I’m a husband and author, and I may be a little religious about both. I like writing hot sex and encapsulating it in the delicate white silk of devotion, commitment, and psychotic obsession.

This is so weird!
I'm not sure but it sounds like someone has multiple personalities... like 5 or more. Not going to waste my time trying to figure it out.

OMG! OMG! OMG! My heart is racing and I'm literally shaking right now. 'Butterfly and Augustine' just took this storyline to the next level. Its adrenaline-packed erotic scenes are so powerful and the chemistry only adds another layer to that. Then there are all the clues that are being found about the men in Augustine's body. Oh, and don't let me forget the Truce breakers and that whole scenario. Once again, I feel like I was right in the middle of all this and I'm going to step away, get a cup of coffee, calm my system down, and then jump into 'Butterfly and Harlow'. I feel like an addict waiting on my next fix, it's that good.

I'm loving the idea this author has with starting out with a recap of the previous installment (although I haven't read the recap yet). I just have to step up and share this recap. I wish all authors felt this way and would give a general recap to freshen the readers mind. Recap is as follows:

RECAP FROM THE END OF BUTTERFLY AND PAIN:
Pain, Atlas cut in. Augustine is back and Kult wants to show us something. He said he needs Butterfly too. It’s important.
“What’s wrong?” she wondered at his eye roll.
“Kult wants to talk to everybody. You too. Augustine is back. Can you un-fucking-tie me?” he asked her.
She suddenly seemed clueless before getting up to remove the restraints. “What’s going on?” she wondered. “Is Augustine okay?”
“Beastie,” Kult said, barging into the driver seat.
“Kult?”
“I need your help with something important. Get our phone. We’ll handle the other restraints.”
Pain removed the final ankle tie when she returned and handed him the phone. Kult pressed buttons and handed it to her. “Take a picture of us.” He nodded when she hesitated, and she aimed the camera at them.
“What are you doing?” Pain asked.
“Augustine,” Kult said.
“Starting with you. What color eyes do you see in this photo.”
“Brown.”
“You, Atlas?” Kult asked.
“Green.”
“Harlow?”
“Fucking blue!” he said.
“I see hazel,” Kult said.
“Pain, what do you see?”
“Dark brown,” he said.
“Butterfly? You tell us what you see.”
She looked at the phone. “I see green.”
“What the fuck does this mean?” Pain wondered, confused as fuck.
“How is that possible?”
“We’re all seeing different people when we look at ourselves,” Kult said.
“Why is that?”
“Cause we’re fucking nuts?” Harlow offered, sounding mystified.
“Or because we are different people?”
“How is that possible?” Atlas demanded.
“Augustine, you said you remembered something during the last purging. Please share.” Kult paced them around the room.
“I remembered seeing us on the other side. But there wasn’t five of us. There was six.”
Kult slapped the phone on the table and put his hands on his hips, nodding.
“We need to purge again. We have a missing someone on the other side of that wall that’s been trying to get through.” He looked at Butterfly, standing frozen like she’d seen a fucking ghost.
“Beastie? We’re gonna need your help.”
~Lucian Bane

Was I disappointed by that recap as it was only the ending of the previous installment. It didn't highlight everything that happened in any form other than reminding me how it ended.

But hold tight, it getting interesting.

Butterfly and Augustine is Lucian Bane's third book from his Royal Bastards MC: Newark, NJ series and it's an intense read. How Lucian writes the way he does is beyond me. I never would have thought up a story line like this one is going let alone how to write it as well as he has.
Each book in this series is left on a cliffhanger so you have to start at book 1 or you'll be lost and won't understand a thing going on. So this book picks up right where book two left off. I've finally got a lot of the questions I've been getting answered but left with more answers I want and I can't wait to get them. For being the shortest in the series so far it packed a punch. In this one we get to see a different side of Butterfly. She's dealing with a lot of frustration and anger towards the guys but is still trying to stick to her word that she'll help them no matter what. And they put her through the ringer in this one. I don't know how she handles it and just shatters instead of just breaking only to piece herself back together. We're also get to meet Sync who turned out to be the missing piece all the guys knew was there but didn't know who. And with him comes all the memories of their past that they had forgotten which is a good and bad thing to me. Augustine and Dr. Ubaldo finally answered some of the questions that Butterfly had and the answers confused her just as much as me.
I gave this book 4 stars. The continuing story line was on point following the first 2 books. The steamy scenes were hardcore but the number of them limited. And this book especially keeps me intrigued in the series. I'm wondering if my assumptions are wrong and changing how I feel about the characters as they evolve. It just keeps me guessing. The whole thing missing is the MC aspect of it since it's supposed to be an MC series. There was a bigger scene that had to do with the MC in this book and I'm hoping since the book left off on an MC issue that is where it will pick up in the next one. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes dark romance, twisted thriller romances, and extra spicy erotica. This series is for you.

Butterfly loves each of the men with her whole heart. This is good for them, but dangerous to her. Especially since no-one is sure who or what caused him to be this way.
She has such incredible strength to keep going with her mission of loving him - you will cry at her sacrifice and ache for his brokenness.
You laugh at the dynamic between men and women that is portrayed so realistically in this peculiarly complicated reality.
And you get swallowed whole by their obsessive love for her.

“I know you’re sorry, you don’t need to say it,” she muttered. Actually, he wasn’t sorry. So, he didn’t say it.

"Just fucking remember I’d have my dumb wings burned off before I eva betray you that way."

He eyed her pink feet on the dash again. “So, what are your toes always dancing to?” She gave a one-shot laugh. “Heck, I don’t know. The music in my soul, I guess?” The music in her soul. Fuck.

Why are you reading this review when you could be reading this book??? The ongoing saga of Butterfly and how much she wants to help these men she has come to love. These stories are amazing. Dark, but amazing. And always with heart. What secrets will come out about the different personalities is what keeps you coming back. So GO....get the book. And while you're at it, save yourself the time and trouble by picking up ALL of the rest of them, so you don't have to pause your reading. You won't want to!

All that is holy

This series is another world of RBMC. So much anguish and confusion. Battles of the mind and body. Butterfly is trying to keep her heart safe but also show so much love to her man and his minds. Not your typical MC series in the RBMC world and you must read from the beginning BOOK 1 to understand the dynamic of this series.

Holy Hell Batman!

OMG! What a roller coaster! The Butterfly and Harlow book better be released soon! I NEED to know what happens next!!

The passion, the rage but ultimately the love that's transcended between them is so exciting. I had to have a box of tissues for this installation as well. Guess I'll just plan on having them ready for each one.

Part 3

Butterfly is starting to get some answers. They really is multiple men in one body. It not split personality like she thought.
Someone is after the men she love and they won't stop at nothing to get them back. The deal with the club is going down and things just got more complicated. I can't wait to read the next book.
