I've been waiting four months for this volume to drop, and to get myself ready, I had an absolute blast rereading the last two volumes. And it was worth every second.
The art style, as always, is stunning. Inoue Takehiko is genuinely one of the greatest manga artists out there. I love his style, his storytelling, and just about everything this man creates. He doesn't just draw manga—he crafts a raw, human experience. (Yeah, I know it's a cliché to say that, but if you've read his work, you’ll understand. Sue me.)
His characters feel so real—their motivations, their hopes, their dreams. Hell, at some points, I even found myself rooting for the opposing team. That’s how well he writes them.
The pacing in this volume is just as fast and exhilarating as ever. My heart was pumping with adrenaline the entire time. And those last ten panels? Sakuragi’s dunk. Kogure’s cry of joy. I swear, I was this close to tearing up.
Can't wait to see what’s next in store. Bring it on.
