The Magic Within Us

Rate this book
What do you get when you combine a group of witches, a couple of cats, and a gift shop full of items looking for homes, and add some coffee to the mix for good measure?Pure magic.Step into Treasure Trove, where you can find nearly anything if you look long enough, including a cursed book, charmed statues and objects, long lost friends and family, and even a couple of ghosts.Whether the magic comes from within our own hearts, fueled by what we love, desire or fear, or whether it comes from the object itself…that’s for you to judge. At what point does a person’s need or desperation take a simple object and imbue it with something else? At what point does love, hatred, fear or joy transform something simple into more than it originally was?Fair warning before entering Treasure What you bring in and what you take out are likely to be related. Some people find what they are looking for; some find what they need; some find what they want; others find what they deserve. What will YOU find?

Author, wife, mom, sister, cat mom - and witch. I live in a rural area of York, PA. I live next door to one of my sisters, and spend lots of time at my husband's rehearsals (he's a musician). In what seems like a previous life, I was an animator, a graphic artist and a video editor in a TV studio.

I love reading; love different genres. Most of my writing will likely skew to the supernatural - I guess that's how my mind is wired! Still, with the release of "Song of the Ancients," my Sci-Fi debut, I hope to prove that I can write other genres!

Favorite authors: Marion Zimmer Bradley, Ursula K. LeGuin, Deborah Harkness, Molly Harper, PC Cast, Kathleen McGowan and Chloe Neill. And in the non-fiction arena, anything by Graham Hancock!

So magical

I don’t remember getting this book but it appeared on my Kindle so I started reading it. I’m fascinated with magic and witches so it was right up my alley. I finished it in 2 sittings with lots of tears from all the love the characters had for each other and the knowledge that the people in our lives are supposed to be there at that time. Please, do yourself a favor and read this book. All the characters are intertwined and can be confusing but stick with it as you won’t be disappointed. Thank you for one of the best books I’ve read in a long time. ❤️❤️

Fabulous

This book and all it's short stories intertwined in the most amazing of ways. Some are light hearted and others are total tear jerkers. I absolutely loved reading this!

This book was recommended to me by the author's cousin, who is also in my book club. I am so happy she did. What a beautiful and well written collection of short stories that all came "full circle" in the end. Every character touched me in some way. The shop and shopkeeper remind me of the shops and coffee houses I have traveled to in Salem, MA and Jim Thorpe, PA. It was also awesome to read about the amazing breakfast at the Buttery Biscuit in Williamsport, PA, where my son lived for two years. The book was just a feel good fun ride. I just loved this wholesome story filled with magic and fairytales.
