He canım he 😒 Bu kitaplardaki klasik bir tema ama bazen çok can sıkıcı oluyor. En sonda Hana ve Kieran için bir kitap tanıtımı gördüm. İlgi çekiciydi. Belki devamına bir bakarım.
4,5 stars rounded up to 5 stars because of Bruno ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What made me can't give 5 full stars was that I felt like I needed more background context on Amos and Lilly. More details on Amos's adoptive parents, more details on how Lilly's family could be so rich, and more closure on how Lilly's relationship with her brother was after the shit show he created. At 83% of the book, I felt so damn sure something bad would happen that would make me rate this book 3 stars or less. Bad thing happened indeed, but glad Lilly was so damn mature and smart. She was the bone of this whole relationship between her and Amos. Amos played too much with his pushes and pulls. If Lilly were not fighting and stood up for what she wanted, I don't think her relationship with Amos would work out well. I understood that Amos acted like that because of his past, that's why I loved that Lilly was so strong and put him in his place.
This book contained heavy stuff discussed such as pedophiles, human (especially child) trafficking, and many more. So, please check the trigger warnings before you read this.
The ending of the suspense side of the story was also kinda underwhelming for my liking. I wish there were more explanations of how "the bad guy" did and covered their "bad stuff".
Though this book is 400+ pages, this book was easy to read and page-turning. I could easily read it in one sitting if the real life of motherhood and wifehood didn't catch up with me.
While this is my first book by this author, I will not stop with this book. I will patiently wait for the next book in this series and read the other previously released books from this author. Especially since the author already teased me with a Bruno's book sneak peek, I am so invested in him and can't wait for his book.
Thank you to D.A. Lemoyne and The Author Agency for the ARC.
Oh, The Sinner’s Desire is a dark, delicious mess of craving, control, and forbidden lines. The kind of read that makes you blush and squirm in all the best ways. Amos Cooper-Hayes is the kind of anti-hero who torch-lights every room he enters, haunted by his past, devoted to vengeance, obsessed with control, and governed by one rule: Lillyana Ross is off-limits. Because she’s his best friend’s sister. Innocent. Sheltered. Mostly invisible… Until she moves back into the house, quiet no more, and every push Amos has built around his heart starts cracking. Lilly isn’t just the sister who fades into the background: she has curiosity, a backbone, clever fire in her words, and she doesn’t let Amos play the strong, detached facade without calling him out. Their chemistry? ELECTRIC. Steamy glances. Grudging respect that morphs into longing. Guilt, loyalty, and danger all a delicious, messy swirl. The forced proximity, the age gap, the “best friend’s little sister” taboo, and Amos’s vigilante lifestyle (yes, there’s action + trauma + some darkness) make the stakes high and the tension higher. I cried for Amos’s past, I cheered for Lilly’s courage, I gasped at the moral tightrope they walk—and by the end, I was emotionally wrecked, more in love than I expected. If you love morally gray heroes, innocent light breaking through darkness, and romance that doesn’t shy away from hard truths or messy feelings, this one is absolutely addictive.
“You are fucking gorgeous . No woman could ever compare to you, Lillyanna. No piece of lingerie will ever match the beauty of your naked body.” “My love, my sinner. MINE.”
Oh this book and how I swooooned!! Amos is such grumpy killer perfection 🥵 He starts out acting indifferent ton his best friends innocent younger sister, Lillyanna. Hes has such an awful traumatic childhood that he refuses to trust anyone with. So instead of trusting anyone with his baggage he kills the people that gave it to him. And then Lillyanna moves home. Into his home. Lilly has been infatuated with Amos for years but he’s super rude and treats her like she’s a little kid. So like always she fades into the background where no one notices her. When she decides to move into her brother and Amos, his best friends place things slowly change between them. I absolutely devoured this book! It was so captivating and kept me on the edge of my seat. Extremely heartbreaking and horrific at times Amos makes up for it! He’s such an ass at time but Lilly does not put up with it! I just truly LOVED everything about this book, highly recommend!
