Nothing complicates a friendship faster than love…
Seb Brookes has no intention of falling in love ever again. So, when he invites a family friend to move into the apartment above his bar, romance is not on his agenda. That doesn’t stop him from noticing how gorgeous she is, though…or from wanting her. But friendship is all he can handle. He’ll just have to learn to keep his mind—and hands—off his new tenant. That was the plan, anyway…
Taylor Jacobs needed a fresh start—and the small town of Hope Creek was the perfect place to get it. She wasn’t prepared to fall for Seb…but she did. He’s sexy, charming—and emotionally unavailable. She knows love isn’t in the cards for them. But that doesn’t mean a physical relationship is out of the question…right?
The line between friends with benefits and love is whisper-thin, and crossing it could lead to happily ever after…or utter devastation. Which way will Seb and Taylor go? There’s only one way to find out…
I found myself feeling for Seb, who has given up on love these days since he has feelings for someone he can never have. Life has a funny way of getting better though, and when Seb invites Taylor, who needs a restart to stay above his bar, he never saw what was coming for him. They're friends who have quite a bit of chemistry, so they embark in a FWB situation, but you already know things will get complicated despite their best efforts that it doesn't LOL! These two do light the sheets up that's for sure, and it's not too long before feelings are starting to get caught but it's definitely not that simple, or is it? I really enjoyed this story, and definitely enjoyed the supporting cast of his family (I want them to be mine to be honest), so I finished reading this story in short order, and now I really need to read the previous books since Hope Creek seems delightful! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
This is about Seb and Taylor, both with 💔 for different reasons, decide to ‘use’ each other and agree to no feelings……….but we all know how that works out 😉 enjoy this book with all the feels and emotions and heartache along the way
Gah I adored this story. There are so many moments within these pages that I fell more in love with Seb. My heart ached for him from the previous books but seeing him and Taylor connect the way they did, it was beautiful. There was the right amount of angst and drama and small little moments that gave this story so much depth. What I loved the most is how Taylor came up on his blind side. Totally unexpected and I was living for it. The small moments which lead to bigger ones made my heart swoon. This is a beautiful book and my heart needed it at the time. Farr is such a stunning writer. I will forever devour everything she writes!
I have been waiting for Sebs story for what seems forever, and WOW, just WOW. This is what Romance books are all about.
Seb is sworn off love, having had his heart broken, and when Taylor, a family friend needs somewhere to live, he offers her the apartment above the bar.
Taylor has arrived in town to be with her friend after losing her Mum and being unlucky in the relationship department. Once she arrives she finds out the apartment she should have been moving into has fallen through. Taylor jumps at the chance to take Seb up on his offer, and as they say the rest is history. They hit it off straight away and quickly develop a friendship, and with their mutual attraction to one another they become friends with benefits.
I absolutely adore this full on family, their love and respect for each other is evident in the way they are always there for one another, but when they love, they love with a fierce heart. Only Seb can’t let that happen and both him and Taylor are in agreement of just having fun and don’t want to ruin their friendship….that is until feelings start.
This story is told from both Seb and Taylor’s POV so you get a full perspective, and how they react to each other and their mutual attraction and banter is full of surprises. You are willing them to be together from the start. Taylor doesn’t have the easiest beginnings in Hope Creek, and Seb is around as her knight in shining armor well, muscled tattooed adonis! . With Seb’s reluctance to face his feelings, it could end up costing him the one thing that is worth putting yourself out there for.
If you have read the first two books in the series, then you know you're in for a great read full of heart racing chemistry, intensity, love and humour, where the words flow and you become invested in the story.
I love Laura’s stories and can’t wait to see what comes next…I’d like to see Ash giving the boys a run for their money. If you haven’t visited Hope Creek, you need to start today.
