These book is sweet, hot, dark, mysterious, full of secrets...
Maira run to find herself again...
Arav chasing the past, full of anguish and full of dark secrets...
The chemistry between them is obvious.

A lot of twists and turns.
Rough and hard sex.
I got so caught up in the story, it was hard to stop reading without finding out how they are connected.
As the story goes we begin to connect the dots.

Only one thing left unrevealed, I guess/hope it's coming another book, it's the story of Sasha and Keith.
Maira wanted to know the secret of her friend but never does...

The heroine: Maira - she has come to the mountains in Manali to spend some time alone to heal herself. She has had a turbulent life the past few years and wants overcome her social anxiety issues. She also is trying to figure out what to do with her life because the life she wants isn’t the life her parents expect for her.

The Hero: Arav - he lost his six month old son and has sworn retribution. A year and a half later, he rents a cabin in Manali to be alone and for reasons only he knows. He wants to avenge his son’s life and that is all he has been living for.

“It is said that the need for revenge only feeds the fire inside you for the sweet taste of victory at the end, for righting the wrong, but never the peace you’re aching for nor the healing of your wounds.”

The Story: When Maira arrives at the cabin she booked for a few months, she finds it already occupied with a surly man in just jeans with an eight pack of tight abs and an alpha attitude. They call the company who rented out the cabin only to find that it has been double booked and there are no other cabins available.

Maira figures from Arav’s broody alpha nature, he likes his privacy so she figures if she can push him and invade his privacy enough, he will leave voluntarily. So she pushes his buttons by annoying him as much as she possibly can, though he can see what she is doing and doesn’t fall for her machinations.

I enjoyed the explosive chemistry between Arav and Maira, there is a bunch of heat generated whenever they are in the same room with each other. Arav has some deliciously dirty thoughts about what he would like to do to Maira and she has some similar thoughts when she looks at him and his muscular body.

Arav is dark and dangerous as well as very mysterious, which heightens the steaminess between him and Maira. He craves her submission and she gets off on his dominance and the fear he creates in her. It is all very titillating and I loved it.

“I knew she didn’t even realize that fear turns her on. It’s her kink. Her ultimate downfall. Because men like me will never miss the chance to feed off of it.”

The storylines were intriguing and I liked the book quite a bit. There are some grammatical mistakes here and there that are a bit distracting, though not enough to detract from my enjoyment of the story.

V Simran has written a beautiful story about love and loss, revenge and hidden agendas. Arav and Maira have a complicated meeting and relationship. There are so many secrets and omissions, lies and deceitful actions that I wanted to shake the characters and tell them to communicate more.
Wicked Fate has tragic and extremely sad moments, but also moments of hope, tenderness and forgiveness.
This author has vastly blossomed and improved from their debut album and I look forward to seeing the growth continue.

I had a feeling that this book was going to be good but I didn't know that it would be THAT good. This is easily one of my top reads for this year and no I'm not exaggerating.

The plot of this story gripped me from the first moment I started reading it. Drama, secrets, revenge, crazy characters, steam through the roof.. what's not to like?

The two main characters are Arav and Maira. They meet when they have to share a cabin in the woods. Of course this is something neither of them wanted but the employee double-booked the house without them knowing so now their only option is to share it.

These two? I believe in annoyed at first sight.
From the first moment their cohabitation is not easy. Far from it actually. Maira wants him to leave from the house so she does everything she can think just to annoy him, but Arav..doesn't give a fuck. He's so domineering that soon Maira's little games turn against her. Trust me.. she's not ready for what's coming 🥵

Arav is in that house for a reason. He is not just vacationing or something. He is looking for information about his son's murder. He is so obsessed with this. He wants revenge. And when he finds out that Maira is somehow linked with that part of his life..he sees red. He is SO going to break her.

Arav. To say that he is intense would be too little. He is dark. Obsessive. Domineering. Twisted.
He has no ethics and he will take what he wants even if he has to force you.
He is the kind of the character who will make you curse. Who will piss you off with his attitude. Who will test your triggers.

He is also the man who will finger fuck you in the woods against a tree. Force anal on you. Choke you with his cock and then with his hands just to make sure you got his point. Then fuck you like an animal but not let you cum even if you beg. Spank you until you cry your heart out. See why describing him intense is not enough? He's a fucking psycho.

Take all the above as a warning. This is a dark book. If you can handle triggers then go for it. This hero is not your prince charming and if you're looking for him.. you're in the wrong place.

