Running away from anything that makes me feel real emotion has worked so far…until what makes me feel amazing shows up in my conference room for a business meeting…
Aiden, Gideon, Oliver, Jaxon - The Club Kings
I have survived too much in my life to be an easy romantic partner for anyone. Hiding my scars, physical and mental, had become a full time job. But none of my walls stopped two wickedly gorgeous men from trying to sweep me off my feet in the middle of Club 4.
But what can I do when The Club Kings come waltzing into my work life and bang on the door of my personal life, uncovering everything I was so ashamed of. Though, when I expect them to turn away in disgust, they only hold onto me tighter.
I should be pushing them all away, but I find myself reaching out to keep them in my bed, a side of myself I didn’t realize existed.
What I couldn’t have predicted was my past would come back to threaten the thread of happiness I was trying so hard to hold onto…
Taming Brooklyn is a spicy “why choose” romance, first in series with no cheating and a happily for now ending.
Authors This is a “Why Choose” romance where the main female will end up with more than one love interest. There are descriptions of child neglect, abuse, sexual assault, rape and domestic violence. There may be further triggers associated with these.
Brooklyn is used to hiding away from the world. She prefers it that way. That way nobody gets close enough to see the scars she has on the outside and inside from her trouble past. She would rather stay home where it is safe from prying eyes and overly curious individuals than to go out and experience life. But when her best friend is having a going away celebration at one of the hottest new clubs and demands Brooklyn's presence, she can hardly say no. She goes, and with some liquid courage, she actually starts to enjoy herself. Then she spots two devastatingly hot men in the VIP area that makes her mouth run dry. The alcohol in her system makes her not only accepting of them joining her to dance but makes her thoroughly engrossed in it. But when one of them brushes her hidden scars she dashes from the club like Cinderella at the stroke of midnight.
Brooklyn never thought she'd see the men again but when she goes into work the next day to meet with new clients for a fundraiser she comes face to face with them and their two equally as hot brothers. Over the course of their working time together Brooklyn, Oliver, and Jaxon spend more time together and realize that there is more than just a small bit of attraction between them. Even gruff Gideon and elusive Aiden start to pay attention to the new young woman in their brothers' lives. But when Brooklyn's past comes back to bite her in the ass will she be forced to give them all up to save them or will they be the ones to save her?
I love why choose romance where each of the guys have their own separate personalities. Oliver the jokester, Jaxson the peacekeeper, Gideon the protective, and Aiden the daddy dom. They all compliment a different facet of Brooklyn. She knows who to turn to when she is feeling scared, when she needs to laugh, when she needs a dose of calm and even where to go if she needs to give up control to feel IN control. They all had a very great dynamic together.
The thing that drew the book away from being a higher rating is the fact there were a lot of grammatical and spelling errors that made me wince when I stumbled across them. I am usually not a stickler for it but there were enough that it was noticeable. That coupled with the fact that this didn't feel much different than a lot of other why choose romance books I've read. The men swoop in and save the damsel in distress all while being insanely rich and good looking. There is not much originality to the foundation of the story. That is not to say it wasn't still enjoyable. It just didn't make me perk up with a 'huh, that's something I haven't seen before.'
Brooklyn did seem to come out of her shell really easily. One count attribute that to the guys and how she just instinctively felt comfortable around them but... I would think that having been so introverted from her trauma that it would have taken a little more effort to draw her out and make her share her story. It seemed very fast. And a little predictable.
But... I will be reading the next book and seeing what happens next. I am hoping for some retribution for ole Lyle that is for sure.
Brooklyn has a painful past that has left her scarred both mentally and physically. The trauma from her past has kept her from pursuing romance or relationships. She chooses instead to focus on work and on her days off remains close to home. When her roommate Ash asks her to go to an exclusive club with her for a night out Brooklyn is reluctant. However, Ash is insistent because it is her last night in town before heading out of the country for several months for training for her job.