I loved this book so much! I’ve read my fair share of brothers best friend books where the mmc is supposedly this evil terrible person who needs to stay away from their best friend's innocent sweet sister. And of course every time they fall for each other, but despite how similar storylines tend to be, I really enjoyed this one. She goes to live with him, is a pretty standard plot along with the mmc being a vigilante, stopping human trafficking and using unlawful methods for justice. All stuff I’ve read before, but the fact that he himself was almost a victim of human trafficking and was physically and mentally abused by the organisation he’s trying to take down, makes it more interesting and way more personal. He’s got a tragic past and damn the way I cried was embarrassing. I loved both characters but Lilly really caught my eye, because at first she’s kind of shy and tends to ramble all innocent like, but later she starts to find her strength. But in the “I can see through all your bullshit” way, so she doesn’t fall for his manipulations and him trying to pull away or make distance between them, which I found to be the best part. This plot was good, the plot twists weren’t really surprising but were written really well and were really thrilling and intense. The ending made me cry so hard because Amos is a total sweetheart. I really enjoyed this and give it a ⅘.
This is the first in a n new series, and this is Amos and Lilly’s story. Lilly is innocent, who has led a sheltered life, raises to be quiet and invisible, while Amos, is a sinner, dominant, and he is control obsessed, and he is her brother’s best friend. This is a well written emotional roller coaster, with found family, friendships, roommates, opposites attract, grumpy / sunshine, forced proximity, trust, an age gap, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, tragic, and unpredictable, page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Amos Cooper-Hayes is messed up in all the best ways—gruff, dominant, control-freak, and drowning in his own demons. He’s got one rule: don’t touch his best friend’s little sister. But the second Lilly walks into his space, soft and sweet and looking like temptation wrapped in innocence, all bets are off.
Lillyana Ross was raised to be quiet, polite, invisible. She’s not loud. She’s not bold. But there’s a quiet strength in her, and Amos sees it. Hell, he feels it, even when he tries to shove her away. The tension between them is insane—like every glance, every breath, every moment is about to ignite. And when it finally does? Forget it. It’s filthy, it’s emotional, it’s everything.
This book is packed with all the tropes that hit just right—brother’s best friend, age gap, grumpy/sunshine, tortured hero, forbidden love. And Amos? He’s the kind of anti-hero that wrecks you. Protective, dangerous, and completely obsessed once he gives in. Lilly might seem soft, but she’s no pushover. She holds her own, even when everything gets messy.
There’s pain, there’s heat, there’s found family and secrets and moments that absolutely gut you. And yet, through all the chaos, there’s this soul-deep love that makes it all worth it.
This book is packed full of wonderful tropes: age gap, best friend's sister, forbidden, innocent heroine, tortured hero, opposites attract. I knew this would be a great story and it didn't disappoint. Lilly is a good girl, innocent, shy, and went to a Catholic boarding school. Amos has a tortured past and he's strong but guarded and lets few people in. When he sees Lilly he knows she's forbidden but he can't help himself. Her innocence is something he craves. When Lilly becomes involved with Amos she quickly shifts from a shy girl and becomes fiery and feisty. She comes into her own. The character development of these two is really good. They compliment each other in many ways even with their different backgrounds. This was a really interesting story and I look forward to reading the next one.

Uma Avassaladora História Que Nos Encanta e Faz Querer Conhecer Essa História Incrível. Lemoyne Por Essa Belíssima História. Uma História Inesquecível Que Encanta. ❤❤❤
Amos e Lilly são mais um casal da D.A que vai ganhar seu coração. Uma leitura envolvente com personagens intensos e bem construídos. Adorei! Recomendo!
Amos has always kept Lilly at a physical and emotional distance - as someone with his past, the darkness within him, he knows better than to engage with his best friend's innocent younger sister. But then she moves into his home and all bets are off. There's no telling how long it will take before his restraint snaps and he can't resist the pull to her anymore?
Though she was kept at a distance from Amos, Lilly has always crushed on him. Now she's living with him and that crush is morphing into something far beyond a simple case of unrequited feelings for her brother's best friend. The question is, though, will Amos' dark past be too much for her? Will she run when she realizes exactly who Amos is? Could her light be exactly what he needs?
