Pregnant by my dad's best friend…
Shhhh, I won’t tell if you don’t.

I never knew older men with cocky smiles were my thing.
Especially when he's my father's co-CEO.

But Zach's smile made me go from good girl to bad girl in 2.3 seconds.
Now I'm his intern and we're stuck together like lovebugs.

A touch on the cheek as we pass in the hallway.
An outright claiming of my soul on his desk after hours.

This will be our little secret.
Because if my dad finds out, we’re both toast.

Then I discover the biggest secret of all:
I’m going to make Zach a daddy.
I just hope we don’t lose everything else first.

Boss's Little Secret is a standalone romance with no cheating. It's perfect for all lovers of hot older guys and feel-good HEAs!

Good read.

A good little read if you’re into bosses, dad’s best friend, and surprise baby tropes. I absolutely hated Winnie’s dad but it definitely let me understand why she jumped to some conclusions and acted the way she did. Well, that and the fact that she’s a sheltered 21 to his 37.

They set up Zach as a playboy which isn’t my favorite but there wasn’t too much of that mixed in and even though he got a few texts from women it was made clear that from the moment he met Winnie, he didn’t want anyone else.

Entertaining but not a reread.

Jesus Christ, just talk and stop making dumb assumptions!

Also we hardly saw the MC spend time together to develop their supposed feelings!

This is part of the Boss and Babies Series but can be read as a standalone. You'll enjoy this story if you like age gap romances. It's forbidden, but feels so right. She's inexperienced and he's her Dad's business partner and best friend. Their chemistry is off the charts and they really are perfect for each other. A little angst and then the two pink lines appear. What happens when her Dad finds out that his sweet, naive, inexperienced daughter is pregnant by his BBF? This was a cute book that will grab your attention right at the beginning. Some drama but a great happy ending with no cliffhanger or cheating. I read a free advance copy via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.

age Gap Surprise Pregnancy

Enjoyable read a little frustrated at times with the story with the miscommunication with the main characters. My heart did fell for Winnie on how she was treated. If you enjoy a age gap romance then you will enjoy it 4⭐️

Read many better books.

First things first, her Dad is an arsehole. I think all he’d done and treated her couldn’t be redeemed in anyway no matter what he did. Psychological abuse. Plain & simple.
Also saw no friendship between Zach & James.

It was also getting on my nerves the ‘age gap’ issue, sure he’s 16 years her senior.
But if I was 37, and somebody at the age of 21 refereed to me as being “twice their age”… you’ve just put me in my fourties’ and aged me 5 years.

I wasn’t keen on the characters all that much.
Thought Winnie was very stand-off ish, but then I also thought, Zach is 37 he probably should be leading the way a little & speaking his mind of what he wanted a bit more than he was.

Side note: in the beginning when he was fantasising about Winnie, in his mind she called him Daddy. Sorry that’s grotesque, I’m glad that theme didn’t continue the book. Would have put the book down.

All in all, had the foundations for a good book, and for me it missed the mark.

So lets start by saying my biggest pet peeve in a book is when the mfc has no back bone. When she just lets people walk all over her. She is 22 and her dad still controls everything in her life. I don't understand why she didn't just leave.

He gets her a job working with his 'best friend' (using that term very loosely) but only so she will fail. Her dad is the worst.

So Winnie meets Zach for the first time (dads best friend and business partner and she has never met him) there is insta lust for both of them which was annoying. They were fantasising about from the off. He cant do anything about it cos of you know his 'best friend' and she is an employee so he is a dick to her and she just takes it (slaps forehead)

He takes her virginity because she is a 22 year old virgin because her dad has never allowed her to do anything in her life. He offers her a ride home after and she actually thinks 'he thinks im a child who cant get home alone' I think he was just offering you a lift. Shes incredibly childish.

There is a bit where there having a nice talk and holding hands when another woman shouts his name. He immediately drops her hand and starts flirting with the other woman. When the other woman leaves he holds her hand again and shes relieved. No no no. She should have pulled her hand away and said what the eff!!!

Anyway it skips a month and she finds out she is preggers. Her dad sees the test and kicks her out. She moves in with Zach but in the guest room which upsets her but she says nothing. I was happy Zach stepped up but it wasn't enough.

There is no communication in this book at all. They talk about nothing. Ever! Its so frustrating. So she figures she is just in the way and leaves and then doesn't invite him to the scan which is really shitty in my view cos Zach did nothing wrong. Then they are in love.

This book was so frustrating. The amount of miscommunication or no communication was staggering. Half the book could have been avoided if they had of just sat down and talked.

