Chaos hits Utah as a large earthquake rips the land apart. The Rogers family must escape its fury. It’s their struggle to see God’s wisdom in the trial of the Saints. Dane Rogers lies in a coma induced by the deadly bacteria unleashed in his hand by the chip. In his deep sleep he is introduced to the Spirit World and the reality of God’s existence is unveiled. In the world of light he learns of the eternal nature of God, the importance of the plan of salvation, preparations of the world by both the living and the dead for the second coming of Christ. He also learns that this life is only a moment in time but it is in that moment that we define ourselves and our futures. Through the Rogers family’s difficulties they become stronger, realizing their true blessings on earth lie in each other.

This series is about the last days. Giving a very interest protrail of the last days making you think about your need to perpare for these days. Like the Work and the glory she has put together a fictional family and put them into the middle of the facts about about what is coming. allow you to put yourself into the place of the family. however the best part is the notes and references at the end of each chapter.

I read this book about two weeks ago and now I'm obsessed with this series. Now, besides just being a fun series, I believe she's come up with some well researched and possible future scenarios which have really made me think about how prepared or not prepared I am both temporally and spiritually for the calamities which are prophesied to occur before the second coming of Christ. I rate books a 5 star when they change me and this one has definitely changed me. I need to prepare!

This one was difficult to put down - I struggled at the beginning of the series, but now I am really caught up into it. I really love how the author has described the various degrees of heaven and what we learn there and what we might be doing - it is also interesting to see the contrast of how Satan is alive and doing well as he blinds people regarding pride, power, luxury and the vain things of the world and even knowing they are selling their soul to the devil doesn't stop them - oh the flaxen cord that binds them. It has helped me to be more alert to those things around me that try to lead you off the straight and narrow path - I really enjoy the scriptural references, the quotes from the prophets and even the medical and governmental activities that are possible. We really need to be prepare for the catastrophes that are ahead of us. Really enjoyed this book.

Cry, laugh, get educated and entertained! Amazing book series, people who fault a visionary work for a few typos are missing the point...there is no other contender for "last days" LDS historical fiction. Writing about the "end days" AND keeping in line with scriptures and latter day prophecy in NO EASY TASK! Hurrah for Wendie L. Edwards! I have read a lot of fiction and fantasy novels and this IS very good. Wendy keeps it interesting like J.K., but while sharing information that is much more relevant than Hogwarts! Wendie has done the hard research for you, and also gives it to you in copious footnotes if you don't trust her. This is the kind of information that may lead to your temporal and spiritual survival in the near future, AND it is entertaining...what could be more worth your reading time than that?

IT was interesting..it is getting easier to distinguish this from the "left behind" series and the focus on a specific family. the author takes some daring freedoms to describe premortal life, plus the co-existence of a heavenly world. The belief is common, but the presentation i see as daring. some may say sacraligious, but i think is well enough thought out. i have been wondering how the anti-christ might be addressed and the beginnings of that are starting to show through in this 3rd installment of the series

This has been a great series so far. This is book 3 of...many. It is an LDS version of the end-of-days. The story moves along quickly with a lot of doctrinal references. I'm on to the next...!

One of the worse series I have read. There definitely needs better proof reading and characters that a reader can identify with before it is good.

I'm incredibly impressed with the author's research. The footnotes are almost the best part!
Hopeful and educational.
