What's worse than being arranged to wed the most arrogant fae warrior in your clan? Well, to be kidnapped by pirates on the eve of the ceremony, of course.
First-born of the High Fae mage family of the Priori clan of Arcadia, Caelina has certain responsibilities. Destined to lead her people, she dedicates her life to her training and the pursuit of perfection.
She's always known she was going to have to marry the strongest warrior in their clan to ensure the stability of her people's future. And she's long accepted her fate. But that doesn't mean she doesn't get to complain about it.
Little does she know she's not the only one opposed to the match.
Follow Caelina and Stellan's story with this snarky, fun, action adventure prequel. A thrilling, enemies-to-lovers arranged marriage fantasy romance. Perfect for fans of "Throne of Glass" and "Pirates of the Caribbean."

Arranged to the Fae Warrior The Dragons of Arcadia (prequel) Fantasy S.R. Breaker ⭐️⭐️⭐️
This prequel was a nice little introduction to the new fantasy series, The Dragons of Arcadia, by S. R. Breaker.
Caelina and Stellan are similar in that they are both stubborn and fight their arranged marriage at first.
After a crazy pirate ex-girlfriend appearing, being kidnapped, a declaration of love and the desperate need to escape their captivity, they unite to defeat their captors.
The writing style was very easy to read and the world building was enough to keep me engaged but also left a lot of room to be explored in the rest of the series. As this is a short novella it will be interesting to see how things progress in this world in the next book.
The last thing Caelina ever expected was to be kidnapped by pirates on the day of her wedding, but life has a funny way of working out sometimes…
Okay, so this was a really fun little novella! I really liked how Caelina and Stellan’s relationship developed over the course of the novella; it felt realistic and well developed despite the shorter time frame. I loved how strong and confident Caelina was, and I loved how sweet and swoonworthy Stellan was. All in all, I would definitely recommend!
I was promised Pirates of the Caribbean and this is not it! Hell, was used at least five times in the first 30% which was totally unnecessary and the A word was in it once. The villain is the MMC's crazy ex, what?! Then she came up and licked the guys neck! 🤢 This was recommended in an email from an author I know, she said she hadn't read it but it was supposed to be clean. This was a waste of time. 😮💨I will not be reading anything more from this author.
This was the story about Cealina and Stellan from the Cruse of the Dragon Heir book. It is their story about how they spent their day after being married.
It was a quick read and I enjoyed learning about the couple. I had wondered about them from the book. I knew they had an arranged marriage but in the book you could tell that Stellan was deeply in love. It was nice to get their background story.
Definitely recommend this one. Doesn’t have to read before the Cruse of the Dragon Heir since it doesn’t reference anything from that book. It is linked to it but no need to read it first.
. Kurz aber nett
Genre: fantasy Age: new adult Series/Standalone: prequel to a series (I haven’t read the series) Tropes: kidnapped by pirates, arranged marriage Content:
This short prequel (available for free on the author’s website) had so much potential but failed to meet expectations. The first thing that I noticed is that the FMC had such a potty mouth. It was incredibly off-putting. I mean, come on, the girl used more language than the pirates who kidnapped her! Secondly, the couple started out fighting with the girl thinking that she hated the guy. I would not have minded if they were fighting because they didn’t want to admit that they liked each other. However, the girl thought she genuinely hated him but all that changed in one conversation? I don’t think so.
S. Breaker introduces us to a world of magic, Fae, pirates and jealous ex’s in this prequal to The Dragons of Arcadia.
Cealina is next in line to lead her people and always knew she would marry for duty not love. When she is matched to marry Stellan the strongest Fae warrior in the clan she is resigned to her fate. Little does she know her wedding night isn’t going to be a traditional one.
I enjoyed this introduction to the Arcadia world and I’m looking forward to reading what happens next.
I really want to give this like a 3.5 but it won’t let me lol. To preface, I haven’t read the rest of the series yet so I don’t know how much detail the other books give about the MCs and their love story. I really did enjoy the characters & it does make me want to look into reading the rest of the series in the future. However I thought this was too short. The characters seem so complex & interesting so I would’ve loved to see more details given rather than feeling rushed into a preview of their happily ever after.
Another one of the romance novels on sale! This is about a mage and a warrior who are engaged to be married but they apparently hate each other and have just been kidnapped by pirates.
Overall this was a fun little read, especially since looking at it, it's meant to be more of a prequel. I quite liked the premise, the sound of the world is interesting and the characters were okay. I hated how the whole misunderstanding/conflict was resolved, especially with how quick it was, but it wasn't bad. I just don't think this series was for me.
Loved how quickly we thrust into the action and intrigue. Caelina and Stellan believe they hate each other. Even though this is just a novella, we get just enough world and character building to be rooting for the feelings to develop between the two main characters. Can’t wait to see how the rest of the world develops in Curse of the Dragon Heir.
So this novella is the prequel to the dragons of Arcadia series and is an exciting and thrilling enemies to lovers romance. A fun, action packed adventure where we join Caelina and Stellan on their journey and is a great introduction to the series. A few twists and surprises, a little sass and snark and a whole lotta fantasy romance.
It felt like i was reading a wattpad book. It just wasnt what i was expecting and it felt a little immature. I think the ending was also wrapped up too quickly. With the book being so short we could only ever know the surface level of the characters and the plot line was a very short one.
the book being so short should have been my first sign that it wouldn’t be as developed as i would have hoped. i really like the concept, but the modern language and length of the story ruined the storyline for me. i would love to see this concept reimagined in a 300+ page book, with the setting and characters fully explored and well-rounded.
Um.. this was a free book during one of those prime day deals and I figured why not. I have never laughed so hard while reading a book. 13 year old me may have thought it was cute but grown years old me couldn’t help but chuckle. That being sad this author wrote a book & thats pretty cool. It’s a short read at least so that’s nice.
This was…weird? It felt like a short story a teenager would write for a prompt in creative writing. The idea is cool, but the pacing was way off and the language used seemed too contemporary.
Since this was meant to be a short prequel, I may still give the rest of the series a try, but man it didn’t start off good.
What a delightful story, even though it’s short. Caelina takes her responsibilities seriously when it comes to taking care of her people. She’s supposed to get married but gets kidnapped instead by a pirate. Will this turn into a romance You don’t want to miss out.
This novella was intriguing! I do feel like the story was a bit rushed, but that's very common with novellas/short stories. Overall, it was an enjoyable easy read, though, and I look forward to reading more about these characters and this world.
I don't really like the trope of "I hate you because I assume (incorrectly) that you're judging me" and that's a big part of this story. But it's a pretty fun read, with a crazy over-the-top fight scene at the end that seemed to come out of nowhere and made me think of the movie Argylle.