Club 4 is an exclusive club that caters to the elite class, but Ash has been given VIP passes through her work. Brooklyn and Ash make the most of their evening out and Brooklyn finds that she is enjoying herself. While dancing Brooklyn is approached by two very good looking men who she instantly feels attracted to. She allows herself to temporarily get caught up in the moment until panic sets in and she bolts from the club.
To Brooklyn’s total and complete surprise she has not been able to escape that night in Club 4 or the men she ran from. She finds that these two men, Oliver, and Jaxon, along with their two brothers Gideon and Aiden, are some of the faces behind a substantial donation to the charity organization that she works for. Naturally, she is shocked and embarrassed by her behavior at the club while also feeling an intense attraction to the men standing in her office. Allowing herself to let her guard down she accepts a dinner invitation from Oliver and Jaxon. From that point on Brooklyn finds herself falling quickly for both of these men.
When someone from Brooklyn’s past shows up in her life things escalate quickly and she finds her life in danger. Not only do Oliver and Jaxon immediately come to her rescue, against Brooklyn’s wishes, but so does their brother Gideon. When he offers up his services as her personal security she finds herself attracted to him as well. Brooklyn cannot explain the attraction to these men but none seem to be jealous or insecure about her being with the other brothers.
This was an intense and steamy read. The sexual attraction between Brooklyn and the Knight brothers will leave you breathless. Most women would be envious of that type of desire with one man, let alone four of them. This was definitely not your typical love story. Oliver, Jaxon, Gideon, and Aiden were all smitten with Brooklyn and were willing to do anything for her. For them it was more than lust, they clearly cared for Brooklyn and wanted to look after her. When her ex pops up in her life all four brothers jump in to keep her safe. This book had romance, love, lust, passion, violence, danger, and intrigue. It took some twists and turns and ended on a cliff-hanger that is going to drive me crazy until I can read the next book and get some answers. I highly recommend!
I was not prepared for this book. I was not prepared for the feelings, the drama, the excitement, the laughter, the pure enjoyment of reading this book. If you haven’t, you should definitely read this one.
Brooklyn has worked her way to a directorship at the nonprofit she started working for as an intern in college. She has worked hard to get where she is. Brooklyn is a survivor, the foster care system and an abusive boyfriend that nearly killed her. Both her job and her life become threatened when her ex is released from jail.
One night while out dancing with her friend, Brooklyn met Jaxon and Oliver but she didn’t know who they were. It is not like they exchanged names on the dancefloor. When Jaxon and Oliver show up in her conference room as new donors for the nonprofit Brooklyn works for, the fireworks start. Jaxon and Oliver are part of an elite group known as The Four Knights. The boys grew up together, having each other’s back in the foster care system. When they aged out of the system, they decided to make their brotherhood official, all sharing the same last name. Along with Jaxon and Oliver, there is Aiden and Gideon. This foursome brings some interesting challenges for Brooklyn.
When the threats turn more deadly, Brooklyn starts relying on the Four Knights for more than just friendship. As the feelings become real, Brooklyn is scared and runs. She only gets to hide for a short time before her ex gets brave and penetrates the sense of security Brooklyn had driving her back to the Four Knights. Aiden, Oliver, Gideon, and Jaxon have no problem vowing to protect her now and forever. But will they be able to when a traitor to Brooklyn emerges from the shadows?
This book had me on the edge from the beginning. The chemistry between Brooklyn and the guys is dripping off the page. The tension from not knowing when or where her ex will strike next is tighter than a guitar string. The raw emotion that seeps each character as they discuss their past could cause your eyes to sweat. I was not prepared for this. I was expecting a steamy romp through the NYC clubs, not an emotional driven, highly intense thriller but that is what I found. And I am sticking around for more. Bring it on! Now I am ready. Now I know. I am sure the author will throw some curveballs in the next one just to keep me guessing but I feel ready. If I didn’t say it before, this book was phenomenal.
