The Last First Sergeant

Rate this book
From the landing at Normandy to Allied occupation after the war, US paratrooper Layton Black tells it like he experienced it. You'll laugh, you'll cry, but you won't forget these stories from the front lines of World War II. With "Blacky," you'll march in formation, crawl into foxholes, duck the bullets and listen to the conversation of everyday combat soldiers.

Excellent ! This is the most personal accounts of a farm boy from central ohio in the D-Day Invasion behind enemy lines as an 101st Screaming Eagle. I am proud to have known him.