Forbidden, best friend's little sister has never been so intense and delicious as Amos and his Lilly. His heartbreaking backstory had hardened him into a vigilante intent on taking down the people who caused him so much pain, and had him helping others who suffered much the same as he had. His future was looking awfully bleak until Lilly came back into his life and became his everything. There's angst and more pain, a blazing hot chemistry, and two people falling in love despite their many obstacles. Beau's and Lucifer's stories are coming next, and I cannot wait.

D.A. Demoyne’s The Sinner’s Desire is a blistering, emotionally intense debut in The Sinner’s Touch series, delivering a provocative blend of forbidden romance and dark vulnerability. Told with raw sensuality and a haunting undercurrent of redemption, this is a story that lingers long after the final page.
At its heart is Amos Cooper-Hayes, a man driven by dominance, vengeance, and a need for control that stems from a traumatic past. Haunted and hardened, Amos is not your garden-variety book boyfriend—he’s a gritty, morally grey anti-hero who teeters on the edge of obsession. His world is violence, secrecy, and vigilante justice. Yet when Lillyana Ross, his best mate’s innocent sister, enters the picture, his fortress of restraint begins to crumble.
Lilly is the epitome of light and naiveté—a young woman raised in rigid Catholic institutions and groomed for a life of obedience and silence. She is unused to defiance yet drawn irresistibly to Amos’s barely contained darkness. Her character doesn’t rely on naïveté as a flaw, but rather serves as a catalyst for transformation, for both herself and Amos. Despite her upbringing, Lilly emerges as quietly strong, curious, and emotionally intelligent.
The chemistry between them is combustible from the outset. Their story is laced with tension—sexual, emotional, and ethical. There’s a palpable push and pull between desire and restraint, between what’s right and what’s too tantalising to deny. D. A. Demoyne masterfully builds this tension, using tropes such as Best Friend’s Sister, Grumpy/Sunshine, and Age Gap Romance to full effect, without ever slipping into cliché.
Where The Sinner’s Desire truly stands out is in its atmosphere and internal conflict. The prose is taut and evocative, steeped in themes of redemption, control, trauma, and the transformative (and often destructive) power of love. Readers who crave morally complex heroes and slow-burn emotional intensity will find themselves devouring this novel in one sitting.
The plot blends forbidden love with forced proximity, throwing the characters into close quarters and emotional danger. The vigilante undercurrent adds a darker thriller element, suggesting that Amos’s world is far from safe and his secrets could cost him everything—including Lilly.
While it can be read as a standalone, the book leaves enough intrigue (and emotional aftershocks) to make continuing the series a must. Demoyne signals that future instalments may unpack the consequences of this illicit romance, while likely expanding on the complex found-family dynamic that threads through this one.
*Tropes: -Best Friend’s Sister -Grumpy x Sunshine -Age Gap (10 years) -Opposite Attracts -Forced Proximity -Forbidden Love -Roommates to Lover -Vigilante Romance -Morally Grey MC -Tortured Hero -Virgin / Innocent Heroine -Traumatic Past -Secret Relationship -Possessive, Protective and Obsessive MC
*Spiciness: 3.5 / 5
Ooo… I love me some Morally Grey MC with vigilante trope and this book delivers it perfectly. I fell in love with world created by D. A. Lemoyne long time ago and have enjoyed all of her books so far. With this book, she has once again done an excellent job with the weaving story and creating amazing characters. I loved both main characters - Amos and Lilyana. My heart cracked and broke for both Amos and Lilyana for what they had to endure during their respective childhoods. Their childhood trauma shapes their personality and their nature. Lilyana is kind, sweet, caring, brutally honest (basically she has no filter and speaks her mind), kinda socially awkward and super loving. Due to her experiences during her childhood, she is used to being in background basically forgotten. She is overly sheltered and hasn’t experienced life. Amos is grumpy, has trust issues, doesn’t do relationships but is also kind and caring in his own grumpy way. Lilyana and Amos’s relationship has a lot of push and pull in the beginning because even though they are insanely attracted to each other, they know they shouldn’t get involve. But their jealousy and possessiveness towards each other pushes them to finally act on their attraction and let me tell you, chemistry between them is explosive. Amos has one hell of a dirty mouth on him which he uses to say all kinds of dirty things to Lilyana. Amos and Lilyana have to go through a lot of dangerous situations before they can finally settle down and start living a life they both deserve. Suspense, revenge plot and revelation of truth had me glued to my ARC to find out what happens in the end. I thoroughly enjoyed this ARC and will highly recommend this book if you enjoy morally grey characters and vigilante trope.