DNF at 46% I’m a bit confused as to why this has such high reviews. For one, the writing seems as if it was written by either a teenager or AI because it’s lacking any depth or emotional intelligence. The characters feel like caricatures with no real definitive distinction. Sure the physical differences exist but they are extremely basic and for a while I couldn’t tell Jackson and Oliver apart. At almost 50% you still don’t even get a real interaction with one of the harem. You just know he’s the stubborn workaholic who avoids feeling because of heartbreak… he doesn’t trust her but once he hears her story he’s all about making sure the guys stay with her. Not to diminish her trauma or anything but he didn’t care about her at all and now it’s all “don’t leave her alone” my guess is he will be like “I tried to resist you but I just couldn’t anymore” at some point… or the ex will make sure something is told to the media and he will blame Brooklyn and you get a big cliff hanger leading to book two. Either way it’s boring.
The story is 100% predictable which takes away any excitement about getting to the end. This is a lot of telling and it’s insta lust. At first Brooklyn is timid and “inexperienced” and by 44% she’s all confidence and sass about what she wants in bed with a guy she just spoke with for the first time.
Her big reveal about her trauma was followed by office sex. She was almost murdered and it’s like a brief story time. Also no comment on the guys looking into her past instead of asking her about it. They can practically move in but talking about her trauma and getting it straight from her seemed like too much? It’s mentioned that she’s feeling uncomfortable during her reveal but that’s it. No fast breathing, anxiety nothing. She paces for a little bit. Grips the desk for a second then she’s in his lap crying as she finishes the story then boom, emotionally induced office sex. I’m not always the biggest fan of multiple flash backs but when you have a trauma experience that significant it would definitely make sense and add to the reader feeling the intense ptsd she is (supposedly) living with.
So many sex scenes and they were all pretty generic and lackluster. Instead of adding depth to the characters and their forming bonds the author just makes them have sex.
I’m not sure this makes any sense to anyone else but this book reads like it’s written in monotone lol

Brooklyn Reeves is thinking of ditching her best friend for a quite night in as Clubs is really not her scene, but the more Ash pushes her she is succumbing to the idea, plus it is one of the hottest clubs in town Club 4.
Once inside she feels eyes upon her not in a creepy way but a sexual chemistry kind of way until she is introduced to not but two good looking men, once on the dance floor she is covered with warm and trust with these two men and ask it becomes more intense she realises what she is doing and runs away in embarrassment.
Jaxson and Oliver are part of the “Club Kings” four brothers who forged a family from trust and courage not blood, but when they see the blonde walk in the club they are instantly drawn to her. As they have shared in the past this is nothing different but they have a deep feeling of protection for this beautiful woman, until she gets scared and runs from them. Week’s of trying to find her comes to nothing until one chance meeting may change there and the other brother’s lives forever.
They know she is hiding a secret but will they uncover it and can Brooklyn trust her attraction for all four of the men and will she let her guard down enough to live life.
This is the first book I have read but this author and oh my what a read. I always love a flawed character and this book had lots of them, the four men together have forged a bond of survival which plays into each character and shows each are loyal to the end for each other and there charges which was brilliant to read. I especially loved the character of Brooklyn with her visible and hidden scars which seemed to make her more determined to carry on with life even at times she struggled with anxiety but not letting it become her was a brilliant lesson to learn.
There are triggers in this book and if you are uncomfortable with aspects of mental abuse and stalking I may caution you alittle bit with the storyline, but overall the writing was brilliant it draws you into the story and makes you believe you are part of the world and invested in the characters as this is book 1 I can’t wait to get my teeth into the next instalment.
