I'm just a normal high school senior, trying to get by under the radar. Things tend to go sideways when I get noticed.
Cue the idiot jock who makes a move on me and ends up with a broken nose. Apparently, it was a mistake to choose violence.
Turns out, that was the last straw. Instead of high school graduation, I get sentenced to Juvie.
Just when I think this place will be the death of me, a mysterious stranger invites me to a boarding school full of dark secrets. Wolfe Asylum.
It’s day one and I feel like I’ve walked into a secret society whose members want me dead, except for Alden. The tall, dark and sexy guy who draws me in and sets my blood on fire.
Alden isn’t exactly welcoming, but I can’t help the safety I feel when he’s hovering over me like a watchful beast, protective and dangerous.
Maybe I’m not as normal as I thought.

Ivy is a seventeen years old high school student who lost both parents three years ago and has a habit of getting in trouble for fighting amongst other things. Her older sister Lorelei is her guardian and does her very best to provide for her younger sister including disciplinary matters if need be. One day, Ivy gets trapped by a male drunken student in the school staircase and has to defend herself in order to prevent the boy from raping her. She therefore breaks his nose and is sent to the principal's office. This being the last straw in her three years of "bad behavior ", she is sent to juvenile hall where she will have to serve her sentence. While starting her confinement at juvy, she is implicated in another altercation with other inmates. The event is witnessed by Stella, a counselor of sorts who offers to take her out of juvy and enroll her at Wolfe Asylum. Ivy wakes up finally after her encounter with the sifters and other paranormal, in the previous book. Alden is right by her side, when she wakes up and she is attracted to him. However, the memory of what happens is played down to a nightmare by Alden and Ivy is less than impressed. She is about the only one who is clueless about what type of institution this place is. The author brings a very captivating sequel to the first book, filled with questions about the fate of Ivy, the reason why she is cast apart as an intruder and the reason why the blonde idiot Xena is always on her back, her and her following of lap dogs. Ivy has been cured by Alden who also told her about his duel heritage ad part wolf and part demon. Alden, by curing her with touches and kisses had also revealed himself to be a succubus. Xena and her Bullies (Nice name for a band), state that they were possessed by an unknown entity that had them attempt to kill Ivy. As if that is not enough, Ivy starts sleepwalking and poses a danger to herself. Alden is there to protect her and behaves strangely when he feels Ivy threatened. I am looking forward to read about the reaction from Lorelei when she comes to visit, for the first time. The day where the residents of Wolfe Asylum can show their relatives around is finally here. Ivy is beyond excited as she will see her older sister Lorelei for the first time in over a month. She is doubly distracted by the fact that Alden, after planting a kiss on her that made her feel things that she never felt before, has decided to keep his distances. Ivy and Alden cannot get enough of each other. Alden continues to protect but the physical intimacy is taking more and more place on their relationship. They finally tell each other how they truly feel, and the group comprising Faye, Sebastian, Silis and Alden have undertaken the task of preparing and training Ivy for the great event of her shifting and the ultimate combat that she must face with the psycho murderer Sage who has taken over part of her body and soul. I have read and continue to read the work of this author and she has never disappointed. But, with this one, I sincerely feel that she has topped them all as it is filled with teenage love, Shifter and Supernatural abilities and action, the ins and outs faced by a Supernatural sister to a normal human one, the abuse suffered at the hands of total a...holes and a variety of twists and turns that leave the reader speechless. I am only sorry that I cannot rate this book above the maximum 5 Stars allowed.
I don't usually read books with demons or vampires in them but I really enjoyed this story. Fay was certainly a different take on vampires. The demon presentation was also, I think, truly unique. I read this series all the way to the end in one go. For me that's unusual, I usually take a break and read another book before finishing the series.
Oh, my heart! This story had me laughing, gasping, swooning, and crying! I love the HEA so much and can see so much more for the side characters in the future. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!
This was a really good read. There was romance everywhere. The main characters have an off again/on again relationship. Evil lurks in every corner of this huge school.
I would recommend this book to anyone who dreams of finding their fated mate ....or soulmate.
I liked everything about this book, there is nothing I disliked. I would recommend this book to everyone. It has mystery, romance, without being vulgar, it has a good story line, all around good read. Thank you.
