A funny but sad story of a 30-year-old guy who would rather play softball than grow up and who would rather have a fulfilling career that doesn't actually require work rather than an ordinary job that does. Both of which I can relate to. Docked one star because subsequent rereadings don't hold up quite as well as, say, "East of Eden".