He was 37 and she was 22 but you would have thought he was 50 they way everyone talked. She had never met him before so its not like they spent like family time together or anything. Plus Zach and her dad were so obviously not best friends. How do you never meet your best friends daughter? Her dad was an ass to Zach too and he didn't really stand up for himself either until the end

I just didn't believe these too were in love. There was no build up. We got no time building their relationship. They have sex twice and she gets pregnant and then their in love. I just didn't believe it.

The epilogue was nice but it didn't save the book

It Takes Strength To Succeed -
Winnie had been living under the tyrannical rule of her father for so long, that didn’t know how she could escape. However, she started gaining confidence in herself, when she met her father’s business partner, Zach and they started spending time together. Zach’s life was forever changed after he met Winnie and even though he tried everything to stay away from her, he forgot that two people fated to be together will end up together.

However, their journey to a forever happiness wasn’t smooth, due to communication issues and assumptions. It took a comment from a stranger for Zach to realise that he should fight for what he wants and not worry about what anyone else thinks.

I really enjoyed reading the story, with interesting characters and drama filled plot, that had me in tears at one point and laughing the next. I found it difficult to stop reading once I started, as I just wanted to find out how the story ended. I can definitely say that it was an awesome book to read.

This book grabbed me and held me until the end.
Winnie wants to be an artist but her father won’t pay tuition for her unless she is in law school and interning at his law firm. Winnie is suppose to start her internship but when she gets to Deacon & Montgomery Law Firm she finds out from her cousin Ashley who works there as a receptionist that Winnie actually has an interview with her dad’s business partner. After waiting for 15 minutes she approaches Ashley asking about the interview, she hears a male voice behind her and turns to see a handsome muscular man. Zach is the partner in Deacon & Montgomery Law. He is interviewing Winnie. He is also best friends with her dad. Zach is attracted to her but he tries to rein it in. He is 37 and she is 21. He can’t concentrate on anything but Winnie. Will Zach be able to stay away from Winnie? Will they be able to get past the age gap? Will having sex with the boss come back to haunt Winnie? Will Zach and Winnie find love and happiness?

This book had me engaged and entranced from beginning to end, I just wanted to keep reading. It's well-written and flowed well, and the characters were well-drawn. I loved Winnie and Zach but as for Winnie's father he was awful, it made me wonder how Zach could be his friend. Although she was his daughter he insisted she had to be interviewed for a position within his law firm, Zach, a partner and his best friend, is the one to interview her.

Zach sees something in Winnie, he's attracted to and wants her but he doesn't only have their age difference to factor in but also his friendship with her father. Are his feelings returned, should he act on his desires or should he let this chance slip through his fingers?

To find out the answers you will need to download this one for yourself because I'm not telling, what I will say is I loved it and thought Zach and Winnie were great together.

Winnie wants to be an artist but her father refuses to let her be what she wants. She has a job she really enjoys but he makes her quit it to work for his law firm. Zach is her father's business partner and the one responsible for determining if she would be a good fit to work there. Her father wasn't happy when he praised Winnie. When rumors about Zach and Winnie start going around her father puts her with another partner to work with. Sparks fly between her and Zach, but her father keeps coming between them. When she finds out that she is pregnant she doesn't know what to do next. Will she finally stand up to her father? Can she and Zach find a way to be together.

This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

This is an older man, younger woman, dad's best friend romance story.

Winnie wants to be an artist, however, her father refuses to pay for her tuition unless she is doing what he wants her to study, which is to study law so she can work for his firm.
She believes she is going to work as an intern at her fathers company, but ends up being interviewed by her father's friend and business partner Zach.
Zach is attracted to Winnie, but try's to ignore it as she is his business partners daughter and 16 years younger. However, he is not the only one with feelings as Winnie is also attracted to him. Surely only trouble waits for them if they give into their feelings.

I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Winnie Deacon & Zach Montgomery. Winnie is given an ultimatum by her father get a job as an intern for my law firm or get out and find your own place to live. So not knowing how she would support herself she goes for the internship only to realize her father isn't just going to hand it to her and she has to interview with Zach first the first man she truly wants. Zach doesn't always see eye to eye with his business partner but when he tells him to interview his daughter and not to be soft on her he isn't sure what is really going on. One thing he does know with one look he has found a woman he could see a future with. Can these two get a HEA or will her dad get in the way?

Another amazing hit by this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Everyone Knows the Boss's Secret

A charming novel with a sheltered Winnie who is under her dad's thumb, having to follow his strict rules, to the point she is feeling suffocated. When she has to work at dad's law firm, she is assigned as an intern for dad's business partner, Zach. Even though there is an age gap between Zach & Winnie, it doesn't stop with the flirting & secret meetings at his condo. They are the last to find out the office staff are whispering of their suspected romance. Lots of drama in this story & is a good read.