I loved this book! Taming Brooklyn gave the reader so much. Happiness, sadness, pain, suffering, love, friendship, and the beginnings of a polyamorous relationship that looks like it might be spanning a few books. And you know what? I can’t wait! The way the author wrote the main characters, it pulls one in. You get invested, and you can’t help but root for them. There’s some very dark themes throughout, but there’s so much light as well. Brooklyn is broken, in every sense of the word. Mentally, emotionally, and physically, which has made her into a recluse. But one night out to bid her best friend adieu, changed all that. Jaxon and Oliver went for it and even though she ran, they knew she was something special. Unfortunately convincing Aiden and Gideon of that would be another topic. What they didn’t expect is she would be the very woman who was running a branch of the nonprofit they wanted to get involved in. What do the Knight brothers want with Brooklyn? Will her checkered past come back to haunt her? Could it ruin them? So many questions and this book only answered so many, but it’s okay because it was left open for book two! The emotional trauma these characters go through doesn’t seem real, but they are all very real scenarios that people can very well relate too. The way the author presents these past stories may put people on edge, but it gives so much to the book that has been written. The Knight brothers found each other and helped heal each other from their emotional childhood traumas, declaring themselves brothers and changing their names in the process. Will they be able to do that very thing for Brooklyn as they navigate the feelings they share for her? Will she let them? I want to keep writing but I know if I do, I’ll start posting spoilers to this book. So at this point all I’ll say is read it. Develop your own feelings and connections to these characters, just like I did.
This was an ok read but was far more smut than story which I know a lot of people like but wasn't for me personally. There were also a few writing errors such as switching tenses that made it less enjoyable to read. The storyline had potential but there was far too much f*cking and far too little actual plot. I also struggled to like Brooklyn she was really annoying the whole I'm not good enough so I'm gonna break their hearts and make them feel like sh!t storyline was just pathetic and unnecessary imo. She was really weak and whiney I don't mind a traumatised FMC in fact I often enjoy the trope but she just insisted on constantly seeing herself as a victim and had zero strength or character growth. The timelines and back stories also didn't always add up, like she's really high up in her firm but then it seems like Lyle attacked her the night of her graduation and had only been in prison a few years I find it hard to believe she'd go from graduate to literal director in under five years. And she is always talking about her lack of experience and sometimes it sounded like Lyle was her only bf and others like she'd been with other men but had not been satisfied. This book could use a good editor to really pull those treads together. Finally, the guys were all pretty two dimensional. I honestly could not tell Oliver and Jaxon apart they may as well have been the same character she'd say ways they were allegedly different but never showed it. Her relationship with Gideon was a bit like whoa there too she's supposed to be super shy and insecure and inexperienced but basically throws herself at him after spending ONE evening with him during which time he was mostly installing security measures. And let's face it, the mystery woman helping Lyle has gotta be the guys ex it's way too obvious and I'll be shocked if I'm proven wrong but not sure I care enough to read the next book and find out.
This is the first book in The Club King Series. It is a steamy romance told from multiply points of view which really brings the story to life for me and makes every character come alive. Getting the story from several points of view really gives you a deeper understanding of the character and the story and gives the characters a depth that sometimes is missing. There are some dark aspects of this story which maybe a trigger for some people such as domestic abuse, sexual assault and child neglect. Brooklyn has had a traumatic past which has left her with scars both physically and mentally. Since then she is trying to rebuild her life but she feels she carries to much baggage to move forward. One a rare night out with her friend she meets 2 men who will change her life forever. Jaxon and Oliver are owners in Club 4. Never have they felt attraction to a woman as much as they have towards Brooklyn and so they set out to get her. However things aren't that simple. The walls Brooklyn has around herself are so high that no one can get over them. However the brothers are determined to try. And when a past danger returns to Brooklyn's life the Brothers promise to protect her from all danger. But how can you protect someone when they won't allow you to protect them? This story is a romance which has loads of obstacles to overcome and things get more complicated as more of the brothers become aware of Brooklyn and also become attracted to her. Is this Brooklyns chance to finally get her happy ever after with maybe more that 1 man or will her past and the danger lurking in the dark finally be too much for her to overcome.
