After finding their way back to one another, Jake and Mia’s relationship takes an unexpected turn. As Mia now looks back on their last two years, she learns new lessons about herself and Jake that reshape her perspective on love.

As the relationship advice columnist of ‘Just Now’ Magazine, Mia finds herself feeling like a fraud as she excels in her career while struggling in her personal life. She meets new friends, like her tenacious work bestie Grace and goofy non-conforming next-door neighbor Sam, who teach her that falling out of love, though painful, can lead to new and fulfilling experiences.

Mistakes are made along her journey to happiness. But, can Mia find a way to forgive herself for ever accepting less than she deserved?

Well, she has done it again folks. Kristin has taken my heart and broken it into a thousand pieces and then put it back together again. Mia is so relatable, and my heart just feels for her. From the negative self-talk, the what if’s she constantly thinking about, to wondering if she’s stuck in this rut forever… that has been me (and sometimes still is me) and it just really gives me all the feels. I absolutely ADORED the new characters that were introduced in this book, and even though one of them can kick rocks👀, I’m still glad he’s a part of the story. They all bring so much depth to the story and I just wish they’d invite me to be a part of their band! The ending was beautifully written and I cannot wait for the next book to come out to see what happens to my dear friend Mia!

Let’s celebrate this female indie author l! I’m so grateful she entrusted me with her debut novel and then the sequel Losing You (Publishing December 17!)

The words that come to mind when you read Kristin’s books are: genuine, heartbreaking, realistic, funny, honest. Losing You picked back up with Mia’s story as she tried to further her writing career in NYC while balancing a tumultuous relationship. I won’t give anything away, but I really enjoyed seeing Mia’s growth over time. She gives herself permission to feel, grieve, strive, and love herself for all her talents and flaws. The friendships she develops feel real and deep. The negative self-talk and coping mechanisms were so relatable. You can easily put yourself in Mia’s shoes as she navigates young adulthood.

I also loved seeing Kristin’s writing and plots mature and develop. Now I have to wait for book three to see what happens next for Mia! But I’m happy to wait as Kristin works her magic. Congrats on another great story!

Ughhh, not so patiently waiting for the next book. Losing You takes place 2 years after Remember Me and boy I was not expecting it to go the way it did. I was so sad to see how everything was turning out for Mia but the growth for her was beautiful. I loved all of Mia's new friends so much and how much they supported her. I cannot wait to see where life takes Mia next but I hope we get to see all of her friends again (especially Sam *swoon*) I'm so proud of Mia and how far she's come and I hope she gets her happily ever after soon, either with a partner or even independently. I just love this series so much so far!

I knew from the first book that I couldn't stand Jake, so the breakup didn't really come as a surprise to me. He seemed like someone that always put Mia second, sometimes not even second, he seemed to not care about her at all. All the flashbacks of Jake were not my favorite parts because I can not stand this man, but it shows how much Mia fought to keep her relationship when Jake was so hellbent on letting it end. You see just how low she feels about herself in the aftermath of the breakup and questions herself for what she could have done better to save her relationship.
I also found the getting a crush on her boss part realistic because she was at a point where she needed to find a way to feel good about herself again. Even if it wasn't the best possible choice and he obviously is a jerk, she was trying to find something about herself as desirable again, as we all do when we have our heart shattered by a person we thought was the one.
Seeing a tiny glimpse of Ethan at the end made me so happy because my heart was hoping for them to find a way back to each other. But what I loved the most was when Mia started to forgive herself and truly find who she is without an attachment to Jake.

Omg what a book😭so emotional and heartbreaking. This book had me hooked. The story is about Mia who tries to get her life back together after her breakup. And Mia ...oh wow I love her. How strong she is, how she learns to focus on herself and gets back up and tries to create new hobbies new routines. I love everything about the book. That ending.🤍
Also the new friends of Mia. Sam and Grace, I want such friends. Friends wh are supporting you in everything. Listening to the crap you are going through. Dancing to Harry Styles' song "Satellite"
😭Sam...the award ahh agh I have no words.
The first book was great but this one is on a next level. Kristin how your writing has developed. So unique WOW WOW WOW

I burned down the old version of myself and fell asleep with tears in my eyes as I grieved the loss of an old friend”.

It is such a special feeling when a book hits. It truly feels like magic.

When you are completely invested, can’t put it down, get emotional, and have to compose yourself before continuing on.

I have felt that way about all of Kristin Marzullo's reads. And my admiration only continues to grow after reading Losing You.

Losing You is the character development I didn’t see coming and didn’t know we needed after book 1.

I can’t say this enough. PLEASE do yourself a favor and pick up this series.

I'm so excited for book 3.

(read the first book Remember Me first before reading this one!)

I need to first say that we all need a Sam in our lives. The friendship between him and Mia is phenomenally important to each of the characters of this book. I feel that Sam is the glue of this story. I also really love the column idea that Mia writes about. This follow up book to Remember Me really starts to bring out Mia’s perspective of her and Jake’s relationship. I love that she learns more about who she is and hones her writing talent even more in this book. I can’t wait to read the third installment soon!!

What can I say, Kristin has done it again. This book is wonderful. To watch Mia grow and love herself and see her worth after all she's been through is amazing. I love that the story goes back in time to help you understand what has happened. She brought me back to a place that was sad but also happy because I could understand exactly what Mia was going through and how she got to where she was. On to book 3!

This book was so beautiful. Better than book one and left me beyond ready to read the third and final book for this series. Her newspaper article at the end was full of wisdom and truth. I highly recommend both books in this series & am looking forward to the final book!

Losing You Review

This one had a lot of emotions going through it for sure. The way Mia and Jake argued and fought to the brake of them. It's definitely a whirlwind of emotions but in a good way.

We are back with Mia and starting off with a bang. I saw it coming but I also didn’t, Mia is single again and continuing to work through loss, new friendships, new romantic interests and a new sense of independence.

Mia continues to persevere despite her losses and is truly learning what it means to love herself and to heal for herself.

I don’t typically go for non spicy or not super love focused books but Kristin continues to deliver stories that keep me hooked and always coming back for more.
