While I did like the first issue, I had a couple of problems with it. One was the artwork that looked very sketchy, the other was the bringing up of one quote from Josstice League that everyone has a problem with. This improve on both fronts. Giving Barry an interesting problem to solve while also bringing a new villain into the DCEU. The artwork was a massive improvement, the quality you would expect from a movie tie-in comic. I also appreciate the call-back to ZSJL where Barry and his father have a bonding moment.

Big step up from the first issue.

The art is fantastic and far more suited to a film tie in.

The story also offers more complexity with Barry juggling his powers, work, life and father.

Already preorder issue #3.

I'm very much looking forward to this film, though these tie ins aren't specifically why. The prospect of Ezra, Affleck and Keaton along with a live action Supergirl and some exciting cameos is what's got me stoked!

Better characterization of Barry and an interesting problem to solve. I enjoyed it more than the first book.

The art in this, especially with the tar monster, is pretty amazing. If only the film looked as good...