Having read Ms.Simran's debut last year i couldn't wait for more from her! The moment this book was announced i added it to my TBR List right away. I dived into it as soon as i could and got pulled into Wicked Fate so quickly. I really enjoyed it!

Maira and Arav's journey kept me glued to my kindle from beginning to end! From the moment these two were brought into each other's lives, I wasn't sure what all to expect going into their story and I really liked how it kept me on my toes. Their story wasn't easy and the realness that poured from these two got to me. The heat between them was all kinds of blushworthy.

I was so glad that i got to dig into both Maira and Arav's minds. You get to see two characters tackle not only pain, but the truths in their hearts as well.

With Wicked Fate, Ms.Simran has created a great read that made me feel SO much! I couldn't put it down until i reached the end. I can't wait for more from this author! Definitely check this story out! ❤️

What an emotional journey Maira and Arav’s story was! Right from the very beginning I was hooked on these two. They pulled me into their lives, frustrated me at times, but had me completely gushing with love for the both of them. They took me on an emotional rollercoaster ride that was filled with pain, heartache passion and love.

Really well written story that tugged on my heartstrings, had me riveted to my seat and also had my panties melting from all of the insanely steamy moments Maira and Arav share.

I loved it and can’t wait to see what this amazing author brings us next!

1) the smut was good and that was the only redeeming quality of this book if you ask me.

This felt like someone took a perfectly fine contemporary romance and tried to stuff it with all possible dark romance cliche's ( and bad ones at that). There was the typical body betraying syndrome, a really weak willed, spineless heroine and a stupid reason for the bad stuff that happened which didn't even pan out in the end.

This book was intense, emotional, and gripped me from page one. I didn’t know what to expect with Maira and Arav because they both held secrets that somehow involved the other even though they were complete strangers. Arav has one thing on his mind and that was revenge. His whole world shattered the day he lost his son and the love he had for him was so amazing because not everyone would be that way, but he was. It showed a softer side to him even though he masked it well under his anger and pain. Maira needed an escape because things in her life was flipped upside down, but we don’t know the extent of it and Arav seems to think she is connected to the person he hates the most. With these two sharing a house can they survive each other’s secrets or will they drag them down? There were many different twists, turns that were unexpected but it kept me intrigued and the steamy moments were very hot they could burn the pages. I’m still a tad confused about Keith and Sasha’s relationship and the animosity Arav had towards them because it seems like they have some secrets of their own hiding in plain sight. This is the first time I have read this author’s work and it was amazing because it held hope, passion, suspense, and redemption.

This story took me by surprise and what a wonderful rollercoaster of a surprise.

I felt instantly in love to V's writing style, the suspense, heat, twists and turns made me this journey so intriguing.

The story grabs you from the first line, you can feel the sadness, anger, loss and grief and you can understand the need for vengeance ( ps: i wanted it )

So this story brings with a mixed booking brings Maira to Arav's door steps.. or precisely to her inevitable fate.
She was such a strong heroine and at time I wanted Arav to just let go, to open his eyes. But being the obsessive, intense, grieving human being he was... He was a man on a mission.
This book was intense, twisted and worth every single second.

A dark contemporary romance with an Enemies to lovers and forced proximity trope. The snowy mountain backdrop added to the suspense elements in Wicked Fate.

Wicked Fate was steamy read and follows Arav and Maira in this angsty but heartfelt story of love and forgiveness. There was some very sad and sincere moments to this story and Arav and Maira had a lot to overcome on the path of their blossoming romance. There was so much loss and tragedy that made me cry for them, but there was hope and courage too and I would highly recommend this book to everybody. I can't wait to see what comes next from this author.

Wowsa does this arthur deliver the angst up in here just damn. I swear at some point as I was reading it I was thinking girl why you want to poke that bear😂 and holy moley batman those hot af sex scenes🔥🥵next level hotness.

I absolutely loved this story it wasn't quiet what I was expecting it was so much more hell I read this in a couple of hours as I couldn't put it down. There are some triggers in here so heed the warnings this isn't as dark as this arthur normally writes, but it does walk that fine line of grey very well.

So, to say this book is going to be my guilty pleasure is an understatement, this book had it all.

A scenic but deathly beauty, cryptic situations and mysterious people with so much tension and chemistry. I loved it , it was fast paced and not a slow burn which i really needed to read so it hit the right spot for me 😉👀


A jealous man with a vendetta and woman running from her darkness, add a forced proximity and fireworks are gonna happen and the author delivered it.


The author has only improved and i am hoping to read more stories from her.