This was a perfect example of poor communication between a couple - but without the angst, it wouldn't have been such an interesting story! Thankfully, Hope had a couple of good friends who helped guide and support her along the way. Hope's dad was such a controlling old meanie and it was surprising that Zach hadn't realized it since he had been partners and supposedly best friends for many years. This was a fun book to read.

Winnie aspires to become and artist, but her father is refusing to pay her tuition unless she is attending law school and interning at his law firm. Winnie manages to get an interview with Zach, who is her new boss, father’s best friend, and business partner. This is a good story which is an engaging age gap romance, with secrets, family, friendships, emotions, and love, which leads to a compelling page turner.

4 Star Older Man Younger Woman Story

Winnie is a 21 year old who has been controlled by her domineering, lawyer father. Zach, is nearly twice her age and is her father’s partner and reluctantly takes Winnie on as his intern. The outcome is obvious when Zach’s thoughts are obsessed with the petite beauty who is a virgin, but not for long. I love an older man, younger woman story, but this one has so many instances of miscommunication and bickering it made my head spin. Fortunately they got their HEA before my patience ran out.

Not only is this an accidental pregnancy, but it's also a great age-gap romance. Twice the fun!

It was lust at first sight for Winnie and Zach, but being her dad's friend and business partner - and also her boss - forces them to reign in those lusty urges.

They can't hold out forever - what kind of romance would that be?? So, the next hurdle comes with two itty-bitty pink lines... Can they survive her father's wrath??

Great read. Lots of heat and feels. Loved it!.

Zach and Winnie

This hit most of my pregnancy trope yearnings. She didn’t let the reveal to him last too long and his response was great and realistic. There were some pretty hot scenes. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 she is a virgin and gets pregnant 1st time. He is 17 years older than her and her dad’s business partner. Her dad is a real ass and kicks her out. The bad thing about this book is how they didn’t communicate and each kept making assumptions without asking questions. But all in all a sweet hea with rooftop proposal.

Playing with fire = Life changing

Fantastic read and really enjoyed watching Zach & Winnie develop. Their attraction & the pull towards each other is undeniable.
How long before our little secret gets out?
How will Zach react when I tell him he's going to be a daddy?
Will Zach & Winnie get a HEA or will doubts tear them apart.

Winnie and Zach’s is a older man/younger woman, dads best friend story that has her dad making her go into law and intern at his law firm so her interview is with Zack. These two try to fight the sizzling attraction but fail. Along the way she becomes pregnant. But they had to hide their relationship from her dad. They have to figure a way to tell her father about them, all three.

3.5** cute story but rushed

I thought this was cute but their whole relationship felt rushed. I thought there would be a little more of the secret relationship before the conflict so it just felt like they kept fast forwarding. Also, she didn’t have an ultrasound until her anatomy ultrasound? Most women get one to verify pregnancy around 8 weeks then the 12 week trisomy/Down’s syndrome ultrasound, then the 20 week anatomy. They fast forwarded to 20 weeks very quickly.

Miscommunication is the trope I enjoy the least in romance. I find myself mentally screaming "JUST TALK TO EACH OTHER ALREADY!" Well, sometimes I actually say it aloud, too haha This book is filled with that trope. Sometimes the "dad's best friend" doesn't take into account that said friend is a decade or more younger than said dad. It's really a misconception and sounds way more taboo than it is.

The story was pretty good, the spice was really good and the pining was at an all-time high.

Communication is key

Winnie and Zach really needed to work on their communication skills. Neither of them would talk about where their feelings were causing everything to explode. A little talking could have gone such a long way with them.
James definitely needed a reality check. Poor Winnie could do nothing right. I do wish we could have heard the original talk between James and Winnie that started to get them on the right track.

Winnies dad has offered her a job at his law office. What she doesn't know is that she had to interview with his partner Zach. He hires her, but they have to fight their feelings for each other. Her dad is overbearing and mean and tries to keep them apart. He kicks her out of his house and she turns to Zach for help. Now that they're together will they be able to keep it a secret?

The lack of communication trope is frustrating

Ok yes, this book is quite enjoyable and if a touch far fetched, I liked the premise of it and I liked the main character mostly. It was just a tad frustrating where the continuous jumping to conclusions was getting old. Especially from both parties.

Winnie is doing what her father wants and is interning at his company. Working for his business partner Zach, she has no idea what’s in store.

Not for me! Winnie was supposed to 22, she acted 12. Zach was supposed to be hers dads bff but had never met her. The dad was a bellend. She was a douche and he was just dull
