I generally like this author but am not into triangles. Heroine is a divorcee with a bright 7yr old son. She is attracted to a colleague and they start to get together. Just when he asks her to marry him, her ex husband comes back claiming to be a better man and wanting to get back together.
Heroine is all...he's the mother of my son...ex is all...come on baby...hero is like...what the hell, of course she will choose her ex. He's young, handsome and the father of her child.
Even though we knew who she would eventually choose based on who's POV we get, it was a bit dicey as to whether the heroine would do something stoooooopid.

DNF.
Doktor pozve sestřičku a jejího syna na víkend.
Ale není to rande.
Ona by ráda, ale musí vyprat.
Doktor má řešení – špinavé prádlo prostě vezme s sebou, včetně starých zapraných spoďárů.
Sice si skoro ani nedali pusu, ale doktor cítí, že ji musí požádat o ruku.
A ona přijme. Prostě proto.
Do toho se vrátí její ex, který lituje, že ji opustil a zanechal samotnou s děckem a slibuje, že se polepší a že chce ještě dostat šanci.
Místo toho, aby ho poslala do tmy, tak váhá a je nalomená.
Doktor pro to má pochopení, protože rodina je základ státu.
Na str. 143 se hrdinka zjeví u doktora bez snubního prstenu.
„Nechci, abys otěhotněla,“ poznamenal skoro drsně. „Ne teď, tenhle víkend. Až se to stane, chci mít jistotu že-“
Hlas se mu zlomil.
„Ale miláčku. Opravdu si myslíš, že jsem k tobě přišla z Nickovy postele?“
Normální ženská by se urazila, ale hrdinka pokračuje neohroženě dál. Chtěla s ex do postele, ale on poznal, že si u toho představuje doktora, tak ji za ním sám poslal. Ona se neodvažovala ani doufat, že ji doktor miluje, ale ex jí řekl, aby to zkusila. Bo bez něho nedokáže žít.
To si dělá čurinu.
