Nightstand Notes: and other beginnings

Rate this book
Nightstand Notes and other beginnings is a collection of short poems (micro-poems) that touch on a myriad of love, loss, being a poet, and my philosophical take on my endless confusion with life. It's serious, funny, thoughtful and everyone will find a poem or two they can relate to.

I finished this book and stared at the front cover for a long time, trying to figure out how to put words to my feelings about his poetry. Jim is my friend, and I know him in real life. He’s part of my Florida life which I miss so much, and his poetry reminds me of that life I once knew. His poetry never gets old to me. I turn each page waiting and expecting a gem. Some of his poems are the best things I’ve ever heard and read, and I just want to claim them, hold them, keep them all to myself.
