The writing was pretty terrible, and to be honest, I really didn't like many of the people. But it is a memoir based on the life of a Brunswick, ME woman who has an affair and bares the child of a priest who once served at my hometown church (scandalous!). It was interesting to read about something that happened so close to town, and it was especially interesting to have an inside look at the Church's reaction to something like this. A good beach read.
