I’ve been reading steamy romance novels since elementary school when I would “borrow” my mother’s books. Discovered the key to her locked cabinet in high school and gained access to her stash of good books and was hooked ever since.

I stumbled upon alien erotica novels early in the pandemic, and I honestly hadn’t known non-cheesy ones were out there. I always assumed they would be stupid. But bored with the never-ending sameness, I happened upon one with a hot alien cover and started reading.

As they say, the rest is history. And here I am, writing alien erotica….

This was a quick and fun story that I read in between my other books. I needed and wanted something fast and cute and this one gave me that. Nothing too deep, but something to entertain me and keep me interested.

This is book two in the series and I enjoyed it enough to want to go back and read book one sometime, and also the others in the series.

Cherise is determined to marry an alien and through her celebrity sister gets picked for the Bolan Alien Love Games. Brix, one of the contestants, is confident he will triumph, as the game is called Tasty Bake, and Brix is a gallaxy-reknowned chef. Dhavoi, Brix's chief competitor, is just as confident but just as quickly fails and is eliminated. Contestant number three is no competition at all. The contest is to be filmed for galaxy-wide distribution.

There is a unique soulmate bond that occurs with Bolans, called the Bara. When Brix first sees Cherise entering the stage set, the Bara appears as a mutual glow around each of them, and Brix feels confident he's found his soulmate. In order to confirm his feelings, he whisks Cherise away from the filming and tells the producers they'll just have to hold off the wedding and conclusion of the show.

Are Brix and Cherise truly Bara soulmates? Only time spent together will give that answer, and Cherise will learn a lot about Bolan courtship and intimate relations within a brief two-day span.

When Cherise saw how happy her best friend was when she found her mate on Alien Love Games, she decided that she would do whatever it takes to be a contestant. She pulls all the strings that she can including involving her twin sister, the famous sister. Her efforts worked and she finds herself on the Bolan Space Station waiting for her game to start. She chose a baking competition since she loves food so much. The organizers of the game love the idea of her sister so much that they demand that she come to the station with Cherise. They even make her a judge for the baking competition. Cherise can't believe her twin will be the one to pick her husband.

Brix is a famous chef on Bolan but his parents want him to settle down with a family. They sign him up for the Alien Love Games. He doesn't protest too much because he is starting to feel the pull to mate and have children. He thought that he could keep it all business until he met Cherise. Now he dreams of dominating her in bed and filling her with babies. Surely as a famous chef, he should win the contest easily.

Cherise, the female human lead, knows she wants an alien husband and Dom. Brix, the male alien lead, is in competition for a bride because his parents entered him but he’s not averse because he’s been working so much he hasn’t had time to find one. When they meet, their fated mate bond drops into place and they escape to finalise the bond. But Brix wants to make sure Cherise really wants all he is and has to offer.

This short story is dual POV, well written, and a highly erotic, instalust romance. I enjoyed that Cherise was willing to push the boundaries to find what she needed and that Brix was willing to facilitate meeting her needs. I appreciated that their mutual kinks were so complementary. I also appreciated the secondary character interactions.

If you have read book 1 then you know what is going on in book 2. If you haven't read book 1 go back and read it. No you don't have to, but it would help some.

Now, this one had Cherise, the bff to the girl in the first book and Brix the bff to the male in the first book (see why i said go read the first book). So the premise of this is still the same, but this time Brix is baking for Cherise and she had a very submissive side and a alien toy of the month club subscription ! This one was spicier than the last , if that can be possible. Over all they find each other and they have sexy time. Lots of sexy time.....Again just like the first book, read it. You will love it.

Brix joins a contest to find a companion/wife. Brix is not expecting to find his mate or even love, just a partner, whom at least, likes him and has no problem with his dominant ways in the bedroom. Cherise has fantasies about Alien men and their prowess. Cherise finds out about the contest, through a little manipulation, becomes the contestant.

Short, steamy instalove… HEA. Overall The story was okay, there were times Cherise was annoying, her inner dialogue was immature and a little ridiculous. Brix played the alpha role well, he knew what he wanted and made it known no one would get in his way.

