3 ⭐️ Muggle AU!
Words: 18,981 // 5 chapters.

I usually don't read Muggle AU fics, but this one sounded kind of fun and I've been craving a new Dramione for weeks now. This was so, so short and Hermione and Theo are siblings in this one. Odd, but not horrible.

It was ok. Way too many toxic masculinity moments for my taste, but it's FF so...

The brother’s best friend trope is one of my favorites, but for obvious reasons, it’s not a common trope in Dramione fics or at least not the ones I’ve read. So while I do have a couple of Dramione stories with the best friend’s brother tag, this was the first time I actually read it, not counting that one drabble I found on Twitter that was inspired by a One Tree Hill couple (don’t ask, I don’t remember the couple’s names because I haven’t watched the show, though I’m pretty sure the sister was asking the best friend to tutor her or was offering to tutor him if you know the show and that’s helps you figure out who it was). Anyway, as soon as I saw the name when I was scrolling, I immediately wanted to read my brother’s best friend and I wasted no time before doing just that.

I loved that it was also a muggle AU, I haven’t read but one or two of those and I was glad for the newish experience, though I will say it’s a little weird without the magic. I should probably talk about Draco and Hermione though and what can I say except that they adorable. I loved how Hermione made Draco jealous and how they came together and how Draco was totally gone for Hermione and she felt the same, but he had to work a little to get her to give them a chance. They were so sweet and just melted my little heart. I had such a great time reading my brother’s best friend, it was fun and I’ll for sure check out mrsren again!

I don't usually read Non Magic/Muggle AU's and I only downloaded this for the smut, but I was pleasantly surprised by this story and how much I liked it.
It's a cute, short, 5 chapter fic about Hermione wanting to lose her virginity and asking Draco to be the one who will take it.
Of course she's been in love with him for forever and he always had feelings for her too but was too afraid to act on them because of Theo, but he just can't seem to get her proposal out of his mind and thus starting a secret relationship with both of them realizing that the other person is the one for them.
You could've easily replace Hermione and Draco with any other characters from any other fandom and it wouldn't take anything out of the story. Making Hermione and Theo be siblings and Draco being their childhood friend makes so much sense tho.

This was bad in many ways. The basic plot would have been quite good and I usually enjoy the brothers best friend trope, but the text was really superficial. There was no chemistry between the characters (anyone, but especially Draco and Hermione). A huge number of different situations were included in the short story, but they mechanically followed each other without any real connection between them. The worst thing here was the far too long and unnecessary toxic masculinity situation at the end of the story.

If the story had been longer, I wouldn't have finished reading it.