Side Note: This book reminded me of Haunting Adeline by H. D. Carlton, but it’s much less graphic, dark, and the characters aren’t as intense.
Amos has suffered through more than most from a young age, leaving him a jaded, closed-off jerk set on a path of revenge who doesn't believe he deserves good things. Enter Lillyana!! His best friend's little sister which he never saw coming. Amos still believes that Lilly is an innocent, sweet, naive little girl and tries to keep his distance. Lilly, on the other hand, relishes in proving to Amos that while yes she's inexperienced, she isn't the dumb little girl her brother still believes her to be. She's feisty, lacks a brain to mouth filter who says what she means, and knows just how to push his buttons. The tension between these 2 is off the charts and when it snaps they come together beautifully. Until Amos’ past catches up putting Lilly in the cross hairs. He tries to stay away but she proves just how feisty she is by putting him in his place and standing tall beside them. They come out with a few battle wounds and enough love to last them forever, with a side a cutie name Bruno!
This is the first book in the author’s The Sinner’s Touch series and features a brother’s best friend romance with a dominant, bossy MMC and an innocent FMC who had been mistreated and ignored by her mother her entire life, sent away to boarding school in order to become the ideal, submissive wife.
I liked this book more than I thought I might after reading the ‘About this book’ section at the beginning. I guess I must’ve skimmed over the description prior to getting it because I probably would have thought twice before getting one that described the MMC as dominant since I’m not really interested in books containing BDSM but I was glad to see it wasn’t included. It contained plenty of heat, which I liked, but I have to say, I wasn’t Amos’s biggest fan for the longest time. I did get to feeling better about him by the end but it was definitely iffy for a while.
Overall, I ended up liking it and feel comfortable recommending it to anyone who enjoys darker, angsty reads and brother’s best friend romances. 4 stars!
The Sinners Desire is book 1 in the series and follows Amos and Lillyana, and it was a great start to the series.
Amos is haunted by a very dark past, and the things that happened to him shaped him into the person he is today. He trusts no one except his two best friends and has made it his mission to hunt down the monsters of his past.
Lillyana was raised to be quiet and stay in the background. Once she decides to come home and live her life for herself and not for anyone else.
Lillyana is Amos' best friends little sister she is off-limits, but he can’t stay away. Lillyana doesn’t take any crap from him, though, and lets him know exactly how it's going to be, and if he can’t accept it, then he needs to go.
I really enjoyed the character development in both leads. From Amos and his past and allowing the light to come through. And Lillyana, the quiet girl with no friends, i loved seeing her come out of her shell.
This book completely swept me up from page one. The pacing is perfect — quick enough to keep the momentum going, but with just the right amount of emotional beats to make me feel every moment. The chemistry between the leads is absolutely sizzling, the kind that makes you grin like an idiot and read “just one more chapter” until you realize it’s midnight. I’ve always been a sucker for the brother’s best friend trope, but this one delivered it with so much heart. The tension, the stolen glances, and the push-and-pull between wanting to stay away and needing to be closer had me absolutely swooning. I especially loved the brutal honesty of the female main character — her blunt, unfiltered moments made her feel refreshingly real and gave the romance an extra spark. It’s a faster read — I flew through it in a single day — but it still managed to pack in all the emotional depth and romance I crave. If you’re looking for something fun, heartfelt, and completely binge-worthy, this is the one.
Summary of the Book: I literally ate this book up, it was so good that I only put it down for work. It had me with all the twists and turns and the spice level was a 4.5 for sure. The FMC falls for her brother’s best friend and the best friend can’t resist her either. They both have troubled pasts and when brought together it’s truly a must read. I enjoyed following both the MC pasts and how the good girl can always fall for the bad boy. The journey from innocent to full blown feral is definitely enjoyable as well. Very good book!