I found this book was really enjoyable, it’s about a human female by the name of Cherise, and an alien male named Brix. Cherise has entered into an alien love games to win her future husband after she became obsessed with aliens when her best friend married one. When she finds out that the games are rigged isn’t as happy as she thought she would be, when she finally meets all the contestants, then the Bara which is equivalent to fates decision, changes the game and Brix and Cherise fall instantly in love. Hopefully they live happily ever after.

Enjoyable story that is about Cherise and Brix. Cherise applied for the show using her sister a famous singer Lyra as an interest. Being accepted Cherise is second fiddle and all the decisions to pick her mate fall to her sister. Cherise chose a cooking contest. Brix runs a successful restaurant and is looking to open one on Earth so he's gun-ho to win especially when he meets her during the contest and discovers she's his mate and goes into the Bara. What occurs is a steamy romantic read with likable characters in this free copy I received and volunteer to read and review.

To say I loved this is such an understatement!! I'm obsessed with this series so far and I'm so excited to dive into the next book! This just rubbed me in all the right ways. I love the "daddy", "good girl", "sir", and breeding elements! I was not prepared for that and it took me by surprise. I was sucked into this book and it didn't let me go until I finished. I love Kyra Keys work and I'm sure I'll read everything she's written that I can buy. She is a top favorite author for me and this book was another 5 stars from me!

Ok as a quick read, I guess...DNF, 'though.

Earth girl really wants to marry an alien. Earth girl has superstar sister. Earth girl uses superstar sister to help her get a spot on a "marry the alien" cooking game show that is rigged.

Earth girl meets alien "soul mate" on the show and sex commences.

Not sure what happened after that as I gave up. There was nothing interesting about any of these characters, and the same as no world-building. Shallow characters and plot; perfect if that's what you are looking for.

There is so much to love about this book and this series that it's hard to choose where to start. Cherise wants to marry an alien, so when she works out her opportunity to be on the alien love show, she takes it. Steamy to the max, Ms. Keys has kicked it up a notch here. I would love to read more about the couples after the wedding too.

Chocolate Chips For The Win

Kyra Keys really writes cute and sexy quick reads. This one was better than her first book I read. There is a lot of sexy times and dirty talk with a decent storyline as well. The characters are interesting, the dialogue will make you blush. BDSM is not really my thing but this was more tame than I expected. It really is a quick read which is the only thing I dislike.

This was a fun read. If you're looking for heavy plot, though, this is not for you. It was fun, and funny in some places, but the plot is non-existent. In fact, this story went so quickly from "we have a problem" to "nope, no problem here" that I thought I'd missed a page. But, the characters were fun, the writing was good, and, like I said, if you're looking for a quick, fun, spicy read, then this is perfect.

This is my first time reading a book by Kyra Keys. The book has a nice “tongue in cheek” title - Tasty Bake makes me think of tiny doll sized ovens….but I digress.

The setting is a Game/Reality show set on Bolan Space Station where three Bolan males will compete in a baking contest for them to win Cherise’s hand in marriage. The Bolan males are Brix, Dhavoi and a third unnamed Bolan male contestant.

Cherise is the lovely curvy human woman that was selected for the show. There is some backstory to how she was chosen. You’ll need to read the story to find out.

The story is straight to the point- which male gets to marry Cherise? Brix is a baker at heart but a talented chef in real life. Dhavoi is his best friend who teases him with snarky comments and isn’t a baker at all. The third Bolan contestant is a mystery and unnamed, which I thought was funny and reminiscent of the doomed “Red Shirt” character that ultimately doesn’t go further in the story.

Who gets chosen by Cherise? This novella gives you a quick HEA with the promised erotic encounter. No cliff hangers, just a quickly read appetizer, if you will. I’d recommend if you want something titillating with a few laughs without a complicated plot line.

The story is a great mix of cooking and Bara.

This is a great quick story of sex and cooking. I love a Alien that cooks, even better a baker. The story’s a fun romp of a bachelorette and Bara. You need to read the story to know what Bara is. Oh and a little Bdsm doesn’t hurt either
