Finding true love with a Prince
I’ve read several of the previous books about the Pickle family, and have loved each one. This one was great, about a simple deli worker finding her Prince. JJ Knight has done a wonderful job of writing about a couple so in love, that they defy all obstacles placed in front of them.
Leopold is Prince of Avalonia, but has run away to sow his wild oats, before he is forced to marry. He has met with some unscrupulous women, and has been all over the internet. He runs into Grammy’s deli, while hiding from the paparazzi, and Sunny helps him. Immediately he is enamored of her mind, and then her personality, and beauty. He returns to ask her to marry him, and talks her into it.
Sunny is a member of the Pickle family, and works at the deli, living a lonely, single life. She is surprised when Leopold asks for her hand, but she agrees to marry him. When she and Grammy go to pack her things, she has second thought, but eventually she goes with him to his home country.
While in Avalonia, Sunny meets with resistance, from the royal couple, and some of the guards. Her life is made difficult, but Leopold is always there to comfort her, by showing her how much he has fallen for her. The King forces Leopold to meet with the Princesses, that he had chosen for him, and Sunny experiences so many insecurities, and misunderstandings, she runs away, and meets her family at the airport. She tells them the whole story, about what she has been through, and they rally together, to help her. Sunny realizes that she never voiced her insecurities to Leopold, and returns to confront him. Meanwhile, Leopold has abandoned the Kings chosen Princess at the altar. With the help of his sisters, they escape, and he reunites with Sunny. The wedding finally happens in an unusual manner, and Leopold and Sunny finally reach their HEA. The books ends in a beautiful epilogue, and I highly recommend this book.
