Your wedding day is meant to be the happiest day of your life. It’s the day you pledge your undying love to the one person you have chosen to spend the rest of your life with. That's true for most people, but in my case, it’s only half true.

This is the happiest day of my life, but it also has the potential to be the saddest. Why you ask? Because it could be the last day I get to spend with my new husband before I'm taken from him.

I love him with all my heart, and I know he loves me back just as deeply, but unfortunately for us, fate has other ideas. We've been tested time and time again, and we've always come through the other side, but this time, things are different.

My name is Crissie Walker, and you’d better be sitting comfortably, because this is my story.

Nicky is a British author from the West Midlands, England. When she's not writing, she loves running, musical theatre, singing, and of course, reading. She has a fondness for mint chocolate, Italian food, and a nice medium-rare steak with all the trimmings.

Writing has always been something I've been interested in. I can go right back to my school days and think about how much I enjoyed my Creative Writing classes.

I was first published when I was fourteen when a poem I wrote about a cat was featured in a charity poetry book. I still have my copy of that book. I was so proud.

It wasn't until 2014 that I began to think I could actually write novels. The characters started speaking to me, resulting in my first book, Heart and Soul.

Since then, I have published a number of novels and novellas, with lots more to come.

I’m not even sure where to start. I am such an emotional mess after reading this unbelievably beautiful story that I’m not even sure what to say, except for that everyone needs to read this book. From beginning to end I was held captive by this authors words. The story of Caleb and Crissie will completely pull at your heartstrings. They met when they were young and knew that they would always be together. But does life go as planned? This couple goes thru so much in their journey as a couple. From lust, love, happiness, sadness, and so much more. Be forewarned, you will need tissues but to me if I cry reading a book, that just shows how great it is. I was unequivocally vested in this story from the very first paragraph. Please, trust me, do yourself a favor and read this incredible book! You will not be disappointed!

So I was looking for an angsty emotional book that would grab me by the heartstrings and when I was recommended this story I looked forward to starting... and wow I'm so glad I did!
Cassie and Caleb had what you would call a bumpy rollercoaster of a journey.
There was highs, lows, happiness, sadness and above all else a hell of a lot of love.
I honestly didn't want to put this story down once i started reading!
Loved these guys together and wanted with all I have for everything to work out for them after all they went through.
Honestly don't want to give away any spoilers but I can say PLEASE READ THIS BOOK LOL!

I signed up for a sort of blind read, and was sent this book in exchange for an honest review. I didn’t read the blurb, all I saw was the cover, and although I’d heard of Nicola C. Priest, I hadn’t read any of her books.

When I first started reading, I thought this was going to be a cute love story about school sweethearts as they grew up together and found themselves and each other. In some ways it was. But it was also so much more.
It’s heartbreakingly sweet. And tissues will be needed. I won’t say any more than that as I don’t want to spoil it for anyone.
I don’t know if this is a first book for Nicola or her 20th, either way, it was written well, and it had a lovely flow.
No matter what she threw at our H and h there was emotion behind each word.
It pulls you from “awww, they’re so sweet” to “god damn you Nicola, why!!! Just why!!?!?”
It’s been a while since I’ve read a book that’s gripped my heart like this one has.
Thank you Nicola, it was a pleasure reading your words.

Jesus Christ.

The emotions this book made me feel. It was almost too much! It physically hurt but in such a good way! As life doesn’t always deal you the boy meets girl and they live happily ever after sometimes life is a giant pain in the ass and chucks stuff at you over and over again.

I have not read anything by this author but I will be looking at more of her books!

This is one of those fantastic stories, which just blew me away! Crissie and Caleb were young when they met and planned their life together, yet life has other curve balls to throw into the mix. This is a beautifully written flawless story, which is an emotional rollercoaster journey throughout, which is a gut-wrenching, gritty, and powerful story. Plenty of tissues required!! I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and look forward to reading more from this talented author, whose work I highly recommend for all readers.