After reading the blurb of Taming Brooklyn I was still unsure what to expect with this book, I was most certainly not prepared for how involved I would get in this story, and how much I would really enjoy reading it. I mean I finished this book in one day! Brooklyn has a lot of scars because of an incredibly tragic and tumultuous past. She hides herself away and doesn’t enjoy life because she is utterly terrified and embarrassed until one night she agrees to go out dancing with her roommate before she leaves on a work trip and her entire world changes when she meets the Knight brothers. She is enamored with them and her life with them in it until her unfortunate past comes calling. Boy, was this book spicy and definitely shouldn’t be read by anyone under the age of 18 due to the mature content, explicit scenes, many triggers, and violence but it was so much more than that. When you start you are thrown directly into Brooklyns life now and you don’t know much about what has happened in the past but that is slowly remedied throughout the storyline. I’ve read a lot of similar books and nothing I have come across had such spicy, well thought out, tasteful content but followed along with an edge of your seat, nail biting, thrill ride of a story. This was such an enjoyable read! I can’t wait for more!
From the first moment that Jaxon and Oliver see Brooklyn from the owner's area, it is insta-lust. Due to her past, it has been years since Brooklyn had been intimate with a man...but these two were bulldozing their way through the barriers she has set up to protect herself. Add in Gideon, the silent brother in charge of security...and she soon finds herself in a relationship with three of the four King brothers. But, when her past shows up on her doorstep, the brothers vow to keep her safe. However, allowing herself to let others help her is not something that Brooklyn is good at. And, even though Aiden does his best to keep his distance, the fourth brother finds himself falling for Brooklyn as well. Brooklyn may believe she is broken...but these men want to be the ones to put her back together. Will she let them? Or will she push them away and take care of herself like she has for years?
I enjoyed this book. The characters each have their own unique personalities that mesh well. The storyline is one of heartbreak and heart-mending. There were some H-O-T bedroom scenes, a stalker ex-boyfriend, and past trauma that has shaped the characters into the people they are today. I am looking forward to the next book in the series!
Aiden, Gideon, Oliver, Jaxon - The Club Kings Are brothers but not by blood. They grew up together and decided they wanted to be brothers. One night in one of their clubs Jaxon and Oliver spot Brooklyn dancing and immediately go to the dance floor she is on and dance with her. Things get pretty heated quickly and she flees. Brooklyn has a past that she can never forget. An ex boyfriend really did a number on her and she still has scars…inside and out to remind her of it. The club kings show up at Brooklyns job for a meeting about a donation and everyone was surprised to see eachother. Jaxon and Oliver were happier than anyone because now they know who that woman was and how to find her. Brooklyn has no idea who they were and now that she does, she agrees to a dinner with Oliver and Jaxon to talk about the charity event. Aiden “the brains” behind the kings doesn’t trust her and has second thoughts about their donation. When Brooklyns past comes crashing into her present, the kings vow to keep her safe all while keeping her bed warm. I thought this book was well written but it was kinda long and wasn’t expecting the book to end the way it did. If I knew it was a cliffhanger, I probably wouldn’t have read it.
I always love a book with multiple point of views. I love being able to understand what each character is thinking. This author does a fabulous job of that. You truly get to know the characters and their backgrounds which helps to thicken the plot. I suppose one of the things I did not enjoy is that this novel is 90% erotica. Do not get me wrong, they are very well written scenes. I just wanted to skip through some of those parts because I wanted to know what happened next in Brooklyn's life.
Overall the story was incredibly written and I cannot wait to dive into the second book. The only POV you do not get to read about until the very end is Lyle's. I audibly yelled when I saw his name as I started the chapter. That is how much emotion I had devoted into this book. I just wish it had a few less sexual scenes; it is not necessarily my cup of tea. But, if you enjoy that, then this book is definitely for you. Also, there is warning given at every corner, but take note of the trigger warnings that it contains. I highly recommend this book. It would be five stars for me if it had less erotica, but do not let that stop you from reading this intoxicating story!
