Good overview of skin and natural skin care. Sometimes though I felt some of content left me with more questions than answers. Sometimes skin conditions were referenced in the text but weren't actually discussed in detail later that I would have liked more info on. And some of the dietary stuff felt a bit dated to me.
But still it did enhance my understanding a bit of skin and differing conditions, so certainly worth a read.
All the recipes in here for do-it-yourself facial products are so complicated. You're encouraged to grow your own organic herbs. Most of the recipes contain lots of ingredients like essential oils and it has to be combined with four or five other oils. Just seems too expensive and complicated if I'm going to go to whole foods and buy all these things then I have to mix them up? I've read other books that have simpler DIY recipes for facial products.
