This book is a combination of BDSM sorority tropes and, as such, could easily be lost in a well-worn genre. But Dedeaux is a master of the form. His language is full of sexual insinuation, double entendre and even classical references. He is also especially skillful with F/f power play. This book has only one scene that is M/f, a very hot session between the dean and his wife.

The edition referenced here is from the Blue Moon line, which was often discreetly offered on back shelves of the now-defunct Borders chain. Blue Moon published books that were searing for the days before Fifty Shades made BDSM a common staple of daytime talk shows. Their gentle covers revealed nothing of the wild fetish orgies inside. I think the publisher has since vanished in the foam, and that's a great loss and a damn shame.