Contemporary Romance Reverse harem First person, All love interest pov Tw: past rape, past physical harm, scars,
I thought this was a sex club book, nope they just own a normal night club
Had a bunch of typos, mostly points in the story where it randomly switched to present tense writing but it didn’t flow well because the rest of the sentence was in past tense, at some points you would get a full sentence in present tense, which would immediately switch over to past tense, maybe an “apply to all” formatting error or something.
Apart from those writing errors, there were no other typos, and it was well written with good structure. The story was pretty good, very immersive, you could feel all of the emotions, the guys were distinct and had noticeable differences (though Jaxson and Oliver were similar at points and there’s some tell not show to give more differences) and they treated the main character with the care she needed. At some points the dialogue felt cringe like the repetition of “hey there big guy!” you don’t fully get to know the rest of them apart from the tell not show moments, where Aiden is shown laughing, what did he laugh at? Idk I’d like to know
Character growth focus, The vibes were pretty cozy, there was some dissent and hesitation/distance from other love interests with past experiences but it was pretty clear they all had a soft spot for her.
I feel like they all handle the communication aspect pretty well too!
In terms of spice, it’s multiple scenes, almost chapter after chapter at one point, apart from orgasm scenes, you also have 7 solo sex scenes. Gideon has the most. You also have multiple group scenes, there’s one MFM that’s not too intense, one MMFM with slight anal, in terms of romance you also have a lot of flirting, banter and the love interests getting to know her and caring for her, also cuddles!!!
The pacing slows down a little for the sex scene portion of the book I think
There is a mini third act in the middle but it got resolved quickly. For her being unsafe, it felt a little off for them giving her full support and security to practically none besides the cameras
It’s cozy until it’s not. The plot with her stalker gets intense and that amps up the pacing a little
The men in this book are hot as sin. Oliver and Jaxon are playful romantics, Gideon is the strong, protector, and Aiden is the true Alpha, quiet, calm and powerful. Yet they all are enamored by Brooklyn. The thing I am not sure about is the title of this story. It says "Taming Brooklyn" like there is a D/s relationship somewhere in this story and there is not. This is a RH story and Brooklyn is a survivor of domestic abuse and is employed by a non-profit group that helps foster kids. The four Knight "brothers" own a club and they are investing in the non-profit. Anyway Oliver and Jaxon discover Brooklyn first and they are determined to be with her. In true brotherly fashion (well normal for these brothers) they share everything. This story does have instances and talks of Rape, violence, fighting, and graphic sexual encounters with multiple partners so reader discretion required. I however loved every suspense filled page and cannot wait for book 2 since this one does end in a cliff hanger.
First of all, let me start by saying that this book comes with a trigger warning that definitely should not be taken lightly. However, having said this, I completely loved this story. I think it was very well written. It is super steamy and spicy for sure! I will say I was not expecting to be taken on this emotional roller coaster. I knew that this book would pack on the steam but I did not expect to have all the feels. Brooklyn is truly an amazing character who has overcome so much but who has also built up so many walls to keep herself safe. However, the walls she has built around her will never be tall enough, she just doesn’t realize this. She meets some amazing club owners who begin to convince her to let her guard down. Who also share a background not so different from hers. The truth is - she needs them and they need her. There is so much in this story that it is nearly impossible to put down until the very end and it leaves you wanting so much more!
Taming Brooklyn is a delightful romance tale and is the first book in The Club Kings series. Let me tell you The Club Kings are hot! This is my first time reading anything by Charlotte and I was happy to find I liked her work. Now I will be going back to indulge in the others. I love a story that is dark and Taming Brooklyn is just that. There is steamy romance that is slow burning but then there is romance where it hits you instantly. With a dangerous ex, a stalker and sexy men who are protective and alpha what could go wrong? The answer is plenty. The story is told in multiple POV which is the best way to tell stories these days because you get a better inside look in to the true character of these fully realised complex characters. Their story is spicy, sexy, steamy and hot along with some fun. I perfect read to escape the world worries for a bit and enjoy some adult time with a healthy dose of a stiff drink. I can’t wait to read more of Charlottes work.