What I Liked: How the MC were very open with their feelings and what they wanted from each other. Whether the other liked it or not, they were very opened.
What I Didn’t Like: I honestly didn’t like the FMC mother but don’t want to spoil anything.
Favorite Character: FMC definitely was my favorite, I loved reading her journey from innocent girl to grown woman.
D.A. has done it again. She has written a fantastic story that not only keeps you engaged but leaves you wanting and needing more. I love the world that she has built along with all the characters. I absolutely loved Lilly. She may have grown up quiet and severely sheltered, but she had bite and sass. She didn't let anyone walk all over her once she was able to find her voice. Her interactions and love for little Bruno were everything. I absolutely loved her interactions with her damaged boy. Amos is also damaged, but Lilly has the power and love to heal her man of his childhood trauma. She had so much patience with him. Even when he thought he was doing her a favor, she didn't allow him to push her. I loved that Amos was a protector to not only Lilly but also Bruno. I cannot wait to see what is coming in this series.
The Sinner’s Desire is the first book of The Sinner’s Touch series and follows Amos and Lillyana. Lillyana has recently moved back after going spending her time in a catholic boarding school in Europe. She is now staying with her brother and his roommate Amos, however her brother is away on a mission leaving the two alone. She appears to be this sweet innocent naive girl but she is nothing of the sort. She is sassy and feisty and says exactly what is on her mind with no filter. It isn’t long before Amos can no longer deny an attraction to her but bringing her into his world puts her in danger. This is a best friend’s sister age gap romance, forced proximity, tortured hero, abusive past, vigilante hero, alpha male book. You are cheering for Amos to get the love he deserved his whole life. Such an amazing start to another great series by D.A. Lemoyne.
Lilly has been sheltered and kept in a gilded cage her entire life. At twenty years old with financial independence she's ready to break free. Leaving Paris where she was shipped off to and ready to return home to Boston, her brother.... And his best friend. Amos is ten years older, best friends with Lillys brother and carrying a life time of burden, he is tainted, he is dangerous, he should stay far away from Lilly. But with her home, in his home, under his protection, there is no escaping her, or the pill he feels. This forbidden, age gap, brothers best friend, forced proximity, opposites attract romance was amazing! We have a morally grey vigilante MMC and a sheltered innocent FMC who have incredible chemistry. Recommend 5 stars ⭐
I received this ARC for my honest opinion. The Sinner’s Desire by D.A. Lemoyne was a suck you in read. I was sucked in immediately from the start of the story. Learning about Amos’ background and why he and Ethan are friends. Learning about his draw to Lilly. Amos and Lily’s relationship is one of push and pull because she is trying to learn independence from a family that uses her and then pretends she doesn’t exist, he is learning to live after all the trauma and abuse. They come together and teach each other its okay to love and be in love when you are fighting for that person. I could not put this story down. I am excited to read more in the series because this series is going to be fire. I would highly recommend.
Step into a world of secrets, betrayal, and undeniable chemistry where the innocent heroine and tortured anti-hero can't fight their burning attraction.
This book is good, both characters grow into themselves, evolve into their best person. Lilly is naive, shy lost but when she meets Amos she knows what she wants and stands up for herself. Amos is a complex character, he is good, but a very troubled man. This book is spicy, good plot/storyline. I really enjoy reading this author's books. I did miss the small artwork that I have found in her other books
This best friend’s little sister romance had me hooked. Amos Cooper-Hayes, he is a dominant but closed off. The pull he feels to Lillyana is one he tries to resist.
Lillyana, she has a quiet strength to her despite the way she was brought up. Her character growth in this story was amazing, as she shed her shy demeanor.
This is book one in the Sinner’s Touch series. It’s a great best friend’s sister, forbidden romance. Amos and Lyliana could not have been more different! He’s an experienced alpha male and she’s a sheltered woman, ten years younger. I loved their chemistry. He tried his best to stay away from her but, couldn’t resist! I loved it!
The Sinner's Desire is the first book in D. A. Lemoyne's the Sinners Touch series, and is also the first book of hers that I have read. I loved reading and following Amos and Lillyana's best friend's sister romance. Two people who are complete opposites with a ten year age gap. I love this book and looking forward to reading book of the series.
