Petersburg was built as one of the greatest art city of the world. Czar Petro built the city by spending great deal of money and labor expecting that the city will become very famous all around the world, at least in Europe.However Petersburg became a world-wide reputed city when Dostoyevski wrote "Belye Nochi".
