Rocky Ridge Creek #4

Protective Cowboy

Rate this book
She left thirteen years ago.
Without a word.
And there hasn’t been a day go by that I haven’t thought about her.

Now she’s back in town.
Just showed up out of the blue.
I suppose it wasn’t really out of the blue.
Her estranged father passed away, and she’s back to settle his estate.
She breezes back into town.
Again, without even a hello.
What am I supposed to make of that?
She’d been my best friend growing up.
She’s the one I fell in love with.
Only she broke my heart.
I want to stay away, but something drives me to her doorstep.
And, damned if she hasn’t been keeping a big secret from me.
I have a son.

Great read

Beck and Lydia is truly the epitome of true love/soulmates. Best friends since kindergarten, then falling in love with each other while in HS. All the while Beck never knowing of her tragic and traumatizing childhood. Lydia resenting the town for assuming that no one did anything to help her while she was being abused at her fathers hands. To find out that the town tried to protect her at every turn, calling CPS several times but to no avail. It was so gut wrenching to read about some of the abuse she incurred by her father. She was finally able to get closure and release the anger from her heart for feeling as though no one was there for her.. Once she was able to see that everyone had her wellbeing in mind she was able to make the right decision to not move away from the love of her life and father of her child; to allow her son to grow up amongst his family he never knew he had. Lastly, please re-edit the book, too many grammatical errors and other nonsensical stuff in the book.

Beck and Lydia haven't seen each other for 13 years when she left town without even a goodbye. Beck has been heartbroken all these years and things got worse when he found out she was coming back after her fathers passing. Can he get their friendship back and even more can he repair his broken heart and let her know how much he's missed her. Lydia left with lots of secrets. She had to get away from the town that broke her. But Beck has never left her heart and when she sees him talking to their son he never knew he had her heart breaks for all they have lost. But they find a way to forgive and reveal their hearts to each other now that there is three of them to think about.

Lydia and Beck, best friends forever, or so Beck thought.
This cute story has Beck Wilde's best friend and first love coming back to Whiskey Ridge.
Lydia is back to clean out her childhood home that she left 13 years ago, but she has no intentions of talking to Beck, especially after the secret she has been keeping from him. His son.
She wants to get in and get out of Whiskey Ridge.
Of course the Quylt sisters have other plans. Their love quilt is being made!
As Beck and Lydia get to know each other again and she tells him the reasons she left, they fall in love all over again.
Will they get their happy ever after, or will her secrets keep them apart.?

I truly love a good hot cowboy story. This is a new author for me, and for the most part it's a very enjoyable book. I enjoyed the Wilde family, especially the brothers together. I get why Lydia felt she needed to have her son elsewhere, but given she and Beck were best friends, I wasn't convinced it should have been the option presented. Story has alot of spelling errors in it, which distracts abit from the story, and some parts could have been expanded upon, like the fire, but overall a pretty good book.

Protective Cowboy

Lydia and Beck's story has her leaving town not telling anyone she was leaving and pregnant. But she needed to to save herself and her unborn from her abusive father. She comes back after her father dies to sell his house but finds out the town tried to help her and her mother before her death. But when she sees Beck and he meets his 13 yr old son, Josh, will he be able to forgive her and get a chance to be a dad. The story has a heart but it also shows how you think a certain way but one thing you didn't know could change the outlook

Beck and Lydia were always meant to be together. Their story touches on some delicate subjects and shows that sometimes you don't know all the facts even if you think you do. Lillian handles the situation with grace is really good at letting her sons work out their problems while giving them gentle guidance. I love the Wilde family and Lillian and Josh are a special addition. Lots of love and tears in this story.

This was a good book. After all that Lydia went through growing up, she came out the better. Beck just needed closure and he got a lot more then that. Josh turned out to be a good kid. I loved them together. Good book and I can't wait for the next brother to fall.

Good read

I really enjoyed Beck and Syria's story. I'm looking forward to the next book. I wish there had been a prologue and epilogue by the Quylt sisters as with the other books. I also noted several spelling errors and one scene where one sentenced had Lydia bringing Beck lemonade and then she told him it was iced tea and then it was back to lemonade.

Not quick at all

Lydia came back to clean out the house she lived in all her life. She swore she was going to be in and out, keep a secret and go back to the city. Until her secret was out, and the only love she had was too much. She remembers her childhood one way, and now she has learn something new.

Just as it was meant to be

If you need a story of love and redemption, read Beck and Lydia's story.

Sometimes, in life, things go sideways and can only come back together through tragic circumstances. I've never wanted more for a couple to find the love they never lost, but have been hiding from.

Nice story

It’s very nice and emotional story. I love all the main characters. The book shows that sometimes a person has to make a very difficult decision in order to survive and it can be not the best decision but the real love will prevail.

Beck and Lydia's story is a great love story that is based on the eyes of both side
, was Lydia right in her choice to leave, even if it cost Beck almost 12 years of knowing he had a son, the story has a lot of important issues and how love helps heal, I enjoyed this book very much,

Hard decisions made out of love.

Lydia left the love of her life without a word. Now she's back after years away. Beck wants answers and when he finally comes face to face with the love of his life, he walks away with even more questions and his son he has just met by his side.

Unknown Son

13 years ago she left and now she was back; with an almost 13 year - son. His son. A son he never knew he had. After some drama, he found out the reasons why she left. They worked everything out and forgave each other to find their HEA.
