A Winter Miracle

Rate this book
For Angel Mitchell, Christmas has never been like it is for others. There are no family parties or turkey dinners. No exchanging of gifts or singing carols around an open fire. For her, Christmas is all about surviving the holidays without drowning in grief.

Gabriel 'Gabe' Moss loves everything about Christmas, including sharing his joy, and happiness with others. Everyone finds his love of the season infectious; everyone except Angel, who is determined to convince him that Christmas isn't the be all and end all, and she is perfectly fine the way she is.

Despite Angel’s protests, Gabe makes it his mission to make her believe in Christmas again, but when an unexpected threat to her safety appears out of nowhere, Gabe is forced to go against Angel's wishes to keep her safe.

Can Gabe break through Angel’s tough exterior, and melt the ice that has encased her heart for so many years?

Nicky is a British author from the West Midlands, England. When she's not writing, she loves running, musical theatre, singing, and of course, reading. She has a fondness for mint chocolate, Italian food, and a nice medium-rare steak with all the trimmings.

Writing has always been something I've been interested in. I can go right back to my school days and think about how much I enjoyed my Creative Writing classes.

I was first published when I was fourteen when a poem I wrote about a cat was featured in a charity poetry book. I still have my copy of that book. I was so proud.

It wasn't until 2014 that I began to think I could actually write novels. The characters started speaking to me, resulting in my first book, Heart and Soul.

Since then, I have published a number of novels and novellas, with lots more to come.

I absolutely loved this book. I couldn’t put it down. It is written so well that it makes you feel connected to the characters. Just what I needed to bring a little bit of festive magic into my life. I would highly recommend.

OMG this was certainly not what I expected, it pulls at your emotions for sure and I didn't want to put it down until the end. Angel Mitchell doesn't do Christmas not since it took her family and left her grieving and living with her guilt, now she just survives...…. Gabe Moss loves Christmas, sharing the festive spirit with everyone, that is until he meets Angel she tries to show she is perfectly fine the way she is. Gabe is instantly intrigued by her and sets out to show her how to enjoy it again albeit in small steps. When an ex starts to stalk them and threaten her safety he does everything he can to protect her, can they get through it and actually be happy ?????? So worth reading and won't disappoint you.

This isn't your typical Christmas novel. In fact, upon reading the opening I wasn't sure it was for me at all because it was quite disheartening. But after tragedy strikes, Angel about manages to pick herself back up and meets Gabe, who's had his own torrid time of it. They recognise the sadness in each other and Gabe proceeds to show Angel that the accident doesn't have to define her. Thankfully, it's not all doom and gloom and by the end, I was happy with the outcome. Would recommend to anyone who wants to read something that's a little different.

Loved this book. It may have brought a few tears to my eyes at the end of the prologue. Nicola has written this book perfectly. I would love to read more about Angel & Gabe.

Please write more about them... This book gives you warm christmassy fuzzy feelings and make you believe anything can happen even when the crapiest thing that ever happened to you.

Please read this as you won't regret it. X

Wow what a tragic start to the book, it truly was heart breaking.

I quite enjoyed this book; you can feel the emotions from the very first chapter. I don’t know who Angel was trying to convince that she didn’t like Gabe and wasn’t interested in him because it didn’t work.

I loved how Gabe wouldn’t give up on her despite only knowing her for a couple of days and her constantly trying to push him away.

I had no problem imagining what the characters all looked like along with the scenes and places from Angels flat to Aunt JoJo’s pub.

I did not see the crazy ex stalker coming though and thought that both Gabe and Angel handled her perfectly. It was a nice little addition and made it so this wasn’t just another boy meets girl love story.

I’m glad she embraced life and started to live again; this story has a perfect ending for me.

It was a nice little book to read and I recommend people check it out for themselves, it’s a perfect Christmas love story with aptly named characters.