I truly enjoyed reading this one! Seb is the hot tattooed bartender with the bad boy looks. He developed feelings for his brother’s girlfriend (you need to read that book!) and swore off love. Taylor best friends with Paisley (book 1…you need to read that one too!) who’s Seb’s brother’s girlfriend (I know it sounds confusing but it not). After loosing her mother to dementia she makes the move to Hope Creek and needs a place to stay. The beautiful editor ends up in the apartment above Seb’s bar (Eden) and the two become friends and soon friends with benefits because Seb doesn’t do love. I enjoyed watching their relationship grow and hard decisions being made. It’s full of hot steamy scenes, humor, family and love.
Wow, I have loved the hope creek series and Laura has done it again with this one. There was some mixed emotions going on when reading this I was heartbroken for Seb as he deserved to be happy and then comes along Taylor. They have their problems like any normal couple and they come through the other side. It keeps you wanting to read more just so you know if he gets his happy ending. They really are a match made in heaven and I can't wait to read the next in the series. I'm hoping it's going to be Ashlyn. We'll done Laura on another amazing book.
Poor Seb is in love with one woman he definitely cannot have, his brother’s wife. He hides his heartache the best he can, mostly by avoiding his family whenever possible. Taylor is new in town and Serb’s family accepts, her as one of their own when she has no one else. They hit it off and eventually are FWB. Then she can no longer keep her feelings in check. Secrets do not stay that way when people keep talking where others can hear. I love how close the family is—though Wyatt would not be at all of these family things for the holidays as a pro football player (and football season would have been over by the time she came out of her coma).
This is the third book in this series and its Taylor and Seb's story.
These two are both broken hearted and did not expect to find something with each other but the attraction between them is undeniable so there is no way they will be able to ignore it for too long.
This is a great story filled with family, friendships, humour and mixed with hot chemistry, passion and love. This was my favourite from this series so far and I cannot wait to see what Laura brings us next.
I was gifted a copy of this book by the Author. This is my honest opinion
When I read Loving Paisley I thought that no chance would I love any of the guys more than Nash, but then came along Echoes of Love, and Cade just made me swoon. I couldn't pick a favourite, but reading Cade's book I got attached to Seb, eagerly awaiting for his story. Well Seb is definitely my favourite... No doubt about it. Inked, broody ish, sweet and so hot in the bedroom that you can't not fall for him. The way he loves Taylor and The way he is with her throughout is beautiful. Their story is beautiful. I love these characters, this family, this series and I can't wait for more!
Where do I start… Taylor & Seb, what an amazing couple they make. They have so much chemistry from the get go, I could feel the sparks flying off the pages. A beautifully written story about how pulling your head out of your ass can lead to the best thing in your life. I loved how involved the other characters from books one and two were. It was nice to see how their relationships had progressed. The family dynamics between the siblings is amazing. Poor Ash having to put up with four overprotective brothers. I’m really looking forward to her story sometime in the near future I hope. Overall, a fantastic read and a perfect addition to the Hope Creek series.
This is the third book in the series. My heart goes out to Seb because he finds himself between a rock and a hard place having feelings for someone he can't have. Though once he has Taylor in his life he starts to evaluate what he knows. Taylor and Seb start off as friends, but there is no denying they have burning hot chemistry. The burn up the pages. I needed to fan myself a few times. This book also packed full of heart and feels. I just love how close knit the Brookes family is. It always warms my heart to see how much they support one another. This book left me with a big smile on my face and the epilogue had my heart happy sighing for these two!
Another great visit to Hope Creek, this time it's Seb and Taylors story.
Seb is in love with someone he can never have so he throws himself into work. He feels he has already given his heart away but is that really the truth.
Taylor is in need of a fresh start so decides to move to Hope Creek to be close to her bestie Paisley but she needs somewhere to live. So when Seb offers her somewhere she can't say no. As they get to know each other they embark on a friends with benefits relationship but what happens when the lines become blurred.
Then There Was You is the third book in this latest series by Laura Farr and I have absolutely loved being back with the residents of Hope Creek. This is Seb Brookes and Taylor Jacobs’ story, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
This narrative starts with both Seb and Taylor nursing broken hearts, and the way in which they find comfort in each other was quite unexpected. The sexual chemistry between them is palpable, and I enjoyed witnessing their story unfold. The couple have obstacles to overcome before there is any hope of them finding a happy ever after together, and I was rooting for them from the very beginning.