Wow just wow ! I’m completely blown away. This story was very emotional, overwhelming at times but with many beautiful moments.

Arav and Maira meet in a special situation, they are forced to live together. They get to know each other a little better, despite the very mysterious side of Arav.

No spoilers from me, but know that there will be a lot of chemestry between the two characters.

Beautiful story well written, the author did a really good job with this book.

I feel bad for leaving a bad review because the author will probably recognize me from the book group we're both members of, but I was mad throughout this entire book.

Guys, I am so tired of pathetic heroines that have no self-respect or self-worth. I am tired of reading about clenching thighs, throbbing pussies, gushing juices, and hard nipples that are somehow visible through bra padding. I am tired of reading about heroines that are stupidly devoted to the hero, even though he's a raging dick (ha) and has the personality of a pebble, just because he is super hot and the sex is hot. The author almost gave me what I was looking for at the end of the book, but not quite so because the heroine rambled on and on about missing the hero.

I'm surprised I made it through this book because I have little patience—and a short attention span—when it comes to books these days. There was an insta-lust dynamic at the start of the book, and the heroine was missing the hero around page 59, even though I felt like I didn't know the characters well and they definitely didn't have good enough chemistry or a connection for that absurdity. There was hardly any build up or character development. I also didn't think the book was dark. There was just a lot of choking, lol. Plot-wise, it wasn't hard to follow. I figured things out pretty early on, so I found myself reading more and more, hoping to get something shocking.

I don't usually talk about an author's actual writing because I will always appreciate the effort, but the author's writing was a little odd; there were grammatical errors, and the sentence structures and word choices made me pause a few times. Maybe English isn't their first language?

Y’all I tried I really did but I was literally ready to quit this book 5 pages in. But I’m like hey lemme give it a shot like let’s keep going and it just gets worse. The main guy character is a fucking weirdo. Like normal people literally do not speak like he does. It makes it so hard to get into or believe the story when the characters don’t behave in a way that any human being would. Like who meets a woman and goes she’s my prey like she keeps tempting me with her yoga poses and I’m gonna make her obey. Like??? And don’t get me wrong I like dark romance stuff and I’ll eat that shit up but you can’t go immediately page 10 and have the guy just being a weirdo and expect like anyone to enjoy that. Like I’m sorry but I couldn’t do it. Also the writing was just not good like a ton of showing, very juvenile dialgoue and descriptions. Just very hard to get through. I’ll just didn’t like the female main character like from literally page one what is this girl go on a whole rant because her taxi cab driver talked to her. Like I get it when sometimes you just don’t wanna talk to like your Uber driver or the taxi driver but the way she phrases it is like this person has committed some sort of mortal sin like who gives a fuck. Just the writing makes me want to fight someone and I’m like I can’t put myself through this so dnf. Here’s some samples for y’all though,

“Yoga has helped me a lot with my anxiety ever since I started doing it last year when it was getting hard for me to get out of bed. I had put on a little weight, which made me feel the fattest girl in the world—especially when everyone around me started pointing it out. It only made me more depressed, but I have come a long way since then.”

“She makes me feel… alive. Like I can finally breathe. And I hate it. So before she can tame the darkness in me, I would rather break her first.” (They have had one conversation)

So yeah this wasn’t for me, it felt more like a Wattpad rough draft tbh

Two strangers seeking harmony, truth, and revenge whilst trying to also find themselves via an isolated holiday in a woodland cabin; find themselves having to spend the entire time together due to the cabin being double booked

Arva suffering the loss of his son, Maira also coming to terms with the loss of a sibling find closure in each other’s darkest secrets and grieve together through this process. However, as they grieve together their pasts cross, and you find out two strangers actually are connected as Maira’s sister (fiancé to Arva) killed Arvas son.

There are some spicy moments throughout the book between the two main characters which lean towards the dominance and dark side of BDSM. Arva is extremely dominant and overpowering and treats Maira with humiliation, degradation and embarrassment. There are also some moments of unconsented sex for Arvas pleasure only (forced anal sex).

Overall, the book is an easy read, but it has a disappointing ending, and I feel that the last four chapters were extremely rushed. With the dark dynamic of Arva character and his means of grief; I’m surprised with a “happy ever after”ending. The plot twists are easy to also spot throughout the book. Some grammar errors but that doesn’t detract from the story itself. Some humour and relatable content too which makes it a good fast paced book to read.

I could not get into this book it took we so long to finish. Also there is so much happening and so little at the same time. The male main characters is truly unrealistic.
