USA Today Bestselling Author Stephanie Berchiolly is a screenwriter and filmmaker currently living in the Seattle area.

When she’s not directing, or writing novels and screenplays, she’s spoiling her cockatiel, Dr. Sgt. Peppers McPepperton's III, rotten, providing endless jump scares for her partner, Rick, or baking wackadoo things like cakes with pies inside.

Amira, Florabelle and Star are back and the hits just keep coming. In addition to Jareth, 2 new, sexy men are entering the scene as the three friends are adapting to everything that happened in Orphic Cove. Things are not settling down yet though, as an ancient evil is stalking Florabelle while a mysterious and powerful man appears to have plans for Star. What does fate have in store for these best friends now?
This is a not to be missed read! These ladies and their friends will keep your heart racing- if not from the budding romances, then from the ever present danger that seems to be lurking around every corner!
Nonstop ride of immense satisfaction! Paranormal novel that weaves fantasy, action, romance and mystery seamlessly to provide everything anyone would ever want. Our main characters learn secrets about who they are and who they are becoming. Yes, I said characters. There are three. Throughout dangerous situations they strengthen their bonds to each other literally saving lives. This is a must READ!
The second book in Scenic Magical Midlofe Tour, Worth her Salt did not disappoint! I love how Stephanie switched between the characters, all of them and kept in line with the story all along! The new characters added flair and excitement to an already ensemble cast of characters.
If you like paranormal roller coasters with a little empathic and sympathetic range of feelings, these books are for you! I cannot wait to read the next one!
I loved this book. Florebelle has packed up her apartment and moved to Orphic Cove. She's pleased to be out of the apartment where she had bad memories of Steppen who cast a spell on her and pretended to be her fiancé. She thinks her life is going to get better, but a spell the the Seelie queen has placed on her is triggered and Jareth, in desperation, calls Florebelle's friends, Amira and Star. Amira arrives first and then Star and together they help to save her, but not without consequence. Once back home, Star is kidnapped and her friends come to her aid including Amira's friend Carter. Then Amira finds herself in trouble. This book was packed with action, twists and turns. Many secrets are revealed and the sisterhood between these three ladies grows even stronger. Can't wait to find out what the future holds for them.
A wonderful emotional rollercoaster!! Worth her Salt is the second book in the series Scenic Magical Midlife Tour. This series is a must read for those who enjoy paranormal adventure during midlife. Ms. Berchiolly has a wonderful imagination and knows how to draw her readers in. There were times I was laughing, crying, and even angry along wth the characters. Three best friends, Amira, Star, and Florebelle have a special bond that is growing even stronger as they get older. We are taken into their world to glimpse at how they must deal with paranormal issues both good and not so good. We meet other paranormal beings and learn more about their history. I am looking forward to where Ms. Berchiolly will be taking us on our next adventure.
I received this ARC from the author, this review is an honest review. In this second installment we get to learn a lot more about Florebelle two besties, Star and Amira. I love that in this book we are centered more on the other characters, to me it makes a more rounded story. We also get to meet and know Max and Carter. We come to find out the girls relation with the supernatural world and learn about some different species. We also get to see Amira' kickass lawyer side. I can't wait to see where the next book leads and all the hectic drama that unfolds. I'd definitely read this book again.
This is such an amazing and crazy ride and I love that the author gives us the POV from all the characters. The second book in the Magical Midlife Tour series brings back our 3 favorite ladies, Star, Amira & Florabelle. Ride or die besties who are there for each other through thick and thin. Secrets, mysteries, romance and new dangers, I didn't want to put this down. The author really has created some amazing characters and an exciting and magical world I can't wait to visit again!!
