[Tales Untangled]

I received an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Certainly Will Die is a fun book—something like James Bond but with a female protagonist who has real friends and feelings. I would call this romantic suspense with a strong dose of humor. If I'm laughing through a book, I'm always happy.

The story clips along quickly from one escapade to the next. Andy can't resist coming when Christiaan calls, even though he's emotionally unavailable, a liar, sneaky, and secretive. He's also gorgeous, honorable, and in trouble.

Then there's Spencer (because we can't call him Peter), who is charming, smart, handsome, and AVAILABLE! He's totally into Andy, and she wonders if she should stop resisting his none-too-subtle overtures.

This book kept a smile on my face the entire time. It's fun and light-hearted (even when lives are at stake). It's got that glamorous, over-the-top feel that is a blast to delve into. Certainly Will Die is the type of book I read for pure escapism.

I will definitely read the next in the series (and pick up the one I already missed).

Andy promised herself to leave the world of crime but investigations are too tempting for Andy to refuse, so she accepts Christiaan's ask for help. Amidst the mystery, there is a battle of romance between the three. Andy likes Christiaan, but he's a reserved individual. She likes Spencer, and he shows he feels the same way. But unknown to Andy, Christiaan does like Andy a lot. Christiaan and Spencer make a bet to see who can get Andy to kiss them first. There are a lot of character perspectives, so the story jumps back and forth. This does help readers view the story from various point of views, but the story also goes back and forth in the timeline. This is not a casual read.

Andy still yearns for Christiaan even though it hasn't worked out for them. Peter wants Andy even though she is still not over Christiann. The three of them travel through Europe and search for clues in a kidnapping while dealing with the love triangle...

A terrific mystery with surprising twists. I like the adventures. too. Andy is like a female James Bond... I like the romance too. A terrific combination. The characters are interesting and fun. A quick fun read.
