3rd in a series of books about teen hospital volunteers. Like the other two, the characters seem grossly underdeveloped, especially people besides the 4 main characters. Even the 4 main characters seem very shallow, as if the hospital time rules their life and the only events outside of the hospital still tie in. I maintain that these books should be one volume, not multiple small ones.
The real-life situations the author addresses in this one include: gang violence, love and loss, and the effects of poverty.