This book is the second in the series, but I think it’s even better than the first. I love this sassy trio of friends and especially how they drop everything and run to help each other with no questions asked. Don’t we all need friends like that?! There’s also two hot new men who’ve joined this posse and they are some dreamy additions. The story is the kind of page turner that makes it hard to go to sleep because you want to read “just a few more pages” to see what’s going to happen. Don’t resist it folks-just keep reading because it’s worth it!! Bring on the next one please!
These besties always have each other's backs and then some. Magical women who kick butt and take names while keeping each other and their partners safe. Add in some magical friends who have hidden talents ,lots of action and plenty of secrets and you have the perfect escape for a few hours. I couldn't put it down because there were so many things going on that I didn't want to miss anything. Loved it and hope to read lots more of these ladies.
Absolutely loved this book. There writing was easy to read. The story was amazing to follow. I couldn't put it down. I was so gutted when it ended. Definitely something I'll keep going back to. The characters was so well written I felt like I had known them forever
This is the second book in the series and it is so good. I highly recommend reading both. The characters are very likable and well-developed. It's a great story. I am anxiously awaiting book 3.
The adventure in this book actually begins in the first book titled Train Bound for Forty. In this one we get more background information on Amira and Star. This book is essentially Amira’s story. Chock full of adventure and chaos the story draws you in. And weaves a fantastic narrative. One of the few things that bothered me was the abrupt ending. Beyond that it was overall pretty good.
I am totally in love with this series so far. The fact that even witches who know they are witches can be surprised by who/what they are is a great twist and one I never saw coming in the first book of this series at all. I can't give anything away, but fated lovers, twists and turns, more mystery and yes sweet romance is always a check in the win column in my book-reading. It's a light, joyful read, and easily finished in one sitting, but that doesn't mean it's not a well-written story plot. Do yourself a big favor and grab this book and a beverage of your choice and indulge yourself for awhile. You won't regret it.
If you're not familiar with Stephanie Berchiolly's first book Train Bound to Forty I would definitely reading that first.
As for book two in the Scenic Magical Midlife Tour, #2, I definitely recommend getting it today. Florebelle has officially moved to Orphic Cove, but her BFFs Amira and Star are trying to figure out life, cooking, the ocean, and weaving without her. Of course, Florebelle's life is anything but quiet and she is soon needing her best friends to give her a helping hand.
This book is interested because of the multiple POVs. I can honestly, say I think this book is stronger than the first one.
If you're looking for a fun book with excellent world building, I definitely recommend Worth Her Salt.
I want to thank the author for the opportunity to read this book prior to publication. Although I am thankfully the opportunity to read the ARC, the review is completely mine and not influenced by her generosity.
Does anyone know who Florebelle’s travel agent is? I seriously want to join Florebelle and her chosen sisters on their scenic magical midlife tour!
I thought I knew where the author was going to go with the sequel to Train Bound for Forty but was I ever wrong. There were surprises, twists and turns that I could have never predicted and they were PERFECT!
I have loved every single minute I’ve spent with Florebelle and her friends (even if it kept me up so late that I had to mainline caffeine the next day) and hope there are a bunch of stories to come! One person found this helpful
Book 2 in the Scenic Magical Midlife Tour didn't disappoint. Florebelle, Amira and Star are back and we learn more about each of the main characters. Each woman has her story and I really loved how the author didn't primarily focus on just one...she gave each character their due diligence. Again, the writing was wonderful and it kept my interest. A rollercoaster of a ride while reading Worth her Salt...there was so much going on and pulled everything together. We met new characters and some were dangerous. Looking forward to the next book... Highly recommend if you like paranormal books
There is a lot going on in this book. If you don’t like when each chapter is a different character story, then you will not want this book. There are three main characters and based on what is happening is whose prospective you are reading. I liked the story and getting a deeper knowledge of the leading ladies. I can not wait to see what happens next.

