Shelbie just moved in to Bear’s apartment building with her baby, Maisie. As a single Mom abandoned by her baby daddy, Shelbie struggles to make ends meet.
Bear is a fighter for the Alpha Riders MC. He’s taken notice of Shelbie, but with him raising his two teenage brothers, and Shelbie a single Mom, he’s afraid that their baggage might be too much.
When Justin, Shelbie’s bd comes back, Bear has to fight him for his new relationship.
I enjoyed this story, but I feel like there were two things missing; (1) Shelbie told Bear she loved him and he never said it back, and (2) Shelbie never included Carlos and Pedro as family. Part of Carlos’ issues were because he felt his brother would leave him behind for his new family with Shelbie. It would’ve been nice to see them as a family unit, showing both him and Pedro the family love they deserved.
Other than those issues, I enjoyed my time spent in Bear’s world. I loved the Mexican food!!! Bear makes me want to eat at his house so bad! I have trouble finding a decent tamale lady in my town, and Bear is cooking up that deliciousness every damn Sunday!

Single mom Shelby (h) and her baby, Maisie, move into the apartment complex where Bear (H), cage fighter for Alpha Riders MC, raises his teen brothers. She’s leery of getting involved after being let down by her ex, but Bear’s care and protectiveness have her falling for him. Bear and the MC have not trouble stepping up to help Shelby when her past shows up. Hot and steamy MC quickie with some fight violence.

She wasn't looking for a relationship and neither was he, but they've found each other and don't want to let go.
Commentary: I liked this story; the one thing that seemed unreasonable to me was having these underground fights and Justin, the ex, who by all accounts was not involved in fighting before, believed that he could show up to an underground fight club with an MC and win and that his ex-girlfriend that he treated badly would just take him back. I can't fathom why Bear would even be worried in the least. Still, it was a sweet story, and I enjoyed seeing the actual interaction with the teenage brothers realistically with Bear just exasperated, knowing that he's not their father but might as well be and everything that comes with that.

A Tough Teddy Bear
Bear is a cage fighter for his club the Alpha Raiders MC and is trying to raise his teenage brothers on his own. Shelby has just moved in next door to the dark and dangerous man who has come to her rescue numerous times from the small things like helping her calm her daughter, Maisie, to coming to her rescue with her ex.
This was a quick, hot MC read that made it a one sit read for me.

I fell in love with Audrey Bell and her writing style with her Dirty December series so when I saw that there was another series she had out there, I knew I had to jump on it!
This new series is about the men in a MC in California. This particular story is the 4th book in the series (but they can all be read as standalones) and follows Bear, a member of the Alpha Rider MC known for being able to hold his own in a cage fight, and Shelby, new mother who has just been abandoned by her child's father and is out trying to survive with her 8 month old daughter. Neither expected to find the other- but that is what makes these stories so great!
While these stories can fall under the novella category with how short they are, you never feel like you are rushed or missing anything with Audrey's writing! She develops her MC's, as well as her supporting characters, so thoroughly that you get all of the background you would find in a full length romance novel without it being one. You also are never lacking in conflict or spice, and that certainly holds true for this story. Both of our MC's have come from broken pasts and it is great to not only get glimpses of those throughout, but to see the struggle both go through in an attempt to not only mend the broken parts of themselves, but to open themselves up again despite knowing that heartbreak may lie around the corner.
I picked up the first 3 books in this series and can't wait to dive into them and get the rest when they come out! Another fun, easy series to read that will keep you hooked from start to finish.

Bear protective side instantly kicks in the moment he sees Shelby and so does the love that he has to give to her and her daughter. Danger threatens Shelby as her ex shows up, not only does Bear step up, but so does his MC and his real brother. I love the closeness between all the characters and the chemistry the explodes off the pages.

I loved Bear Book 4 of Alpha Riders MC. I had not read the prior books but now I will. Bear is a fighter and protector. Meeting Shelby he know is she needs protecting but his feelings are more. As they spend time together Bear gets to know Shelby and her daughter, when her ex comes back he will do anything to keep them safe and thanks to his MC brothers, she will be taken care of when drama with his neither arises. This is a sweet story and I loved the characters. I would definitely recommend this book and I’m going to read the first 3 now.

This short story is the first from this series that I have read and I loved getting to know all the characters and seeing all the different relationships at play. I believed in the connection and chemistry between Bear and Shelby, together they made me smile. I liked how they looked past things to who the other really was and supported and accepted each other. Bear was so much more than a cage fight and a MC member, he was strong, dependable, loving, caring, thoughtful, protective and such a lovely person, I was cheering him on from the start.

Bear and Maisey will touch your heart and have you cheering for them to get their chance for happiness. Bear became both big brother and father figure for his brothers when their parents deserted them. Maisey was in a bind of her own when her ex abandoned her and their daughter. They connect when he helps her bring her daughter into her apartment and it start a journey between them. Their twist and turns strengthens their relationship especially when her ex come back making waves. Will Bear and his MC brothers keep Maisey and her daughter safe?

Bear might be one of my favorite MMC in this series. Bear takes care of his brothers Carlos and Pedro and has for the last 14 years. He hasn’t dated or been with anyone since he was a teen. Shelby just moved into Bear’s apartment complex with her infant, Maisie. Shelby’s ex, Justin is a piece of work and I love how Bear protects her at all costs. The way Maisie looks at Bear warmed my heart. I absolutely LOVE the MC brotherhood these guys have going on. They protect each other and anyone else that they care about. I loved everything about this novella! It’s definitely my favorite of the series and here I thought nothing could beat Brewer or Crow’s stories.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. Shelby finds herself in a tough situation with her baby girl. Bear is a shock to her in many ways. He gives her a feeling of safety regardless of appearances. These three have an instant connection. There are areas of conflict that come from both sides in the story. The brothers brought their own personalities and contributed to the overall importance of family. I enjoyed this short love story. All of the characters were well done. My only complaint was that I wished it was longer

Bear Calderon and Shelby's romance was truly the best of the stories I have read in this series- so far! (I have 5 stories left to go and have enjoyed each of the first four stories in the series!) Truly loved Bear and his many kindnesses to Shelby! My only wish was that it had been longer! However, at the end of this story I see there is an additional Short story with Bear and Shelby! Momentarily I am off to read more of these two characters! Highly-strongly recommend Bear and Shelby's story to everyone!

Bear is just that, a soft teddy bear of a man. Shelby struck gold when she meets him. The sweetness of Bear leaves you sighing. A band of club brothers that have his back is just amazing. Left me with a huge smile as I finished the book.

Lessons Learned ~
I enjoyed reading this story, even if was a bit sad. She had problems with her ex, but her neighbor treated her better than her ex. Talk about a sad eye opener, but it was what she needed to learn. I liked that his club had his back, and his youngest brother was awesome. I loved how things worked out in the end, just like they were meant.

Amazing Alpha &Single Mom!
Loved the tenderness of Bear, a definite alpha, with his new neighbor and her baby! Also his protective nature with his tow younger brothers who he's had to raise for the past fourteen years. Totally hot and steamy short romance. Love Audrey Bell's writing.

This was so sweet! Shelby is a single mom running from her ex, and Bear is a cage fighting biker with a heart of gold. I love their story!

Shelby and her daughter were abandoned by her ex when she had to move into Bear’s apartment complex. She is really leery of men, especially big men, but her daughter, Maisie takes to Bear right away. Bear has many roles- MC brother, cage fighter, guardian to his brothers and overall protector. When Shelby’s ex shows up trying to cause trouble, Bear goes all alpha protective over her. Will she be scared of Bear?
