Santa is missing! Can Mira find him in time? The fact that Mira can hear her cat announce the impending snowfall is not helping her nerves. Her sister is arriving in four hours for Christmas Eve dinner, and everything just has to be perfect, including the tree lighting ceremony afterwards.
The snowstorm and her snarky cat are just the tip of the iceberg of the problems Mira has today. When Santa goes missing Mira decides she must find him while trying to complete dinner on time.
As Mira and Aerie race around town to find Santa before the festivities begin, Aerie insists they enlist the help of family and friends. But can they find out why Santa has been missing the day’s events and still create the festive holiday dinner they all dream of?
Julia spent her early childhood in a small town in Pennsylvania very similar to Pleasant Pond. Her house, also an old Victorian which her dad renovated, was indeed haunted.
2,8 ⭐️As someone else said, it's more of a story for kids. The mystery really didn't feel as such. Some hints here and there trying to build up Santa's disappearance, but nothing truly captivating. Cute ending, good reasons behind all "the mystery", but it feel more like a long chapter within another book than a proper book itself. Also, why do all writers turn their characters into chefs or bakery/diner owners?
Mira Michaels moved to Pleasant Pond, Pennsylvania to get out from under her sister Darla's thumb. In doing so, the sisters have become closer. Now that it's Christmas Eve, Mira is looking forward to a Christmas meal with her family and friends, homemade by her.
But there's a problem: the town's Santa is missing. He hasn't answered his phone, and he's missed his scheduled appointments. With only minor sightings of him, Mira and Aerie are wondering what is wrong. So, more on principal than anything, Mira wants to find Santa before Detective Dan Lockhart. It doesn't help that she keeps running into him, and he's also got her heart racing each time. With the clock running down on her meal, she and Aerie are in a hurry to save Santa so Christmas can begin...
This story absolutely delighted me. It's a short novella, but brings home all the humor, love, and magic of Christmas. While the snow softly swirls around Mira, she's more than on a mission: she's learning that she's able to begin opening her mind to new possibilities, and that Christmas is all about family, friends, and kinship.
There are many humorous situations including those of cat Arnold and Taco, the bird who mainly swears at anyone nearby; but the main part of the story, of course, is if Santa will be located in time for Christmas. A lighthearted, delightful tale, full of holiday warmth, that should be read. Highly recommended. I received an advance copy from the author and BookFunnel but this in no way influenced my review.
Is it good? No. Is it terrible? Also no. But for real FMC Mira basically sticks her nose where it doesn't belong. She is trying to track down Santa after a no show at brunch but once someone says they saw him just a few moments ago mystery over in my books. Also how do you cut your palm chopping green beans? Skip-able.

I didn't really enjoy this novella, but finished it because it was short. There was no explanations for previous book information, so nothing to explain why the characters interacted the way they did, or even who they were. It is basically a book for young kids in my opinion.
Mira Michaels became the chef at the Scoop and Soup diner soon after she relocated to Pleasant Pond, Pennsylvania. Mira and Aerie are preparing for the festive Christmas Eve brunch. But Santa is a "no show." Will Santa come to the afternoon storytime at the library? In the evening, everyone wants to see Santa turn on the Christmas tree lights in town. It's Christmas Eve. Why hasn't anyone seen Santa?
I love this series, but other than my continued delight with the antics of Mira’s cat Arnold and his devotion to teaching his kittens, I could have skipped this story. In the series, Mira’s character has matured since her relocation. Mira’s sleuthing behavior in this story didn’t ring true for me, and her whining became annoying. With copy edit errors, I would have rung the bell for "time out" if the story had been longer.
This novel is just a delight! Our protagonist Mira has moved away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and away from being under the thumb of her older sister. She loves her new home, and the distance has brought her and her sister closer and closer together. She has invited her sister for the Christmas Eve Dinner and she wants everything to be perfect. but Santa Claus has gone missing, and she wants to find him before the local detective does. Where can he be? What has happened? Is it something bad? And her perfect dinner seems to be disintegrating before her eyes! This is just a plain old fashioned novel! I received this novel from BookFunnel. This is my true and honest review.
"Christmas Santa Chaos (Mira Michaels Mystery #6.6)" by Julia Koty seems to be the human side of events happening parallel to the animal events going on in the previous Christmas novella "Christmas Kittens Chaos." However, we only get a few overlapping moments. You could also read either standalone or reverse order. Both super cozy Christmas themed cozy mysteries.
Mira is supposed to be cooking Christmas Eve dinner for her sister and friends. However, she gets side tracked trying to track down a missing Santa. Eventually he is found. However, I think he could have picked up a phone at least once. Especially if he saw it was the police checking on him.
A Christmas eve like none other! Between a brunch served at the diner, last minute grocery shopping, house cleaning, and cooking a special dinner, I am surprised Mira and Aerie even realized Santa was missing, let alone had time to investigate! Fast paced with so many complications, it still epitomizes Christmas joy and friendships. This will help put you in the holiday mood, and perhaps encourage you not to put everything off until the last minute! Of course Mira has great friends that jump in to help her!
Mira and Aerie are very busy doing a Christmas Eve brunch & expecting Santa to arrive, he doesn’t. Mira has her sister & a friend coming to visit & she’s doing a grand dinner for a lot of people, but, everywhere they go they hear that Santa hasn’t arrived, or as been there & dashed off. He’s not at home. Rushing to prepare the meal Mira cuts herself badly enough to need stitches & gets taken to the vet to stitch her up. There the mystery is solved, An enjoyable short read.
Santa seems to have disappeared. See.s everyone is looking. Although Mira needs to prepare for dinner at her house she and her co-worker got out into the blizzard to search. What has Santa so preoccupied that he forgets prior commitments? Will Mira's sister and her friend make it Mira's house through the blizzard? Read about the mayhem that ensues!
A lit bit eye roll in places but it was sweet. It was advertised as a standalone story and I can see how that would be true except that there was no introduction of characters. You were just expected to know who they all were.
Santa is missing, and despite planning a Christmas Eve dinner for everyone, Mira instead goes looking for him. Sweet short story. The characters feature in a series, and there are things which will perplex new readers, but it was fun to read.
This whole novella is about a kind hearted Santa and the mystery of where he is. Throw in a Christmas dinner, a snow storm, And fur babies galore. A fun quick read for this holiday season.
A fun holiday mystery. When Santa fails to show up for scheduled events the day before Christmas, Mira and Aerie head out to find him. Can they find him in time for the tree lighting that night?
It’s a 3.5/5 ⭐️ for me. A Christmas eve like none other! It’s a mystery but I guess since I didn’t read the whole I didn’t think it was an outstanding book.
I got this on Stuff your Kindle day. Short read. Cute, but not very interesting. Writing style was pretty basic and some details and dialogue seemed forced and unnecessary