Book 2 in the Magical Midlife Mystery Tour by Stephanie Berchiolly is outstanding! So many twists and turns for the three BFF's Florebelle, Star, and Amira that I couldn't put this book down! Loved it so much! Romance, supernaurals, and curses abound, and make for a crazy exciting adventure in Orphic Cove! Get into comfy clothes, get your snacks ready, and be forewarned ~ once you start reading, you won't want to stop. I yelled at my husband to leave me in peace because I was reading... truth! One of those books you can't read fast enough, yet don't want to ever end! Just do yourself a favor and read it!
This book picks up where Train Bound to Forty left off. This is more Amira’s story. It alternates from Florebelle, Star and Amira depending on the chapter. Loved the character development and the seamless introduction to their guys. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series. I really enjoyed reading this book. From the moment that I started reading I knew that I would not be able to put it down. I ended up reading it in one sitting. It moves along at a pace that makes for an easy read. It has characters that you want to know and you cannot help but love them and a story that will not disappoint and keep you reading. This book is a must read, no doubt about it.
I enjoyed the furthering of Flora and her "sisters" stories. I wont be eating spaghetti anytime soon thanks to Stephanie's superb description in a scene. Ready to read the next book and find out more about all the characters.

While Train Bound to Forty was an adventurous introduction to these characters Worth Her Salt not only continues the story picking up a few weeks after but it also gives us more information about the characters as well as introducing some very interesting new ones. Without giving anything away I will say the mixture of characters and their abilities was a bit of a surprise and I'm not really sure how the author made it work but somehow the surprises we encounter in this installment flowed in a way that fit well in the story. If you liked the first book and want more excitement and adventure you'll definitely need to pick this one up to continue the magical ride.
This second installment of Magical Midlife Tour was well written and kept me reading thanks to the endearing characters. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Giving this one a 3.5 stars. I was a bit lost in the beginning, but it started to pick up for me around chapter 10. I really enjoyed the male supporting characters! They were real yearners lol. I found the women to be a bit irritating in character, but nothing too grating!
Not a fan of the multiple POV for this type of story. I'm used to reading dual povs at most, so I think that's why following the story was a bit off for me at first. But as I got more into the book, I accepted it and grew to enjoy the perspectives. I also think the pacing for the conflict with Alexandre was a bit funny. It seemed like the story was dabbling with him in and out, and then 'boom', there was the big kill lol. It was anticlimactic in my opinion, but still satisfying to a degree.
The ending and storyline with Amira and Carter felt a little rushed, but their ending felt resolute and hopeful.
The last half of the book was a real page-turner, so regardless of my few tidbits, I'd still recommend! <333

Before reading this wonderful book, do yourself a favor and grab Train Bound to Forty, the novella that starts the series. This second book dives deeper into each character’s life and peels back a few layers of their backstory. Action-packed and fast paced, I couldn’t put it down (until my kindle smacked me in the face! Lol). There are still many questions to be answered about the lives of Florebelle, Amira and Star, not to mention the men in their lives. I can’t wait to read book 3. This series is set to be a fun, wild ride you don’t want to miss.
Another marvelous story from Stephanie Berchiolly. She really got into the personalities of her other two characters in the Scenic Magical Midlife series. The protagonist in this book, Amira, is strong and practical, not to mention empathic. But she has a secret - a secret even she doesn't know about. Her BFFs are both going through their own paranormal problems, but they all try to be there for each other. It would be best if you read this to really understand it. Trust me - you won't be sorry! The stunning climax is worth every minute!
Miss Stephanie has done it again. Worth Her Salt, the second book in the series, takes you on an adventure like no other. With so many twists and turns, every turn of the page will have you wanting even more. The character development within the story is some of the best I have experienced reading. The writing style of Miss Stephanie keeps the reader engaged and gives the nostalgia of a story told by a close friend, or family member. I highly recommend Worth Her Salt for anyone that likes paranormal romance and a good adventure! I cannot wait for the next installment.
Worth Her Salt is Stephanie's follow up to Train Bound to Forty (I suggest you read this one first) , and what a follow up it is! I love the friendship and antics between Florebelle, Amira and Star. Stephanie has a way of writing that makes reading effortless. I was so involved with the story that when it came to an end I wanted to go back and read it again just to continue my relationship with these characters. Pick up these books, you will be glad you did.

What a ride! Worth Her Salt is amazing. I loved learning more about the main characters and meeting new ones. This was such a page turner. I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next and the ending left me wanting book 3 to be out right now!!!
Really enjoyed the characters but it was like so much was left unsaid. We really only got one answer at the end of the book which does make me excited to read the next one so mission accomplished.