This book had me completely captivated right from the very start and proved to be so, so much more than I could have ever predicted. Brooklyn has had such a very cruel past and because of that she avoids real love and relationships then along comes the 4 Knight brothers who are bound so strongly by much more than just blood ever would. They are drawn to Brooklyn and are determined to show her what love can truly do. They will do anything they have to in order to keep her safe when her past comes back to threaten her! This was a creative storyline that had me eagerly turning page after page but what truly had me completely hooked was the amazing characters created by this extremely talented author. They weaved their way into my heart and held on tight! I can't wait for more! There is so very much I need to know. I don't just want to know what is going to happen for them all but I NEED to know.
Taming Brooklyn (The Club Kings Series Book 1) by Charlotte St. Pierre. This is a bang of a first book in a series. Its the story of Brooklyn who has not had an easy past so when it comes to guys she's not going to just walk off with the first one around. Emotionally Brooklyn might not be ready for a new romance but when she meets Oliver and Jaxson its more of a lust factor and not a romance but with Gideon and Aiden its more of a slow and steady wins the race type of thing. She invites them into her bedroom but not her heart and when her past comes back to haunt her they will protect her at all costs. Will she finally be able to relax and give her heart away? This book is full of all the things, more than one partner, assault and abuse so be prepared for triggers. Its a great first read.
What can I say about his book that is not going to get me banned from review sites…. If you like reverse harem with a strong lead female, who has come from nothing and has secrets, and battles to stay alive, and the male counterparts to be strong, handsome and have also built their empire up from nothing. We meet and follow Brooklyn who works for a non-profit organisation, working on a fundraising gala, On a night out with her best friend she comes into contact with two very interesting men, but her past has her having walls up around herself. They cannot get close. Two of the knights are intrigued by the unknown woman, but they do not know who she is. Then she comes into their life again, and her past catches up with her. Hot book, hotter characters, amazing story … I really want to read more from this author.
This is the first book in this series and what a great start it is. This is my first book by this author and I look forward to seeing what is next for them. This is a well written story about how running from love and emotions and what happens when faced with a road block that stops that running. A story that brings steam and romance to a new level. A story where the characters are relatable and bring so many emotions to the table. There are some things that could be triggers for some but if you can get past those you will find a great romance story that is hard to put down. This is a fast paced, engaging story that you don’t want to miss. This is just a great story and I highly recommend it.
Taming Brooklyn is the first book in The Kings Club series by Charlotte St. Pierre. This is a reverse harem/why choose contemporary romance with chemistry, secrets, angst, protective alpha-male types, insta-lust, stalker, danger, emotion, steam, suspense, past-trauma, and dramatic developments. The story is told from multiple POV’s which gives us a great perspective of what is happening. The story also has some darker details which could be considered as triggers for some, such as- child neglect, abuse, sexual assault, rape, and domestic-violence- so be warned. The story ends on a bit of a cliffhanger and is set to continue in the next instalment. Happy Reading…
Great start to this new series.Brooklyn has many secrets that she has kept in the back of her mind. Now she is looking to make her life a much happier one. But how? So when she goes out with her friend, she finds herself in the middle of many steamy hot men. How does she choose? Why should she? Will her secrets chase them off? Reading this story is the only way you will get answers. No Spoilers! This is a fast paced story that involves many aspects to finding the romance that will satisfy everybody involved. The characters are in my opinion amazing and fun to read about. There are some dark areas in this story, even some romantic areas as well. This is a new author for me, but one I will be looking out for as I want to see how this series ends up.
