The Beginning Of The End

Rate this book
John Hagee tells the story to both the Christian and the Jew of the assassination of Yitzah Rabin, the Prime Minister of Israel, and how this was one event foretold by the prophets. He addresses the Jew by explaining how according to God's Word this event has and will effect the choices they make as a people and a nation. He calls Christians to be courageous, for God is in control. As someone who knew Prime Minister Rabin, he helps all to recognize the price of peacekeeping.

15 years later, Pastor's book is still relevant in many ways.

Hagee writes like he preaches. I can practically see him banging his fist at the end of each sentence. But I like the guy. You can do much worse, and I don't believe anything about what he says regarding the EVENTS of the final days is false. He backs up what he says with Scripture. This book is now dated, however. It was basically in response to the events in Israel during the mid-90s, and I think Hagee believed that they indicated that the rapture was immediately imminent, but we see it has yet to come to pass. That's not saying it's not soon, but not so soon as Hagee had hoped. Anyway, if you want to see an impassioned defense of Israel and an engaging discussion of end time events, this is a good read.

This was a very interesting book. It was well-written and well researched and very informative. I would recommend to anyone who is looking to read about historical events that shows signs of the times leading to the "end of times." It is a book that I will be keeping in my library.

I have read at least a dozen or more books on the end times. I have read many books that predict how near the end is and some of them have made really incredulous claims while others are well researched and appear to be written with good intentions. I like John Hager and have read several of his books, but ultimately, this is another book that so many people have written about and they all try to explain and interpret scripture and they either really believe that the end is near or they want the readers to believe it. This book is interesting and well researched but it isn’t any different than most others that talk about the same thing.

Excellent prophetic book regarding the end times and how we can prepare for it. This book starts with the assassination of Israel’s Prime Minster Yitzhak Rabin on November 4, 1995. The evidence then that Pastor Hagee outlines as signs we are the “terminal generation” has only escalated as each of us have witnessed with our own eyes since then. He expertly details the coming events of the tribulation, the rise of the Antichrist and the False Prophet and the ultimate defeat of Satan. A definite book for anyone who wants a deeper understanding of the prophecies of Daniel, Ezekiel and Revelation. Highly recommend!

While there is standard rapture stuff that is good, the emphasis on an assassination in 1995 of the Israeli Prime Minister leading them to cave in peace talks did not happen and takes away from my ability to buy Hagee as a forecaster.

This book has a very interesting take and what is yet to come. Though the book was written in 96/97 after the murder of Yitzah Rabin it still holds true today. The book has plenty of scriptural backing and though the author can speculate about alot of the interpretation that is made by bible teaching I believe he is not far from the truth of what will take place during the end of days as it has been plainly outlined in scripture. Even though the end of days did not come to pass in the year 2000 it does not mean that the end is not very near. So keep your eyes open and be vigilant because the Lord is coming soon in grand splendor and majesty to claim his bride.

The world is going to end, and sooner rather than later. He could be right. This prophetic book is 14 years old so some of it should have occurred by now. It is rather vague on the details so you can't tell. Maybe.