I absolutely adore the Brookes family. I can’t imagine I would ever tire of being in their company. I love how much they care about each other and are there for one another whenever needed. They are so welcoming to those who are within a family member’s close circle. I adore witnessing the protectiveness shown towards those they love, even if it can feel stifling at times…. poor Ash! I find it very easy to hand over my heart to the men in this family, and with Seb that was no different.
This narrative is one that I found very easy to read, although there were moments when I was sitting on the edge of my seat, fearing how scenes would conclude. I appreciated this narrative being told using the POVs of both Seb and Taylor as I had a greater understanding of their feelings and what they were thinking because of this.
At this time, I am unsure if the author plans to write the remaining siblings’ stories but I sincerely hope so. I’m anticipating that they would both be very interesting reads but in particular Ashlyn’s due to the protective nature of her brothers.
Yet another fantastically written book! I love Seb and Taylor. With each book I fall more and more in love with all these characters I feel like I'm part of the family by this point and absolutely can't wait to see who's book is going to be next. Laura is an absolutely amazingly author and her book and story's are so beautifully written you can't help but devour her word
Instant 5 stars! Farr is back with the third book in the Hope Creek series, and what a return! I instantly fell back into Hope Creek and the entire Brookes family. Seb and Taylor have their share of complications, but I loved their story.
Seb and Taylor were not looking for love only friendship but that began to change the closer they got. I really enjoyed this book, they both were so reluctant to call it love but so felt it for one another. Really liked the story and characters.
I think this is my favorite of the Hope Creek series so far! I love Seb and Taylor’s story! A sweet read about finding love again after heartbreak. Sometimes it sneaks up on ya ☺️
Another enjoyable addition to the Hope Creek Series. Both Seb and Taylor were likable main characters and I enjoyed seeing their friends with benefits situation become the forever type love as it was so obvious, they were perfectly suited. This book had a good balance of drama filled or angsty moments and sweet and easy ones. I’m hoping this isn’t the last we’ve seen of the Brookes family.
Book 3 in the Hope Creek series gives us Sebs story and what a story it is! I never have to worry how long ago i last read a book in the series with Lauras writing as i always just fall straight back in with the characters with ease as soon as i open up the next one, and this was no different. We all know that Seb has a broken heart and he has no plans to let anyone close... hes determined that love just isnt for him. Even a new friendship with an added bonus with Taylor cant change his mind. Taylor has moved to Hope Creek to re start her life after losing her mum. She could never imagine just what would come with her new apartment 😉 Absolutely loved being back with these guys.. they are all just fab but Seb has topped the charts for me so far. If you want a feel good story that is still full of craziness, hot steamy scenes and all the emotions then this is the story (and series) for you!
This is the third book in this addictive series, and this is Seb and Taylor’s story. Taylor is looking for a fresh start, and the small town of Hope Creek seems the ideal place to do it, but she did not consider falling for Seb. Love is not on Seb’s agenda after being burnt in the past, but when he invites Taylor to move into the apartment above his bar, the attraction between them is undeniable, and the chemistry is palpable. This is a well written story which is emotionally charged, with friendships, family, challenges, humor, trust, and love, which leads to a poignant page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Wow!!!! What a story! I absolutely LOVED this book! From the very second I started reading I was pulled in. The author just dives right in with a big shocking declaration and my heart is instantly broken for Seb. This book has everything you could want in a story. The writing was amazing, the characters were fabulous, there was a fun storyline and the chemistry between Seb and Taylor was off the charts hot.
I definitely need to get my hands on the first 2 books in this series because those characters also make an appearance in this book and I loved them so much I need to hear their stories. A must read book and series for sure!
I always felt like Seb’s story was going to be my favourite, and it definitely has been so far. Seb and Taylor are a match made in heaven. The story flows well, the characters are relatable, the small town vibe is just what everyone needs at this time of year, and I can’t wait for the next book. A definite great series for all small town lovers that like to follow the same family throughout.