Brooklyn is a tough survivor, raised in the fostor system; got serious with a boyfriend who ended up attempting to kill her. She avoids anything romantic related at this point in her life. She's worked hard to become a director of a non profit, and her roommate is going away for a couple months on a work assignment so they go out for the night to a club. Brooklyn (and let's be honest also myself) was not prepared for the instant red hot chemistry between her and two of the "club kings". They make her feel things and she runs... but they aren't about to let her slip away. This book had red hot smexy scenes, Romance and action when the past comes calling for Brooklyn once again. This is an absolute can't miss book!
This was a great 5 star read. It was a rollercoaster of a ride with everything going on. Brooklyn is a hard worker with a traumatic history. Brooklyn meets Oliver and Jaxon one night at a club. Fate steps in and they see each other again, this time there is more interaction and sparks fly between them. When Brooklyn starts getting dangerous threats, the Four Knights help her. Will they be able to keep her safe? Overall this was an edge of your seat read. I really liked how the guys got protective of Brooklyn and wanted to help her. My emotions were all over the place as well, they get you in the feels with their stories. All the characters added a great element to the story. I look forward to reading more from this author. 1-click and get started today.
This book absolutely blew me away and I loved every second of it!! I haven’t read anything by this author before so I went in not expecting too much from the storyline, but WOW was I proven wrong! Brooklyn has been through a lot in her life and assumes that surface level relationships are all she’s worthy of. Little does she know that there are two incredible (and hot) men that are ready to show her that she has so much to experience and love about herself. If you love why choose romances with TONS of spice and steam, this is the perfect book for you! It has a great storyline, in-depth characters, drama, and did I mention steamy scenes? I just picked up the second in the series as I cannot wait to see what this marvelous author has in store for us next!
From the moment their eyes they see each other something changes and I think it's for the better.
Brooklyn has her professional life in order, she is in charge for a large non profit. Her personal life is not nearly as in order. She has one close friend and a closet full of secrets.
The guys are Oliver, Jaxon, Gideon & Aiden the Knight Bothers who have built themselves into something impressive. They started with nothing but one another as kids, bow as adults they still have one another and so much more.
The sparks fly from the pages as you're reading this book starting in Chapter One and the heat only continues to rise from there.
I already have the next book on my TBR and will be reading it as soon as possible.
Loved reverse harems! This story was wonderful! I love how Brooklyn’s character is a tough and independent woman, and although scared of her past catching up is still trying to look forward to her future. Her future at her job, and with her men. Of course I fell in love with Jaxon, Oliver and Gideon right away but knew I would grow to love Aiden eventually. I love that these men don’t care about her scares, they care about her, keeping her safe and telling her how beautiful she is. If only this was real life, sigh. I can’t wait to see what comes next, since Lyle is still out there and I have a feeling I there are going to be some crazy twists coming up.
Taming Brooklyn was simply an amazing read. From the hotness you want, to the structure of the characters and a story line that draws you in. I could NOT put this book down and read it in a full afternoon. From page one, I was attached and wanted to read more. Brooklyn and her past draw you into the story and then meeting the Four Kings simply make her shine. Aiden, Gideon, Jaxon, and Oliver truly bring so much to her, and each bring so much in different ways the table instantly that you know, why should she choose? This is a new author for me but one I want to read more of. I liked the hot scenes, I liked getting to know about each character, and the buildup of a great story line!!
I had many emotions reading this book. Brooklyn had worked super hard to get were she is at today. She had a very hard past. Her abusive ex is released from jail, now she has to watch every turn she makes. She meets Oliver and Jaxon while out with a friend. They happen to be donors of her business. The brothers have also had a rough past. Sparks start to fly the more she gets to know the boys. She also meets Gideon and Aiden, together the boys make the Four Knights. She relies on the of the boys to help protect her for her ex. The boys don’t mind at all protecting her. This book was not the story I was expecting to read, it was way better.
