If you’re a fan of dark romance I’m not sure there is much that will bother you though.
There is so much action in this book, it bounces from brutality and torture to chaos and action, to steam that is off the charts. It was hard to get this book out of my head even when I was forced to put it down.
It was a full-on book that I couldn’t get enough of. . . . Diya has been on her own since she was 16. Her mother forced her to leave home when she knew what she could do. Since then, she has been alone, suffered self-loathing and been hurt and hunted. She has one friend Amber, but she keeps her true self hidden from her. She’s tried to use her ‘curse’ for good working with the Mendax Corporation – Earth’s anti-dark magic coalition.
The 4 men/demons who are sent to hunt down Diya the last succubus are not necessarily evil but they are willing to do whatever it takes to achieve their goals.
Adram is the leader of the Dzhavo, he’s also the High Chancellor of Leosh but at the moment he’s focused on his goal to bring Diya down. ‘Having her here and keeping her alive has been a struggle against my nature. Having her here and being tempted by her… pure torment.’
Tobi has a past connection with Diya that none of them realize. He’s a shifter demon who turns into a viper. He tries to be the most level-headed but Diya throws him off. ‘Once we get through this battle, we’ll figure out what to do. How to get her back.’
Eli is the most jovial of the group, but he is not any less dangerous, in fact, he may be the one who can dish out the most pain. “God you’re so fucking hot when you’re violent and devious.”
Rett is a shifter demon who becomes a beast, he’s the largest of all the men and seems the least humane. “Cudo, I gladly died to be inside you just once but now that I am reborn I will live to never leave your tight, warm pussy again. You. Are. Mine.
The four have known each other for a long time and they have become a well-oiled machine, they also have a deep connection of brothers/lovers.
There is a war coming and it revolves around Diya.
There are three realms Leosh, Nebe, and Earth. The humans are in the middle, the humans see Nebe as heaven and Leosh as hell, they don’t’ really know of them and what they do know is what the people of Nebe and the Leosh people have spread through rumors. Leosh and Nebe both see Earth as theirs to watch over but in all honestly, Earth is just the plaything that they fight over.
Adram, Tobi, Rett, and Eli are the Dzhavo they are the Leosh’s elite members of their legion army. They have been sent to earth to track down what they consider to be the most dangerous creature of all the realms and for the past 10 years, that is what they’ve done. The Nebe are also after her for their own nefarious ways.
Diya is hiding amongst the humans where she has always lived, banished from both Leosh and Neba. She is the creation of the last descendant of the holy nymphs of Nebe and a rouge demon that escaped from the dungeons of Leosh.
She has always felt bad for what she is and what she does, but she tries to work on the side of good and do what she can to help the Earth. Now the Dzhavo have closed in around her and fearing not only her power but her past they go out of their way to get the answers they need by any means necessary. They don’t see a person they only see an evil creature they need to destroy
What they don't realize is that they have been played, as there is a lot more going on in the three realms than even they realize. If they can look past what they have been told about Diya they find there is much more to her and that together might be the only way to end the coming war. ‘My tender moments with each of the Dzhavo make me ache in my bones about the absolute unfairness of it all. As much as I wanted to pretend I hated them, I was feeling more and more dependent on them with every touch.’
Check Content Warnings!! This is a VERY dark, why choose, paranormal romance filled with adult content and all of the 🌶!
Revelations by Rebecca Rathe is one of my favorite reads this year! We follow Diya, a Siren, who is terrified of her abilities because of her lack of control. The Dzhavo, a team of demons who are the best of the best, are ordered to capture Diya, alive, and bring her in to "answer for her crimes".
Once they have her however, they discover nothing is as it seems with both her and the crimes she's accused of. They decide they aren't giving her up until they know the REAL truth.
While this is going on there is a war being waged between realms, and earth is smack dab in the middle of all the action! Will Diya help to save the world that labeled her an outcast and treated her worse? Or will she succumb to her abilities and become the one thing she has always feared she would become?
"Is a relationship built on fear and desire strong enough to keep them fighting for each other, or will their prejudices keep them from stopping the evil that threatens the world as they know it?"
… I’m not kidding, I’m never going to recover. This story was flawless. The writing was descriptive but not overly-prosey. The characters were EACH fully rounded out and went through their growth arcs so individually but still interwoven like the most complex braid ever. The action was intense, descriptive, and well paced! And the SPICE?! My golly goodness, I don’t think I’ve blushed this much in years. I physically couldn’t read this in public because it was… I couldn’t keep my reactions off my face.
I loved the world that was built, the way it was introduced, and how Diya was NEVER a dumb character just because she didnt know much. She asked GOOD questions exactly when I felt like she should. There was no “stupid decision” just to move the plot in a direction.
The TWISTS of who the baddies were??? I gasped and cried and-
Point is??? If you like TRUE enemies to lovers? Like, captors who brutally torture and mentally break their prisoner ENEMIES?? They truly believe she is a reprehensible monster killer of innocents - and they treat her as such!! Then THIS is the book for you!!
Not gonna lie. Me, personally, I could never forgive someone if the things done to Diya was done to me. But I’m not a Succubus who’s never experienced a moment of compassion - I felt SO present in her head that it was all believable. I literally *write* succubus romance books - and I’m entirely despondent that I’ll never be able to write like Rathe because this was magnificent. I will be buying a physical copy to sit in a place of honour on my bookshelf 100%.
I laughed. I cried. I (mentally) cheered - and then cried some more. For those who are wary: There is a HEA, I swear, and the journey to get there is flawless!
I really didn’t know what to expect from this book, but I enjoyed every chapter. I’ve never read anything like this.
The author does a great job at pacing and every time I finished a chapter, I was already skimming the paragraph of the next chapter to see what happens next. I did want a little bit more in a couple of areas of the book - more detail, more emotion, etc.
I got a special book box edition and I think it messed up the formatting. It was really hard sometimes to figure out who was talking and sentences would be bumped to the next line & indented right in the middle. I didn’t rate this book any lower because of that because I don’t feel like that’s the authors fault and I bet it’s not a problem on the kindle version.
HOLY TRIGGER WARNING Oh my god ! Aight so we're introduced to Diya who is a succubus, a hated creature that needs to feed by ending men's lives. Then we meet Adram ..who's a demon after her We emd up following 5 pov's as a whole and I liked how the POV's were introduced THE INCLUSIVITY This was absolutely amazing when it comes to inclusivity the FMC is a plus size beautiful woman the men after her are a mix and match of everything you can dream of THE SPICE Through the roof ... it was a lot so check the trigger warnings before you read The writing was fun and intriguing and the plot was decent so it wasn't just a smut fest lol MY FULL READING VLOG AND REVIEW https://youtu.be/Ejoi5LtPeV8
This was such a fun read, I couldn't stop reading it!!! The mystery and spice is just the right amount. Some things were kinda ridiculous for me but overall, it was fun.
2.5 🌟 I enjoyed the main character However, I found the plot to be lacking. The character relationships were underdeveloped and the ending felt a rushed.
5⭐️ i ate this up. let me tell you, rebecca has a way with her words and i couldn’t put this down. it was so good, spicy, captivating. diya is a succubus and has been hunted by these 4 demons until she’s finally caught by them. they did some questionable things, secrets were revealed and thoughts and lies were questioned. i loved how the guys grovelled to get her back and make her realized they made a mistake. check this book out if you want a dark PNR with violence, torture, smutty spice but check triggers as i said, the guys do some very questionable things. i’ll always read whatever this girl puts out, it’s always so good
